Personally, I think only domicilliary care workers can't use the 33102 code, because they work in client's homes and not any care settings ( I might be wrong ). Also, your job title doesn't really matter, it's the job descriptions.
Anyone using the 33102 should make sure their job duty is atleast 70% of the duties listed on the code.

Worried if the time lag is enough for me to be concerned. Considering DMC needs to receive it to even begin working towards a decision.

I understand DMC receives most applications the following day after biometrics.

Hello good morning, someone said my intended date of traveling to the UK should either be on or before my work start date, I was told to inform my employer to extend my work start date on my offer letter since the cos has already been issued, so I can put the new date on my application. In that way, I can put an intended date of traveling.

Have you checked if you're typing the date in the format it wants? Eg. 20.01.24, 20.1.24.
Also, if your job is a care job, you don't need to pay for IHS.🤷🏾‍♂️

No, it's not a care job and I'm typing in the correct format, My Cos is expiring on the 30th of next month.

Elapsed work start date is not a problem at all, so long as your COS has not expired. The 28daus rule says you can start work not later than 28 days after your visa is granted.
Your intended travel date should be after your work start date.

It keep saying I should put a valid travel date.

Hi everyone, quick one. If the "work start date" on one's CoS is in September and the person is applying for a visa this November (2 months after), is there any problem as the work start date has passed?

Also, if one renewed their passport a month after CoS issuance, is there any need for the employer to update the person's CoS with the new passport number before the person proceeds to apply for a visa? Thanks.

Yes, it is allowed. This is similar to my case as I'm currently waiting for my course end date to elapse b4 I can switch. It is called the 28-day rule. See what the rule says:

S3.10. Once a worker has been granted permission, they should normally start working in their sponsored employment no later than 28 days after whichever is the latest of:

1). the start date on their CoS (taking into account any changes to that date reported by you before their application for entry clearance or permission was decided)
2). the “valid from” date on the worker’s entry clearance vignette (visa)
the date the worker is granted permission to enter, if they entered the UK without entry clearance under the Creative Worker visa concession
3) the date the worker is notified of a grant of entry clearance or permission to stay.”

No.3 applies to you. You can enter the uk and start working within 28 days after your visa is granted.

They will request for UKVI IELTS.

A friend used IELTS without UKVI, attached is the response He got.

The only people allowed to use original IELTS Academy are professional nurses and doctors who have initially passed their professional examination. They are the only ones that don't need it.

They will give 10 days deadline, they won't release your passport to you so you can write another one.

My friend had to opt for Ecctis. I warned him before applying but He get strong head. However before he applied, he ensured he had all ecctis requirements and money for fast track options.

You can register online with one of two organizations, namely British Council (https://ieltsregistration.britishcouncil.org/)
Or IDP/MOD (ielts.ng) you will find list of centers available there including centers in Benin city and you can make your choice.

I took my computer based test on Saturday Dec 10, got my results today.

I paid a week before the test because a school demanded the result after giving me admission, so I had one week to prepare. I did what I usually do when I need information urgently, visit Nairaland

I saw some links to prepare here but I focused on the study materials on the British IELTS site for TEST TAKERS, I did all the practice and test for 3 days, then I paid $5 on ieltsbuddy website and I practised the listening and reading tests only.

I also watched some youtube videos esps IELTS Liz cos she was mentioned on this thread. At the end, I couldn't prepare much because I work from 8am to 9pm daily and I get home tired.

I aced it on my first try. But I have to say that I am pretty good at using words and I have a blog so English doesn't scare me. I had issues with the speaking test because I am an introvert and talking for like 20 minutes non-stop was too much for me, but thankfully, I passed that too.

If anyone needs any help, I am here. And I appreciate everyone that dropped tips on this thread cos I saw what to expect and I realize that following the rules and reading instructions goes a long way.
