A young lady who decided to get high on drugs - was tied up in public for constituting public nuisance. According to Facebook user James Adesina who shared the report, the lady who acted under the influence of drugs, was tied up by some security guards in the area after going on rampage by damaging some properties. In a viral video posted online, the yet-to-be identified lady can be seen laughing and making some gestures (with her friends at the background) while being talked to by the guards who tied her up. It was revealed that the lady was left outside for quite some time to get herself before she was released. Emmanuel Ike Nwaobosi, the special assistant on Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) to governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state, was arrested during the presidential and national assembly elections on Saturday. According to reports, the suspect who is the son of prominent figure in Anambra and the governor's friend, Ike Nwaobosi, was among the political thugs caught yesterday allegedly trying to snatch ballot boxes at a polling unit in Obosi area of the state. They met their Waterloo when some brave youths and policemen ran after them. According to reports, the politician's son is based in Toronto, Canada and returned to the country for the election. Series of violence rocked the presidential and national assembly elections held in some parts of Rivers state. This is the moment some National Youth Service Corps members working as ad hoc staff and officials Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), scampered into nearby bush for safety after thugs invaded their polling unit withing the state. A female corp member broke down in tears while hiding as she was consoled by her colleague. Pandemonium broke out moments ago in Amukoko, Ajeromi Ifelodun local government area of Lagos State, after thugs stormed a polling unit to disrupt the ongoing presidential and national assembly elections. According to Emmanuella Okoye who reported the incident, hoodlums stormed the polling unit in with bikes and tricycles (Keke Napep) while carrying metals, sticks and other weapons. A fight broke out at the polling unit ( In Ward 11, Unit 22) of former president Olusegun Obasanjo in Ogun state. The clash occurred between political thugs who struggled for the money that was shared there. Meanwhile, Obasanjo has exercised his franchise by casting his vote at Unit 22, Ward 11, Olusomi, Sokori, Abeokuta, Ogun State. This is the moment a police officer was apprehended while aiding some alleged thugs to paint a fake Police patrol vehicle for use by politicians in Saturday’s elections in Akwa Ibom state. The police inspector was reportedly arrested in Ewet Housing Estate, Uyo, the state capital. It was learnt that two of the vehicles, which was one of the types procured by the state government for the Command of the Nigeria Police Force, were brand new cars ostensibly bought for the purpose of aiding electoral fraud. According to reports, the Police intercepted the thugs and the policeman at the hotel while they were branding the vehicles. The vehicles were later towed to the state police command. According to multiple reports, a group of unidentified gunmen stormed the streets of Owerri, Imo State state capital earlier today, causing panic among residents. In a trending video posted online, the men who wore read and black attire, were seen walking on the streets boldly with weapons while shooting sporadically in the air. Some internet users have alleged that the gunmen might be cultists or political thugs while others have argued that they may be local security agents considering how they took over the streets in broad daylight. According to multiple reports, the convoy of a former governor of Kano State and leader of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the state, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has been attacked in Kofa village in Bebeji Local Government Area of Kano State. It was gathered that an unspecified number of party supporters from both camps died, while several others sustained various degrees of injury. Mr Kwankwaso had planned his final rally alongside the PDP governorship candidate, Abba Yusuf, to be held at Kiru and Bebeji on Thursday but the long motorcade of the party leader was denied passage through Kofa village. Another life has been claimed in the ongoing cult war between , popularly called Aiye, and their Eiye rivals in Benin city, Edo state. It was learnt that the gang clash has resulted in the killing of no fewer than eight persons in the last three days. The most recent being the killing of a young man, popularly called Africa, yesterday morning at Aifuwa Junction along Upper Sokponba Road in Benin City. He was hacked to death when bullets fired at him did not penetrate his body. His corpse was deposited at the Central Hospital morgue in Benin City. A promising Nigerian soldier who got married less than three months ago, has been killed by rampaging members of the Boko Haram sect in the northeastern part of the country. The deceased soldier identified as John Moses from Benin in Edo state, tied the nuptial knot to his wife late last year (November) in a ceremony which was well attended by family, friends and colleagues. This is not the first time newlywed Nigerian soldiers are being killed at the battlefield. Last year, a soldier identified as Garba Adam, was killed by Boko Haram insurgents barely a year after his wedding and 2 months after welcoming his first child. The Nigerian lady who attacked her friend for sleeping with her husband, has been remanded in prison after being arraigned in a court in Owerri, Imo state, earlier today. . Last month, the suspect identified as Ngozi Akakem physically attacked her friend named Nkiru over allegations of having sexual relations with her husband. Nkiru was beaten mercilessly by Ngozi who also stripped her naked and filmed the embarrassing incident which went viral online. According to reports, Ngozi came to Nkiru's house with thugs and humiliated the victim at gunpoint and allegedly tried blackmailing her to pay to deter the release of the video. Unfortunately, the video of the attack revealing Nkiru's nudity was released and social media went agog. This sparked a media outrage which led to the #JusticeforNkiru movement and ultimately the prosecution of Ngozi Akakem in the court of law where she was slammed with 10 count charges. According to Dorothy Njemanze, the court has granted Ngozi bail to the tune of one million Naira and must get a level 16 officer to surety her as the matter has been adjourned to 28th of March, 2019. A young musician is lucky to be alive after he was attacked by unknown hoodlums on Sunday, February 17th (yesterday). It was gathered that Abba Ajasun Waka, a well known Hausa musician for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Jigawa state, was stabbed multiple times by political thugs a day after he released his latest song titled "Sati Daya Yazo Ya Wuce", over the postponement of elections by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The young man was rushed to the hospital and is said to be responding to treatment.
