A wild boar was killed by some group of hunters on Sunday, 7th April, 2019. According to reports, the hunters tracked down the wild pig and killed it at Rounder area of Abeokuta, Ogun State.

After the kill, the hunters displayed the slain animal in public as residents gathered in their numbers to catch a glimpse of it.

Earlier today, armed robbers raided a commercial bank in Idoani, Ose local government area of Ondo State.

It was gathered that the robbers stormed the area around 2pm shooting sporadically as they blew open the bank's security door with dynamite.

During the operations that lasted for about 1 hour, some victims including bankers, a police Inspector and about 2 ATM customers were allegedly shot dead.

According to eyewitnesses, some of the gunmen escaped with an unspecified amount of money before the arrival of men of the Nigerian Army.

Luck however ran out on one of them as he was caught by the vigilant soldiers.

Report has it that a Nigerian woman simply identified as Joy has been declared wanted over alleged human trafficking and prostitution.

According to journalist Sapele Oghenek, the suspect has been responsible for trafficking girls in Delta state and other parts of the country after promising to take them to Europe to work.

It was gathered that some of her latest victims were allegedly trafficked from Nigeria and dumped in Abidjan, Ivory Coast while exploiting them to make money.

She has been declared wanted as her pictures have been circulated around various media houses including Newspapers in a bid to apprehend her and make her pay for her crimes.

A young lady was caught after allegedly stealing valuables from a birthday party she was invited to in Benin city, Edo state. It was gathered that the suspect named Aisha, allegedly stole phones, wigs, wristwatches among other items and allegedly hacked an account via mobile phone where she withdrew about N180,000.

According to Marian, after the theft, Aisha left the hotel where the party was held and fled to Warri in Delta state. She was tracked down and the stolen items found in her posession.

Eight lives were claimed on Saturday night at Mgbuodohia village of Rumuolumeni Community in Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State, following a clash between two rival cult groups in the community.

It was gathered that the clash between the two rival cult groups (Iceland and Degbam confraternities), also left several members of the two groups with life threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, reports have it that residents have begun fleeing the area following the brutal killings. According to the residents, they are scared that there might be reprisal attacks by the warring cult groups which will lead to the deaths of many more people.

Some dogs were killed after being involved in a motor accident earlier today in Cross River state.

According to reports, the supplier of the dogs blamed the bus driver for over-speeding and said that the dogs were meant for delivery in Calabar South before the incident.

The accident which happened along Atimbo road in Calabar, the state capital, caused a traffic gridlock as the corpses of the dead dogs were evacuated from the road.

The South African police are seeking the assistance of the public in locating two Nigerians identified as Emanuel Ifeyalyi Onyekanna (27), and Chukwuemeka Kingsley Ezenwa (34), with alleged links to an on-going drug dealing investigation.

A warrant of arrest was issued against Onyekanna and Ezenwa (pictures attached) known by aliases ‘50 cent’ and ‘Alex’ respectively in August 2016, after police investigations have linked them to an alleged drug syndicate that operated in South Africa and Neighbouring countries.

Gallant policemen have been hailed for repelling a group of kidnappers and killing three of them in the process.

It was gathered that the policemen scuttled an attempt in the early hours of Wednesday by criminals to abduct some expatriates (staff of a construction company in Kaduna) before they were engaged in a fierce shootout.

Three AK 47 rifles and six magazines were also recovered.

Meanwhile, the governor of Kaduna State, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, praised the police action, and urged security agencies to intensify necessary measures to secure the state and enhance citizen confidence.

A Nigerian man belived to be a member of the Eiye confraternity has been arrested by the authorities in Treviso area of Italy.

The 34-year-old suspected gang leader who has an Italian residence permit - was arrested along with some of his gang following investigations into criminal activities ranging from prostitution, human and trafficking among other vices.

It was learnt that an investigation into the gang's activity in the area - was launched after a young Nigerian girl said to be a victim of sex trafficking - exposed the suspects to the police.

Also, several violent attacks have been recorded by the group in order to stamp their authority in the region.

Last year, security operatives arrested a group of Nigerian cultists believed to be part of a drug and criminal syndicate near Cagliari area of Italy.

Drugs, money and other items including their cult materials were recovered from the suspects’ houses after a search operation was conducted by the officers.

A 17-year-old girl named Ochanya Samson from Benue state, has been left seriously injured after being molested and assaulted by a man in Abuja.

According to Bakia T Thomas, the teenage girl has gone through prostitution and rape in a bid to survive after it was claimed that her baby which she had at 15, was allegedly sold by her uncles for N500,000.

I need urgent advice please. We met Ochanya Samson yesterday evening, 17years of age from Benue State. Seriously molested by a man who called on her and she refused to go, she almost lost an eye. Now we were together with Godsent M. Sadoh when we saw her entering the hospital.

An orphan with no mother and father, her uncles drove her away because of her character, that version of the story was told to us after I got her treated yesterday.

Now she lives with a woman who has also decided to send her away because she is scared of Ochanya's uncles. This girl has gone through rape, eventually had to go into prostitution just to survive and just when she made up her mind to quit, this happened to her.

Ochanya had a baby when she was 15 and her uncles who threw her away took her to Aba and sold the baby for 500,000naira and took the money from her. Returning to Abuja, they got a house, same house they live now and they sent Ochanya away.

A Nigerian soldier identified as Obi Peter Onuoha, has cried out for help over his predicament which has left him in serious pains for years now.

According to the soldier who was wounded while fighting for the country, he was shot by Boko Haram terrorists in Maiduguri, Borno state on 25th of January, 2015 and was admitted till December 2018 when he was forced to visit his unit from Kaduna military hospital. He was told to come back when an approval of funds for his further treatment is made.

On his way back, the soldier was involved in a fatal accident which he narrowly survived after the vehicle he was travelling in - sommersaulted multiple times.

He revealed how his condition has made people to abandon him and even some dignitaries tried to help him and approve funds for his treatment but all to no avail.

The soldier who said he's young and the burden on him is too much, wants the military and other authorities to look into his issue and come to his aid.

Earlier today, the Nigeria Police Force said it has apprehended officers of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) who killed Kolade Johnson. Johnson was shot dead by operatives of the Anti-Cultism Squad at Mangoro area of Lagos State.

The suspects have been identified as as Inspector Olalekan Ogunyemi and Sergeant Godwin Orji both attached to the Anti-Cultism Squad.

A young man has taken to Facebook to reveal what one of the arrested officers, Inspector Ogunyemi Olalekan (known as Omo Eko), did to him.

He claimed he was arrested by the officer and made to lay on the ground over his hairstyle.

Gunmen attacked travellers along Abuja-Kaduna highway on Monday evening. According to reports, some motorists were allegedly kidnapped by the gunmen who brought the expressway to a standstill.

The attackers also robbed travellers of their possessions after forcibly stopping vehicles at high speed, causing several crashes in the process.

The Nigerian Army later responded to emergency by dispatching about three truckloads of soldiers, according to Yakubu Mohammed, who witnessed the incident.

It was claimed that the kidnappers operated for about 30 minutes on the highway without intervention of security agents.

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi state, has lost his life following a fire outbreak on Sunday, March 31st, in Birnin Kebbi.

The deceased identified as Alhaji Faruku Umar Dan tabuzuwa and his wife Hajiya Nasara Faruku, the executive secretary primary school pension Board, were burnt to death in the inferno at their residence.

The couple have been laid to rest, according to Islamic rites.

A notorious kidnapper has been apprehended by security operatives in Imo state. The suspect who is currently in custody, confessed to the police how his gang members led by a man identified as Ability - abducted and killed their victims.

In a video which was posted online, the arrested kidnapper who admitted to the abduction of several people including the mother of a Nigerian foreign based footballer - revealed that some of the victims paid about 2 to 3 million naira to regain their freedom.

The suspect claimed his gang has killed three persons in the course of their operations. According to him, the victims were a man who returned from South Africa, a man who returned from Brazil and a lady. He said the victims refused to pay ransom and were killed by their leader.

He also revealed that when they complained to their leader that the killings were becoming too much, he told them that he does not have mercy for the victims because if he is caught, he will be killed.
