A fatal accident which happened earlier today in Edo state, saw some passengers dead and others badly injured after the crash between multiple vehicles.

The accident occured along Agbede/Egono road on Auchi /Benin Express way, Agbede, Etsako West local government area of Edo State.

Other passengers who survived the fatal accident - were burnt and rushed to the hospital by men of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).

A man state was pictured stark unclad while performing some spiritual rites in a river in Bayelsa state.

The young man who is a member of an Ijaw religious group known as the Order of Egbesu Brotherhood (OEB), used chicken and some other traditional items as he prayed in the river.

He took to social media to share pictures of himself during the spiritual performance to show he's a strong believer.

Egbesu is the god or deity of warfare of the Ijaw people of the Niger Delta region, and Egbesu is the spiritual foundation for combating evil.

There was jubilation in the Muslim community in Kano state after welcoming a new and foreign convert. A Chinese man simply identified as Mr. Leo converted to Islam from Christianity earlier today.

After the conversion, he was given a Muslim name, Aliyu - to his delight and that of others.

Last year, a Chinese man converted to Islam in order to wed his young Muslim Nigerian lady in Plateau state.

The Chinese man came to Nigeria with a close family member for the wedding, accepted Islam and changed his name to Samir before getting married to his partner.

The Nigerian police force has been accused of murdering an elderly man in Delta state. It was gathered that the deceased was the father of a 15-year-old boy identified as Bright who was butchered by assailants two years ago but survived.

According to a report, in 2017, the Behind Bars Initiave (BBI) got justice for Bright by making sure the "untouchable" men who attacked him were all re-arrested after they were released by the Police.

Bright's father, Mr. Sunday was later arrested and detained over alleged kidnapping.

Today, it was learnt from Bright that his father was allegedly killed in police custody. He was taken away and allegedly shot dead.

An appeal has been made to Nigeria Police Force , Delta State Police Command to look into the issue.

Four suspected ritualists are in custody for allegedly killing a 12-year-old hawker in Kwara state. The suspects named Salawudeen Azeez 18, Ismail Suleiman 19, Abdul Rafiu Aina 35 and Ibrahim Jimoh, recently killed the teenage hawker identified as Habbah Adamu in Bala village, Kwara.

According to reports, the suspects had met a herbalist who gave them instruction to get a little girl's heart, intestine and other body parts to boost their internet scam business (Yahoo).

Two days later, while laying ambush in a bush path, the little Habbah came hawking Awara (cheese). They overpowered and strangled her then used a knife to cut her belly open and removed her intestine and heart.

After the murder, they dispersed to different locations and were waiting for results of the ritual when detectives arrested them in Akure and Lagos State.

A family would have been thrown into lament after a python invaded a residential building in a community in Enugu state. The snake was killed before it could render any havoc.

According to an online report, the huge reptile crept into a bedroom through the window, sparking commotion and panic among the house occupants.

The neighbours mobilised themselves after an alarm was raised as they descended on the python and killed it in the process.

The family displayed the snake in the open after it was killed.

According to developing reports, a Nigerian man tried to commit suicide in Italy and had to be restrained by police officers.

The shocking incident reportedly happened on Friday morning in Genova Pegli train station. Information gathered online reveals that another Nigerian tried to kill himself previously in Italy but was unsuccessful .

The reason for the latest suicide attempt is yet to be ascertained as the Nigerian man has been taken into custody after being overpowered by officers.

A woman has permanently lost her eye in an attack after the just concluded election in Kano state.

According to reports, the victim lost one of her eyes on Monday, 25/3/2019 after the results of Saturday, 23/3/2019 supplementary election in Kano were announced and saw governor Umar Ganduje of APC emerge as the winner.

It was gathered that some political thugs loyal to a House of Reps member representing them in the State House of Assembly, allegedly attacked the victim's house in Fagge Local Government Area of Kano State, because of political affiliation with senator Rabiu Musa kwankwaso.

The extra-ordinary kindness of Ahmed Musa, the stand -in- captain of the Super Eagles team - is still the talk of the town in Asaba, Delta state, after he surprised a woman, who came in search of a menial job of N3,000.

It was gathered that after training, Ahmed Musa spotted a 3-year-old boy with his mother who was said to have come to the stadium in search of a cleaning job for the one week (March 22 – March 26) the team would be in Asaba and the pay is said to be about N3,000 per day.

Immediately Ahmed Musa saw the kid, he picked him up and played with him before taking him into the team bus. After some minutes, he beckoned on the boy's mother to come as he reportedly interacted with her and collected her details.

Moments later, the woman received a text message and screamed which attracted the people around. She got a credit alert of N250,000 from Musa while she was expecting to be paid N3,000 for the menial job.

The attention of the authorities has been called to an uncompleted gutter which has been abandoned in Sapele area of Delta state, following an incident which happened yesterday.

It was gathered that a girl simply identified as Progress who was returning from lesson - fell into the uncompleted gutter and was injured very close to her private part after landing on one of the iron rods.

The girl was rushed to the hospital where she is recovering from the injury.

The residents are calling on the appropriate authorites to look into the issue since the gutter has been left open/abandoned for months now and also to prevent this kind of incident.

Congratulations are in order for the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (Unizik) in Awka, Anambra state, who welcomed a set of quadruplets with wife after years of marriage.

According to reports, professor Charles Esimone and his wife had their first son in 2015, after 12 years of barrenness. The couple were over the moon following the miraculous delivery at that time which surprised the family and other well wishers.

Four years after the miraculous delivery, the Deeper Life campus pastor and his wife welcomed four babies (two boys and two girls) on Tuesday, March 26th (yesterday).

Congratulations to the couple once again.

Two young boys have landed themselves in trouble after there were caught burgling a victim's house. According to reports, the boys were said to have been terrorizing victims by breaking into their houses to steal when the occupants are not around.

The underage suspects were caught after sneaking into a house through the window despite having burglary proof as they stole phones and other valuables.

The boys who were remorseful of their criminal action, burst into tears after being caught and handcuffed. While some Nigerians have criticized the way the boys were handcuffed due to their age, others have said it serves them right because they need to learn that crime has consequences to avoid getting worse in the future.

The young boys also displayed how they broke into their latest victim's house through the "secured" window in a video recorded by Ben Sunday.

Earlier today, the Anambra State Police Command paraded three suspects (a man and two women) over the viral video of a woman who was stripped naked and was beaten severally.

The suspects paraded include; Mr Ifeanyi Azotani, 40 year old artisan, the wife, Tochukwu, 43 and her niece, Ogochukwu Nwankwo, 33.

One of the suspects who was interrogated by journalists, Ogochukwu Nwankwo (the niece), said she was about going out when she received a call from Tochukwu Azotani beckoning her to come to the house because she found out that her husband has been sleeping around.

She said when she went there she remembered how her ex-husband took her son to stay his with his girlfriend and this provoked her. She said this was what made her angry to flog the alleged mistress mercilessly and humiliate her.

The wife, Tochukwu Azotani, said that she saw a chat between her husband and his mistress on his phone the second time after they had previously met in the hotel, that was why she decided to lure the lady to the house (with the help of the husband) and disgrace her. She claimed she didn't know that the action meted out on the lady would go far like that.

Meanwhile, the victim of the assault, who is a widow and a mother of one, said that her career has been killed both in Nigeria and outside the country following the viral nude video and she does not want to be compensated. She revealed that why she was being tortured, the man, Ifeanyi Azotani who invited her to the house - was there looking and did nothing to save her.

Men of the Rivers state police command have apprehended three suspects responsible for the gruesome killing of a taxi driver.

It was gathered the hoodlums lured the taxi driver by boarding his vehicle, before taking him into the bush where he was killed and buried in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State. This was done so that they could steal his car.

Recently, men of the anti-cultism unit of the Rivers State police command - on a routine patrol around the East West road accosted and arrested a van towing a Toyota Corolla to a supposed selling point which led to the arrest of the three killers of the taxi driver reported missing since September last year.

Upon interrogation, the men confessed to have taken the taxi on a drop to their community, stopped by the bush beat the driver half dead & buried him alive.

An agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), lost his hand following the widespread violence and unchecked intimidation of voters during Saturday’s supplementary governorship election in Kano state.

It was gathered that the agent was attacked by thugs and had his hand cut off for reportedly supporting the opposition party. He was rushed to the hospital where he is recovering from the injury sustained.

Meanwhile, violence erupted in Kano as can be seen in the videos below, following the declaration of incumbent governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as winner of the governorship election in Kano State, thereby returning him for a second term in office.

Aggrieved people turned out in large numbers and were desperate to force their way into the state INEC office, but for the timely intervention of the police, who had also positioned themselves in some places around the state INEC office.
