For the Nigerian Dream Team, it seems they are still dreaming.. After arriving late at Manaus, Brazil due to flight delay, Samson Siasia’s side managed a 5-4 win over Japan on Friday. Now the team are victorious again following a 1-0 win against Sweden on Sunday -all thanks to Sadiq Umar who scored a wonderful header to qualify the team for the quarter-finals.

Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung who was present in Brazil to support the team and coach Siasia celebrated the important win... Both were seen hugging themselves in the dressing room after the match and also hailing the players.

Former Super Eagles coach Sunday Oliseh was also spotted with the Sports minister and other officials during half-time break...

Yesterday, a young man caused quite a scene after he proposed to his girlfriend in the middle of Shoprite. The girl who was shocked following the unexpected gesture -accepted his proposal not after blushing for some minutes due to the glaring eye of the public.

Governor of Enugu State, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi and his wife, Her Excellency, Mrs. Monica Ugwuanyi , at the Requiem Mass for Chief (Mrs.) Caroline Chinweolu Onoh, the late wife of the former Governor of old Anambra State, late Chief C. C Onoh, holding now at the Holy Ghost Cathedral, Enugu, Enugu State.

Also at the event are the Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency, Chief Willie Obiano and his wife, Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, the Minister of Foriegn Affairs, Barrister Geoffrey Onyeama, former Governors of Anambra and Ebonyi States, Mr. Peter Obi and Chief Martin Elechi, and other array of dignitaries.

Late Chief Mrs. Onoh was the mother of G.B Onoh, Nigeria's former Ambassador to Spain, Amb. Mrs. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu and the Senior Special Assistant to the Enugu State Governor on Special Projects, Dr. Josef Umunnakwe Onoh, popularly known as Ken Onoh.
