If it’s full funding, it should be sufficient to get an i20 without the request of a bank statement (lack of deficits). Think about this bro.

Some schools with full GA do not require bank statement to obtain I-20 even with deficits

My question is why do you call it partial when the school call it full You are paying zero dollars to the school and you still call it partial?? The school paid 1500$ in a month to an MTSU PhD GA but they have 2k deficits on I-20 which they do not even require a bank statement to obtain. So that is also a partial funding

What concerns the school with your living expenses If they have sorted out those that concerns them. You don't have to pay that to them. Most deficits are mostly living expenses. Some includes health insurance. If you are the type that can manage, What they pay might be enough for you.

your stipend covers your living expenses without paying a dime to the school. Some GAs even come with Health insurance yet have deficits. You call that partial or full funding?

Full GA doesn’t equates to full funding. If it does, there wouldn’t be any deficits. Not all graduate assistantships pays full tuition and enough stipend. Some call it full GA because that’s the total amount allocated to that particular assistantship; it depends on the school policy. As long as the GA is sufficient to get an i20 without the need of an SOA, I personally think that equates to full funding. But when an SOA is required for some deficits, then I don’t think that’s full funding.

So those that have deficits after tuition waiver and full GA according to the School Policy would have to pay the deficit when they are in school If they wouldn’t be paying any fee even insurance, you call it partial or full funding??

Modified: MTSU offers 18k as stipend to PhD GAs and a deficit of 2k, this is still partial

How many transcripts have you read on this thread It’s full funding even if it has deficit. I don’t like to argue so I won’t quote anyone after this.

If you read transcripts very well on this thread. You will find out that people mention full GA and the Vo will ask how u want to pay the deficit.

Schools that their stipend is just 10k to 15k will surely have a deficit. These deficit does not mean you will pay them when you get to school. You can live confirtably without paying a dime and the Vos knows this as well. So that you got a full GA doesn’t mean you wouldn’t have a deficit.
Schools like MTSU, ETSU, and Georgia Southern University have deficit after Full GA. Check Shawarma’s transcripts, she got a full GA yet have deficit to show on her I-20.

No Full Funding doesn’t mean no deficit . You can have a full funding with deficits. Your stipend might be so low to absorb your living expenses. Once you have a full tuition waiver(instate and out-of-state), its a full funding.

That school is Big enough for anyone to know that it’s not a red flag school. Nevertheless, be prepared to apply with a very good profile if you are going for science, Engineering or Business Program.

Another VO might reason differently.

Sustainable Energy to electrical isn’t a change of course. Infact, ur research can be on sustainable energy while you course is Electrical Engineering.

So switching from Sustainable energy to Electrical is just a change on I-20. It cannot affect Ur Visa... it’s just like someone asking why I switched from a computer Science to Computer Vision

Ofcourse, many had been issued a passport but not the 10years validity. The immigration announced that they will start issuing the 10years validity passport on the 30th of May. No one has been issued yet.

Tha 5years green Passport is available but u have to sort them as usual to get it
