A native doctor was killed in a brutal manner while sleeping with his heavily pregnant wife in their home. According to online reports, the native doctor and his wife were allegedly killed by Cameroonian soldiers after being accused of aiding and belonging to separatists/terrorists group in Sabga in Tubah sub division area of the country.

Witnesses say soldiers arrived around 10pm on Saturday and broke into the native doctor's house before executing them in animal style.

This is coming after two Nigerian gang members alleged to be leaders of Cameroonian separatists terrorists’ group were gunned down by soldiers.

The Nigerians identified as ‘General Obi’ and Ojong Elvis Ojong – were killed during a shootout in separate raids conducted by Cameroonian task force at their hideouts.

A lady was allegedly assaulted by a bus driver for reportedly refusing to date him. According to an online report, the man tried to woo the lady but she turned him down which allegedly provoked him.

The rejected bus driver allegedly beat the woman and left her with injuries all over her body.

The wounded woman who was taken to the hospital for treatment, notified the Due Process Advocates (DPA) which has promised to take up the case and bring the man to justice.

The case of the lady who refused to date a bus driver, was actually beaten by the man. Investigation shows the incident happened. The man was annoyed that she said no. He said that he would not take no for an answer. DPA has a serious concern here. Why should a woman fear that if she refuses to sleep with a man, he could beat her up, which is an alternative way to rape her? So, we are taking this very seriously.

A Nigerian man was arrested after he was spotted masturbating in public in Italy. According to media reports, the immigrant was sighted by passersby on Thursday, March 21, after pulling down his trouser and performing sex acts on himself publicly near a train station in Este city.

It was gathered that horrified passersby immediately called the cops over the incident and when the Nigerian man saw the police, he allegedly went berserk and tried to escape before he was nabbed.

The police reportedly asked him to identify himself but he declined and allegedly tried to attack the officers in an attempt to free himself and run.

The police officers dragged him and forced him into their vehicle as he continued ranting and screaming at them while being taken to the station.

It was reported that the suspect was later identified as a 25-year-old immigrant from Nigeria who was previously arrested and sentenced to 6 months in prison over another crime but had his sentence suspended.

A Nigerian man based abroad was humiliated and left stranded after staging a surprise marriage proposal to a beautiful lady during her birthday party.

The man got on his knees and brought out the ring for the proposal at the Nigerian lady's birthday party which happened recently in Europe (believed to be Italy), only for the lady to shake her head and turn him down.

The humiliated man still knelt down with the ring after being rejected as friends who gathered for the birthday party/surprise marriage proposal - urged the lady to take the ring and accept him but she still refused.

Internet users have reacted to the incident which was captured on camera, with some blasting the lady for rejecting the guy while others have criticized the guy for proposing to the beautiful lady when he "looks unsure of himself and lacks packaging".

A woman has passed away in a tragic circumstance which has left her family and friends in lament. The deceased identified as Janefrancis Madumere from Mbano in Imo state, died after falling into soakaway pit.

It was gathered that she fell inside the pit and was there for some moments before her mom noticed what happened. She had already died by the time she was removed from the pit.

The painful part is that the deceased had already gotten visa to travel abroad next month and was preparing for that before her untimely death.

A friend of the deceased, Ezeji Nneka took to Facebook to mourn the loss. She wrote;

Damn it. damn money. damn stress. damn everything.. Hey I'm really hurt my heart is . What an unbelievable bad news.its just Janefrancis Modest Chukwu Madumere a dream, who will travel with ur visa next month. who will take care of ur parents, siblings and hubby. it's so painful to say rip to u my dearest coursemate that year. God u know I can't question u is only u that knows what happened to Jane coz she's healthy and not sick...rip Jane. shedding tears like never before.omg

Report has it that a graduate of Ken Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic (Kenpoly) in Bori, Khana Local Government Area, Rivers State, has killed himself after being dumped by his girlfriend.

It was gathered that the deceased identified Charles Orji, a graduate of the department of Estate Management in the institution, killed himself following the heartbreak of breaking up with his lover.

According to reports by those who claim to know the deceased, he was hurriedly buried in his hometown due to the unfortunate nature of his death.

Few friends and family members reportedly graced the low-key funeral.

An innocent man who was sentenced to prison - regained his freedom after spending 24 years. The man identified as Olaide Olatunji narrated how he was wrongly arrested, falsely accused of conspiracy to commit murder and thrown in jail after the torture and beatings by the police.

The man who was condemned to death - narrated his story to Joint Legal Action Aids after his release from prison. Read below;

HOW IT STARTED.
I trained as a photographer but back in the 80s I didn’t have enough photography work to sustain me so I worked with my father who traded in cattle. My father was an old man so I joined him and I used to go to the bush to buy the animals. I was married with two sons....

That year, as the time for the Ileya Festival drew closer, we were going to supply some companies with cattle so I had to go and buy them from Niger state. He listed all the things that I was going to buy – cows, rams and goats. I left Lagos on the 30th of May, 1988 to Gwari in Niger state. I had to go inside the bush to select the animals I wanted so that I would get a trailer to convey them to Lagos.

THE ARREST.
Because of the language barrier, I needed an interpreter for the negotiations. We were in the bush when some policemen came and asked me if I was a visitor. I said yes, I was a visitor that I had been coming to the village for many years. The man said they were looking for people who ran into the bush.

I said I didn’t know anything about it that I was selecting rams there. Then they arrested me and took me to the police station even though the interpreter told them I had been coming to the village for some time.

The next day, the 1st of June, they said the case could not be handled at that station and it was transferred to the State CID at Niger. From there they transferred me to Ilorin in Kwara state. All the while, I never knew what they were accusing me of. After a week, some policemen came from Lagos, they said they were from the Anti-Terrorsist squad and they conveyed me and some people that were arrested with me to Lagos.

PAIN , TORTURE AND TRIAL
They took me to Adeniji Adele Police Station, Lagos. That was when they started giving me hell. They hung me, beat and tortured me. That was the day I knew they were accusing me of murder. They said somebody was killed in Lagos and his car was snatched and they later found the car around the village where I was in Gwari.

The policemen said the people fled into the bush that was why they were looking for visitors around that area. All the while I had no idea why I had been arrested. The confessional statement in my case file, they wrote it themselves and forced me to sign. After that they transferred me to Ikoyi Prison and that was where they resumed another round of torture.

I spent almost 9 months there before they took me to court with four other men. I didn’t even know those men. They charged us all for conspiracy to murder. My lawyer told me to plead ‘Not Guilty’ so I did and from there they took me to Kirikiri Medium Security Prison.

They put me in a condemned cell. It was hell on earth. They kept 9 of us in a very small room. That was where we took our bath, ate, slept, defecated and eased ourselves. There were no beds. Who would give us beds? By law, they don’t let any condemned man come out. But sometimes, they let us out for about one hour in a day. Life in the prison was very rough. There, I hardly slept. The prison authorities gave us food but not good food.

WIFE AND CHILDREN

As a young woman, if my wife was my sister, I would have even advised her to marry someone else because no one knew when I was going to come out. I won’t advice my sister to wait for a man who doesn’t have hope of coming out. She has married again and I don’t feel bad about it. My children used to come once in a while but they don’t really know me. Now that I am out, they will know me better.

THE CALL TO CHANGE AND GO HOME.

On the 5th of June 2012, they called me to come to the Welfare Unit to get the progress of my case. I said I wasn’t not going there. Some people that were sitting with me said I should go but I said I wasn’t going, that they will just be lying to me. Later I called Pastor Popoola. He said “Egbon” (Big brother), I said “wetin be dat” (what is it?). He said “o ti sele o” (It has happened). He said the court of Appeal has let me go. I just started shouting, I didn’t know what to do, how to thank him. I was very happy.

According to reports, a 300 level student of Linguistic Department in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka (UNIZIK), was found dead in front of commissioners quarters in the capital city of Anambra state.

This was revealed by the Students Union Government (SUG) vice president of the institution, Cynthia Uwah, who disclosed the female student identified as Pauline was found dead early this morning and has been taken to the mortuary by the chief security officer of the school.

The SUG VP has urged the students to exempt themselves from night movements and stay vigilant for their own safety.

A man is lucky to be alive after being attacked by a cutlass-wielding vigilante member in Sapele area of Delta state.

According to reports, the man identified as Oghenedoro who sells and repairs laptops, arrived from Lagos to Delta yesterday morning by 2am when he met the vigilante member in Sapele and identified himself when he was questioned.

It was revealed that Oghenedoro showed the security operative his bag when he was asked to open it as it had his suit and other clothes which he bought ahead of his wedding next week.

While waiting to board a motorcycle, the vigilante member used his cutlass to hack the victim in a bid to rob him of his properties.

The man fought back despite receiving deep cuts on his hand, head and other parts of his body before the attacker fled. The victim was rushed to the hospital where he was treated.

A group of hoodlums attacked and disfigured the face of a photographer identified as Mr. Matthew Eroutor, in Ogbia, the headquarters of Ogbia Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

It was gathered that the tragic incident occurred at night while the victim was having his bath outside, at his residence.

According to eye witness reports, Mr. Mathew was attacked by three masked hoodlums in the night and left him almost dead, before sympathizers took him to Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Yenagoa for treatment.

The victim is currently recuperating at the hospital even as his medical bills for his complete treatments have been paid by the Local Government Area Chairman.

Here are gruesome pictures of the causalities recorded after stepping on landmines reportedly planted by Boko Haram terrorists in Gwoza local government area of Borno State.

According to reports and a trending video posted online, the troops drove over the land mines around Warabe village barely fifteen kilometers away from Gwoza local government headquarters.

The vehicle, part of a convoy under military escort, veered off the road in an attempt to overtake another vehicle when it hit the device.

Military and civilian militia sources blamed Boko Haram jihadists for planting the mine, underlying the persistent threat to civilians in the remote region.
