WHEN Kirk Dewayne Franklin (born January 26, 1970), American gospel musician, choir director, and author declared last Sunday evening at the Rock Cathedral, Lekki in Lagos, that he missed Nigeria, it was not the usual entertainer’s gimmick to stoke up patronage. Kirk Franklin known for leading urban contemporary gospel choirs such as The Family, God’s Property and One Nation Crew (1NC), and has won multiple awards, including 12 Grammy Awards was the star performance at the just concluded gospel musical concert, “FEARLESS,” at the ultra-modern Rock Cathedral of House on the Rock Church.

The American Pastor and gospel musician who visited Nigeria five years ago, revealed his attachment to the nation at the event, saying that as Nigeria was marking its 56th independence anniversary last year, he was giving the hand of his daughter, Carrington in marriage to a Nigerian, Maxx-Nakwaasah. The beautiful ceremony, which held in Fort Worth, Texas, USA, was officiated by Kirk Franklin doubling as the father of the bride and the officiating pastor.

Information available to Vanguard indicate that the emotion-laden ceremony saw the then 46-year old father penning a note where he expressed his troubles seeing his daughter as a grown woman that she is now, stating that although she wasn’t even gone at the time he was writing the words, he was missing her already. Carrington was legally adopted by the singer in 1989 and finally found love in the arms of the young African-American, whose father is Nigerian and mother, white-American. “She’s getting married today… and I’ve spent an hour and a half rewriting this,” Kirk Franklin wrote. “Crying, smiling, and preparing to let go… of my little girl. I will walk her down the aisle, then I will officiate the wedding. “Why? Because I’m selfish, for my little girl. And she asked her daddy to! How could I say no?! I pray I don’t make a fool of myself and cry more than I speak. God, it’s so hard to release her. If I could I would keep her a little girl, Forever. Selfish, I know. But at this moment, I want to be. “I want to go kart riding, jet skiing, middle school basketball games, movies over and over again….just me and her.

Fearless 2017, the second edition of the worship concert was bigger and better as Grammy award winner, Kirk Franklin headlined the event with Tim Godfrey and his Xtreme crew. The other artistes who performed included Frank Edwards, Mike De-Glorious, Onos, Wilson Joel, Nosa and Blessyn. It was a spectacular event where the radical gospel musician, pressed for time, virtually performed most of his hit songs and was amazed as the over 6,000 capacity crowd was not in any hurry to go home, sang along and heartily danced to every rendition. Earlier at the off-the-hook worship experience put together by Tim Godfrey and Rod Nation in collaboration with House on the Rock featured Tim Godfrey and his Xtreme crew literarily tearing down the roof with extraordinary electrifying performance to the delight of the senior pastor of House on the Rock, Pastor Paul Adefarasin, his wife, Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin, COSON chairman, Chief Tony Okoroji, Patrick Doyle among other on-air-personalities. It is also worthy of note that the crowd outside on the street was much more thVanguardngrnes who made inside the hall to witness the spectacle. Governor Udom Emmanuel of Akwa Ibom State has said that his administration is working towards full commencement of Engineering courses at the state owned tertiary institutions, especially the State Polytechnic and University.

He said with this in view, he will leave no stone unturned in training and equipping the young people in science oriented courses in secondary schools in the state.

The Governor who spoke with Government House correspondents at the Airport, shortly on arrival from an official trip to Abuja said his administration decided to commence with the recruitment of 1,569 teachers to teach all science subjects and English language in Secondary Shools in the State.

He reiterated his belief in building capacity and strengthening manpower ahead of the impending economic recovery in the country.

“…certainly as we prepare towards economic recovery, we need to also build capacity in other to move on, if I don’t do that, it means that I don’t have faith in the economy.”

 He further assured Akwa Ibom people that those sponsored to distract him are wasting their time as he was highly focused.

“I am one of those that have full confidence in the economy, that as we move towards the last quarter of the year, the economy should be back on the part of recovery,” the Governor added.

Your online business model must also include the services you will SELL to your audience.

Let me say this before i continue...

If your support is not excellent your service will fail or suffer low patronage, so focus more on giving excellent support in your blog through quality contents offer like videos, texts, podcast and responding excellently to questions or request in your comment box, with the aim to really helping people.

It will also be a bad business plan for your blog to give excellent support but no service offer in terms of consulting, freelancing or otherwise.

The monetized areas of your blog in your blog business plan are the aspects that offers services such as consulting, freelancing, affiliate products and others which I will disclose the major ones here later.

Don't forget that most part of the services you offer must co-relate with the type of support you give on your blog. Support creates professional trust that establishes credibility for others to engage and buy your services. Niche choosing is important for your blog monetization because people buy professionalism, therefore you need to be seen as an authority in a way before people can trust you with their money. Establishing authority is very important, that is why you need to choose an area of authority called your niche.

TRAFFIC

If you are going to make money from your blog, getting huge traffic to your blog must be a daily agenda and work. Traffics bring visitors, visitors become fans and audience and then they become clients who buy from you online. The monetization process all starts from bringing them to your blog. And the best method of bringing traffic to your blog is to produce quality and really helpful content that solves real problems for people. There is also substation ongoing at Ekim in Mkpat Enin LGA that will ensure power supply to five LGAs. Not forgetting the ongoing plans for immediate and permanent power supply to IPC host, Ikot Abasi LGA.

Governor Udom Emmanuel has done a lot in the power sector and is still doing more. When these ongoing projects across the state are completed, Akwa Ibom will become a mini Dubai.

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17).

Most religions of the world are reflective of man’s efforts to attain righteousness. Men have been seeking the righteousness of God, struggling and trying their best to become righteous. Sadly, even amongst Christians, there’re those still struggling to be righteous, thinking that if they became more righteous, God will hear their prayers.

The righteousness of God is revealed only in the Gospel, and what the message says is that He’s given us His own righteousness, because we couldn’t get or attain it by ourselves. The Gospel is good news, and what it means, in a nutshell, is that you couldn’t be righteous on your own, no matter how you tried. As a result, God had to give you His own righteousness as a gift.

All you have to do is to accept His righteousness, and it’ll be imparted to your spirit and you can live accordingly.

That God has given you His own righteousness is such a liberating truth. The gifts and the calling of God are without repentance (Romans 11:29). It’s also something that can’t be improved upon, because it’s perfect, being God’s own righteousness. This means you can never be more righteous than you already are. 

You can stand before Him now and always, unashamed. What an amazing reality!

That’s the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Romans 3:24 says, “Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” We’ve been declared righteous by His grace; we’ve been acquitted by His grace. We’ve been freed of all charges. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

Jesus took our place of sin and gave us His righteousness. We’re thus the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. We’re as righteous as Jesus is, and this is entirely God’s doing: “To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (Romans 3:26). Blessed be God

PRAYER

Thank you, dear Father, for imparting your righteousness to my spirit! I rejoice, knowing that I now stand justified in your presence. Thank you for ushering me into the transcendent life, where I reign and rule with Christ forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has shocked Nigerians, by disclosing that top members of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, have be secretly visiting him in his house, pleading to join the moving train, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Akpabio, dropped this bombshell on Saturday, at the on-going PDP National non-Elective Convention, holding at the Eagle Square, Abuja, which is being monitored by Post-Nigeria.

“I want to confess, that top APC members have been visiting me secretly in my house daily, pleading to join the party. They know that APC is crumbling, they are now looking for soft landing”, Akpabio said.

Akpabio added that, following the conclusion of the non-elective Convention, the rooms are now open for the APC members to join the PDP.

The Convention attracted over 3,000 delegates.

A young man who forged the NYSC call-up letter and went to participate in the orientation camp in Akwa Ibom has been arrested.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested a fake Youth Corps member, Justice Orlu Ordu, at the National Youth Service Corps [NYSC] orientation camp in Nsit Atai Local Government Area of the state.

Punch reports that Ordu, a native of Ikwere Local Government Area of Rivers State, was arrested in one of the camp's hostels for allegedly forging an NYSC call up letter which he presented to the authorities before he was allowed to participate in the programme.

It was gathered that Ordu had forged his call up letter and claimed to be an Architecture graduate from the University of Uyo.

The State Police Public Relations Officer [PPRO], DSP Chukwu Ikechukwu, who confirmed the arrest of Ordu in a statement, said he was nabbed based on intelligence report received by policemen at the orientation camp.

“Based on intelligence received by our policemen at the orientation camp, officers swung into action and arrested one Mr. Justice Orlu Ordu, an indigene of Ikwere in Rivers State, in Monday Uko’s Hostel in the orientation camp.

On interrogation, Ordu admitted to being a fake Corps member who forged NYSC call-up letter claiming to have graduated from University of Uyo’s  Department of Architecture.He will be charged to court at the conclusion of an investigation,” DSP Ikechukwu said.

He added that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Zubairu Muazu, had assured members of the public that the command had put in place an intelligence-led policing in efforts to reduce crime in the state.

The 2017 Batch A stream II Corps members posted to the state and who reported to camp on July 26 were 1,986.

A newborn baby has been rescued after being abandoned and buried alive in a disused septic tank in West Java, Indonesia. Locals had heard the baby’s cries from under pieces of wood, rocks, leaves and mesh in the old tank, which villagers had been using as a wastage dump.

Video from the miraculous rescue, shows the rubble being removed to uncover the tiny baby.

The baby boy was rushed to hospital where he is recovering after being found in the village of Gantar in the Indramayu district of the region.

One villager said: ‘There were tears. I along with other residents went into grounds of the empty house and it is true, there was a baby without any shawls or clothes.’

They told local media the baby had suffered a cut to his head while the rotting placenta was found nearby.

They added: ‘After we brought to the midwife we immediately took the baby to the health center Puskesmas Haurgeulis and then there was a referral to Bhayangkara hospital. We also immediately reported it to the police.’

Police arrived at the scene and searched the house but there was nobody inside. It is not known if the owners are linked to the abandoned baby.

Indramayu Police Chief Adjunct Senior Commissioner Fajarudin Arif said officers are now investigating who the child belongs to.

He said officers will conduct DNA tests on the baby to try to trace the parents.

WORLD Bank is to spend $60 million (N21 billion) to build 500 rural roads in Abia State to enable farmers evacuate their agricultural produce.

The project would be executed under the Federal Government’s Rural Assess and Agricultural Marketing Project, RAAM, aimed at boosting the government‘s paradigm shift in agriculture.
Speaking, yesterday, at a stakeholders’ workshop, which involved traditional rulers and leaders of thought from rural communities, whose roads were selected for the programme, national coordinator of the programme, Mr.

Ularamu Ubadoma, explained that some of the roads will have bridges to link them with other communities.

Ubadoma said the stakeholders’ meeting was conveyed to enable the traditional rulers and leaders of thought to make input into the various roads selected in their area so as to be on the same page with the World Bank and Abia State Government.

According to him, if there were critical roads that were not captured or if any of the roads captured has already been taken up by any other agency, there would be some adjustments, saying the programme is purely grassroots-based.

“We are looking at areas with difficult terrain to open them up for development,” Ubadoma said.

Redeemed Christian Church of God’s General Overseer; Pastor Enoch Adeboye has pumped N100 million on One Hallelujah Records label.


The head of the label, Pastor Leke Adeboye, who is the son of RCCG General Overseer revealed that the vision is to give artistes opportunity to praise God through their talents.


_ “The aim is to create a platform that preaches words of God through music. That is why the G. O. established the label”, Leke Adeboye said.


One of the artistes signed on the label, Pastor Kunle Ajayi, a renowned saxophonist star artiste added that the O. H. R. is not in the entertainment industry to compete with anybody but to inspire souls that want to praise God.


_ “We are here to appreciate talents and inspire them to disseminate words of God to people at large musically. In as much as there is no one investing into the entertainment to establish Gospel records label and sign on gospel artistes, E.A Adeboye has promised to do that in order to encourage artistes who are very talented”, he said.


One Million Naira cheque was, however, given to artistes signed under the label on Thursday 3rd August 2017 at Redemption Camp Headquarters,


Kilometre 46, Lagos/Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.


We gathered that the artistes signed were Sister Obamike Adeyemi, Tosin Bee, Rebecca Okolo, Femi Okunuga, Michael Akingbaya and James Okon. Others were Moses Onafinjana and Funke who is currently in the United States of America.


Nevertheless, the artistes will kick off their musical tour to the United States of America and Europe very soon. But they will first tour South-West and South-East zones any moment from now after their singles must


have been released.

The Federal Government, has directed the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council (NERDC) to make the Christian Religious Knowledge and the Islamic Religious Knowledge distinctive subjects in the basic education curriculum.


The government asked the Nigerian Educational Research and Development Council, NERDC, the country’s education body to immediately reinstall the two subjects where they were before their grouping under the Civil Education.


Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, gave the directive at a meeting of Ministers of Education with education stakeholders from six geo-political zones and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in Abuja on Thursday.


The meeting, which was also attended by the commissioners for education in the 36 states, focused on the strengthening of partnership in the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.


Speaking through the Minister of State for Education, Prof. Anthony Anwukah, Adamu said the directive to separate the subjects became imperative in view of the various complaints by Nigerians, especially the Christian Association of Nigeria.


He explained that the collapse of the two subjects was done by former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration to reduce the number of subjects offered by pupils and students in schools.


The minister said: “There is this controversy over the merger of CRK and IRK in the school curriculum. 


There were complaints by parents that children were overloaded with so many subjects and the recommendation then was to merge one or two subjects. Unfortunately, water and oil were merged together and it is not working.


“So, to save ourselves the agony, the two subjects should be separated. We push that to the NERDC,”

Adamu, in his keynote address, reiterated the commitment of the Federal Government to revamping the education sector, while appealing to the state governments, as well as relevant stakeholders, to support the Federal Government’s effort.

On 19 July 2014, Juventus F.C. announced that they had reached an agreement for the transfer of Morata, who signed a five-year deal for the fee of € 20 million, with Real Madrid having the option to buy him back in the future. He made his debut in Serie A on 13 September, replacing Fernando Llorente for the final minute of a 2–0 home win against Udinese Calcio; two weeks later he again came on in place of his fellow Spaniard, and headed his first goal for his new club as it won 3–0 at Atalanta B.C. 


On 5 October 2014, against A.S. Roma, Morata came on as a substitute and was sent off for a foul on Kostas Manolas , who himself received his marching orders for retaliating. In early August 2015, Morata was ruled out for a month due to a soleus muscle tear in his left calf during training, and was sidelined for the 2015 Supercoppa Italiana. In his second appearance since returning to action, on 15 September, he featured 85 minutes and netted the 2–1 winner at Manchester City for the Champions League group phase; on 30 September, he scored to help defeat Sevilla FC 2–0 at the Juventus Stadium, his fifth in as many appearances in the latter competition to equal Alessandro Del Piero 's record, and on 24 November he was nominated for the UEFA Team of the Year.


On 10 December 2015, Morata signed a contract extension that kept him at the club until 2020. On 20 March 2016, in the Derby della Mole against neighbours Torino F.C. , he came off the bench in the first half and scored twice in a 4–1 away victory. Return to Real Madrid


On 21 June 2016, Real Madrid exercised their buy-back clause to bring back Morata from Juventus for €30 million. His first competitive appearance took place on 9 August, as he started in a 3–2 win over fellow Spaniards

Sevilla FC for the UEFA Super Cup, being replaced by Benzema after 62 minutes. His first goal came in a 2–1 home success over

On 5 April 2017, Morata profitted from manager Zinedine Zidane's rotations and scored three times in a 4–2 away win against CD Leganés to keep his team two points clear of Barcelona with a game in hand. The group of Arm robbers who drove in a red Toyota Camry were trying to Rob Three banks at a Particular popular and busy street in Uyo the capital City of Akwa ibom state known as Abak Road. From what we have confirmed, they Blood suckers arm robbers couldn't gain access into any of those three banks they were trying to operate, this lead to an exchanged of Bullet between they Arm robbers and the Police Officers that were there, As the security at each of those banks.

The open fire between both of them lasted for a long period of time but ain't took any life of the both team except an innocent woman who is said to be one of those who sales fruit by the road Side close to the bank.

None of those Arm robbers were caught but Thumb up for NPF for ain't giving them the Chance

The incident took place around 3pm in the afternoon.

Seeking approval for relocating or redeploying at the NYSC orientation camp can be a daunting task especially for prospective corp members who don’t have genuine reasons why he/she should not serve in the state they have been posted to.

Although every youth corper has the right to request for a change of state (NYSC Redeployment Scheme / Relocation), one must have a genuine reason to be able to apply.
This article will state the reasons that the National Youth Service Corp Board will allow for redeployment and list the two ways which you can apply for relocation request and be approved easily.

Acceptable Grounds For Redeployment By The NYSC Board.

Below are the reasons that the NYSC will consider your request to redeploy to another state:

This normally applies to only female corps members who want to move to the state where their husbands live at. A corps member who finds herself in such situation should apply in writing after the swearing-in Ceremony stating why he/she wants to be relocated. 1. Marital grounds:

The application letter should be addressed to the Director-General through the State Coordinator. Since you are applying on marital ground, you are to attach the following:

*. A valid marriage certificate

*. A document showing change of name in any of the National Newspapers and Affidavit

*. A letter from your husband’s workplace which will serve as an evidence that your husband is domiciled in the state you want to relocate to.

This reason are for those who have extreme or reoccurring illnesses which requires that they be monitored closely. You will need a medical report from your institution’s medical centre or from a recognized hospital. Please note that these claims on health grounds are subject to further confirmation to establish its authenticity.

2. Health/Medical grounds:

While there are best states to serve as a youth corper in Nigeria, there are some states affected by the Boko Haram insurgents and they are:
in that region. It is no news that parents and guardians won’t even allow their children go for the orientation exercise at the camp talk more of serving in such state.

3. Security grounds:

Borno, Adamawa, Gombe, Yobe, and other Northern states
How To Apply For NYSC Relocation & Redeployment (Approved Ways)
This is one way for the you can write you letter of redeployment is by applying for it while on camp. It is within the 21 days duration orientation course on camp that interested Corp members will have the opportunity reapply for relocation at the second week on camp.

1. Applying within the camp:

Normally, a form will be given out to the interested corper to fill. As stated above, the corper would have to state the reason he or she to relocation, providing proof as evidence. You will also be asked to submit an application letter for redeployment together with the form.
It was difficult or rather an impossible task to get relocation approval after the 21 days orientation camping is over.

The NYSC board has now made it possible to easily apply online for relocating even after the camp is over. You need not wait to get your approval for relocation after 3 months as you can get approved for relocation even after 2 weeks of application.
