This is really heartbreaking. In this picture are the wife and the child of Professor Pius Adesanmi, the Nigerian Canada based scholar who met his death in the ill-fated Ethiopian Airline that killed him and 156 others on Sunday, 10th of March, 2019.

Mrs. Adesanmi in the picture is seen breaking the news of her husband's death to their daughter, Tise, in Canada while suspending her own grief.

The aircraft, a Boeing 737 MAX 8 carrying 149 passengers and eight crew members, lost contact with air traffic controllers six minutes after taking off on its way to Nairobi, Kenya.

Adesanmi flew on a Canadian passport. He posed with the passport in the last picture he posted on Facebook on Saturday morning.

Armed attackers struck in Ungwan Barde, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State where recent attacks left dozens dead. The latest attack started on Saturday and continued on Sunday morning.

Several houses were also said to have been burnt in the attack.

It was gathered that the attack happened after the killing of a man identified as Danbuzu Nemi who was reportedly murdered on Saturday as he went to his farm after voting on Saturday.

This is the second time the community is coming under attack in less than one month.

The incident came weeks after at least 50 people were killed and homes burnt in the village in what appeared to be a reprisal attack following earlier incidents in the area.

A scorned wife was left heartbroken after allegedly catching her husband with his young lover.

In a video recorded by the woman who hails from Edo state, she revealed that she had been suspecting her husband identified as Pedro - of cheating on her with the lady before finally catching them together in what looked like a hotel.

The wife vented her anger on the lady by shouting on her as she said she won't do anything to her ( the side chick) because it was her husband who can't control himself that wooed her and she agreed.

Internet users have reacted to the development with some criticizing the side chick for having an affair with a married man while others said the wife should leave the lady alone and control her cheating husband.

A man was found dead during the voting exercise yesterday in Sapele, area of Delta state.

According to the residents, they found the man laying unconscious beside a shop at Okirigbaga area as to one knows what led to the cause of his death.

It was gathered that the corpse of the elderly man - has been in the area since yesterday when it was discovered.

The residents are calling on the authorities to do the needful and evacuate the corpse before it starts decomposing.

Following the cult war between Black Axxe, popularly called Aiye, and their Eiye rivals which happened few weeks ago in Benin city, Edo state., the police has apprehended a notorious cultist.

The suspect who was nabbed with a locally made rifle and some drugs, was accused of killing an undergraduate identified as John Terry (a suspected Eiye cultist) who was murdered along Upper Uwa Street off M.M Way Bénin City.

It was reported that the deceased was engaged as polling agent to one of the political parties in the February 16th postponed general elections.

Eyewitnesses said Terry was beaten to death with rods and sticks by his assailants.

The suspect confessed to killing other victims including a warder in time past but vehemently denied killing John Terry whom he said was murdered by his friend Sunday.

A man identified as Mr. Raymond Ledogo Niabari, was allegedly shot by Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives reportedly led by the Commander F-SARS, Akin Fakarode, earlier today in Rivers state.

It was gathered that the victim, an INEC technical support Ad-hoc staff was shot when the SARS men stormed the collation center at Bori in Khana local government area of the state.

He was rushed to the hospital after being hit during sporadic shooting by the SARS men and is currently receiving treatment as at the time of filing this report..

Many others were said to have been harassed and injured during the invasion by the security operatives.

There was commotion as a police officer was arrested by security operatives in Ajaka, Igbalamela Odolu Local Government Area of Kogi state.

According to reports, the police officer identified as Ede Ijamu was allegedly hired by a politician to carryout illegal duties alongside some thugs during the elections. They were allegedly nabbed while trying to attack a lawmaker, according to reports.

The community youths in collaboration with security agents - apprehended the police officer who was beaten mercilessly.

Items recovered from him include AK-47 rifle with 3 loaded magazine, fake IGP FHQ jacket and cap, identity card and a key to a hotel where he allegedly lodged with the thugs.

It has been gathered that about 20,000 Nigerian victims of sex trade are trapped in Mali as the government is struggling to bring them back home. Officials say collusion between law enforcement agents and traffickers is hampering the rescue efforts.

A video posted online revealed that thousands of the victims were kept in chattered shacks located at the outskirt of Kokoyo in western Mali.

Many girls said the human traffickers had promised them good lives with well paid jobs in Europe but found themselves trapped in Mali for sex trade.

Ranging from fourteen years old upward, the girls said they were forced to sleep with ten men per day. Some of them as young as 14 years were practically yanked off the street of Nigeria in their school uniforms, according to Aljazeerah.

A sixteen-year-old teenage mother, also a victim, related that she came to Mali through the Benin Republic. She had been promised by her trafficker a good househelp job in the Europe where she would make a lot from her trafficker but that was reversed immediately she stepped out of Nigeria, as the trafficker turned her to a sex slave. The 16-year-old girl now has a baby.

The traffickers in Kokoyo town of Mali made it clear that Nigerians trying to rescue their citizens trapped in the sex trade are “unwelcome”.

Here are pictures from the house of former ex-militant leader, Ateke Tom, which was allegedly invaded by soldiers in Okochiri, Okirika local government area of Rivers State.

According to reports, the men in military uniforms broke into the palace and ransacked the building.

This is coming days to the governorship and state house of assembly elections slated for Saturday.

Tom Ateke, embraced amnesty in 2008 alongside his fighters.

Reports filtering in from Port-Harcourt, Rivers state capital - have it that the residents have been gripped with fear and anxiety over the growing military presence in the region.

Masked gun-wielding soldiers (armed to the teeth), have been patrolling the metropolis for some days now in a show of force ahead of the governorship election on Saturday, March 9th.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers - has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) of trying to militarize the state in order to 'easily manipulate the outcome of the governorship election to their favour'.

The latest show of force which happened today - is coming days after soldiers were caught on camera while raiding some night clubs/joints in Port-Harcourt during their patrol.

A 32-year-old woman living in the suburb of Mushin in Lagos state, has narrated how her life was a living hell due to a medical condition.

According to the woman, her big stomach plagued her for over 5 years, without knowing she had fibroid.

She revealed that everyone in her area calls her 'Iya Ibeji no boy friend' (a woman pregnant with twins) and she thought there was a spiritual problem in their family due to the fact that her elder sister had the same fibroid.

The woman underwent surgery to correct the medical condition as the massive fibroid was removed.

A Nigerian woman who was allegedly brutalized and injured by her husband, has come under heavy criticisms from fellow citizens after revealing she still deeply loves him despite her condition.

According to reports, the woman was seriously wounded and left with bloodied eyes after the attack which saw her rejected by a hospital.

It was gathered that when human rights activists wanted to intervene on her behalf to make the husband pay for his action, she said she still loves him.

Internet users have given their various opinions on the issue - with many urging the woman to leave the marriage or look for a better solution before ending up dead.

A young girl narrowly escaped death after being attacked by armed robbers yesterday in Zamfara state.

According to reports, the girl was shot by the gunmen during the course of a robbery operation in Gusau, the state capital.

Despite the shots fired and the injury sustained, the young girl managed to escape and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

It was gathered that the girl's miraculous survival left her family and doctors shocked considering that the girl would have died under "normal circumstance".

According to an online report, a man was brutally attacked after he allegedly caught his wife having sex with her lover.

It was gathered that the victim allegedly caught his wife romping another man in their bedroom before he was overpowered and stabbed.

It was also revealed that the man almost died after the attack and had to go to four different hospitals.

It is feared that the man might have kidney failure after it was damaged in the course of the attack.

The victim is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

Directorate of Criminal Investigations - DCI Detectives based at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Kenya, yesterday arrested Princess Okoye, a Nigerian national, with 77 Pellets of suspected narcotics.

The 25-year -old lady had concealed the drugs in plastic bottles containing milk.

Upon being placed under observation, she emitted an additional 15 Pellets which she had swallowed.

The drug trafficker was intercepted as she prepared to board a plane to Italy.

She remains under observation as investigations continue.
