Computer Market / Re: Pos/bet9ja Bluetooth Printer by PrettyMuchNoOne: 7:07pm On Jul 11, 2020 |
Ofure111: iPhones don’t really do stuff with Bluetooth - that’s why you can’t transfer stuff to them over it. You need to look for an AirPrint-compatible one. Most of them have it somewhere in their settings. |

IBvoss: In no particular order: Layer one - VPN as you said (to encrypt your data). Layer two - A sensible OS (preferably Linux-based e.g. Kali or even Ubuntu, macOS if you want to be like that) - anything is better than Windows, Android, and Chrome OS. Layer three - Lots of disposable phone numbers, email addresses and the likes to conceal your identity. Layer four - Your actual hardware - Computers with USBkill installed to wipe the drive when you’re eventually apprehended, iPhones with the ten-failed-passcode security thing. Layer five - A specialised mining rig that can function as your Bitcoin wallet, with at least 10 different addresses supplemented by numerous unlinked bank accounts(preferably in multiple countries). Also and avenue for moving the money around those addresses using ACTUAL cash - not through the blockchain. Layer six - A good browser and e-mail provider. Use only established privacy-focused browser, such as Firefox, if and only if you are sure that your network holes have been properly plugged in. Layer seven - Remote backups. Only use backup sites that are created by yourself (not even your associates). Avoid iCloud Drive (because even though your iPhone is encrypted, your Drive data isn’t), Google Drive (we all know how Google is nah) and the likes. Layer seven - Secured communication system - Don’t use mainstream email providers with little or no security, use bitches like ProtonMail (the morons encrypt their mail in servers below freaking solid rock - I think like a mile or so) or any other one that properly encrypts your data that not even them can read it. Layer eight - Don’t trust America. The best place to get all these VPNs and email stuff is Switzerland. They have the strongest privacy laws in the world. But of course, use your Google Search for your normal dealings so as not to appear suspicious. Layer eight - In fact, trust no one. After you’ve made your cash, don’t pull a Hushpuppi and start blowing on social media so that you won’t draw attention. And try to assume that everything is bugged. That your friend, he might be an EFCC agent or worse. And remember, you’ll eventually get caught. These aren’t fraudster-specific stuff, they’re just some measures that we should all take when handling sensitive info. There’s a lot more than what I’ve outlined up there - Tor, privacy-centric computers, not clicking random links on websites, moving cash securely, deleting browser history etc. Go and do your own research before becoming a fraudster. The thing is that if you take your time to secure yourself, they can’t catch you. It’s just like Aech in Ready Player One. BTW, no I don’t support the practice of stealing people’s money, even because of a shitty government 2 Likes 1 Share |

chukemmang: Ever heard of how a VPN works? From Comparitech - https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn-privacy/best-vpn-to-stop-isp-from-tracking-internet-activity/ "A VPN encrypts all of a device’s internet traffic and routes it through an intermediary server in a location of the user’s choosing. While the VPN is connected, your ISP cannot see what websites you visit, what apps you use, or the contents of anything you send or receive over the web. Nor can the ISP inject advertisements or other online content into your browser." There's a reason these kind of services exist. |
TV/Movies / Dstv Owner, Multichoice Creates New Streaming Service by PrettyMuchNoOne: 3:34am On Jul 10, 2020 |
With the impending doom brought forth by the continuous movements of traditional subscribers to web-based solutions such as Netflix and Amazon's Prime Video, Multichoice, the SA-based company, has consistently tried to grow its current user base; with current data as of the ending of 2019 showing that the television provider is struggling to break even. Now it has launched a new addition to its popular streaming service, Showmax. Dubbed Showmax Plus, it combines the best entertainment found on the lower tier such as popular shows like Mercy & Ike, with their Supersport and news services - including the English Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, FA Cup, MotoGP, Dakar Rally, NASCAR Cup, ATP and WTA Tours and more events previously only found on its decider-based product, DStv. The product is aimed towards people who want to enjoy live sport and entertainment on the go, without shelling out the cash for a decoder. This is as compared to their other web-based service - DStv Now - which is only accessible if you currently have a decoder. The two services will likely exist side-by-side, similar to how UK-based provider, Sky, operates. The move comes amidst the #Dstvmustfall campaign on Twitter and mounting pressure by the Nigerian government to switch over to a Pay-as-you-go model of pricing, which would probably result in losses for the company. THISDAY also reported that they are considering not renewing their EPL and UEFA Champions League broadcast licenses for the 2022/23 season. This would be considered by many to be a bad move, as Amazon already owns the rights to a few EPL matches in United Kingdom (along BT Sports and Sky), and will likely not hesitate to fill in the void left behind. Also, Netflix reportedly set apart $8 billion to invest in Africa as part of its efforts to become a household name on the continent. The service is available to viewers in Nigeria and Kenya from July 7 at the price of ₦6300 or KSh 2100 for the full plan and ₦3200 or KSh 1050 for the mobile-only plan per month. The service is expected to roll out to South Afria in six to eight weeks. Comparions: Showmax - ₦2900 or ₦1450 (mobile-only) per month. Showmax Pro - ₦6300 or ₦3200 (mobile-only) per month. Netflix - ₦2900 per month. Amazon Prime Video - $5.99 (₦2695.50 at current rates) per month. Crime / Re: The FBI can actually hack into Hush Puppi’s or anyone else’s Bitcoin Wallets by PrettyMuchNoOne: 2:39am On Jul 10, 2020 |
The problem with bitcoin is that anyone can see what you’re doing. So if you do phishing and tell a business to transact to your bitcoin address and then you transfer it from there to somewhere else, any Dick and Harry with an internet connection can see it. The right (better actually, seeing that it’s ethically wrong anyway) thing to do would have been to divert the funds to some random bank account, collect the actual cash, split it up, deposit different portions of the cash into unrelated accounts, and then slowly fund the final bitcoin wallet — virtually undetectable) Of course, all that wouldn’t make any sense if you used the same computer, so it’d have been even better if you transferred the cash to another country, and deposited it from a VPN over Tor in a VM in another VM - and then delete both VMs immediately with military grade techniques. Just sayin’ 1 Like |

Crispels: Maybe he kept the passphrase in his computer? Plus on Wikipedia they said they tracked through his trails not by sitting and brute forcing his computer. Once they’ve convicted you, finding out where you stored your passphrase is significantly easier ( that’s why cold storage is the best-non electronically) |

Crispels:I knew that they unlocked it eventually So it’s after begging that they now went to go and try for themselves? Imagine somebody is now using the latest one? Plus Bitcoin addresses don’t have locations in themselves nah- unless your wallet guys track it (one of the reasons for them to have set up their own wallet with Tor and a good VPN) All those US VPNs, yes they can snitch on you. That’s why you’re supposed to used one based in Switzerland ( especially one with a no log policy - even if they asked them what you were doing, they don’t keep records) Anyhow I agree with you in that Nigerians don’t even bother to secure themselves - you’ll see some of them doing fraud with their MTN line connected to internet with Google Chrome (They wouldn’t even turn on incognito mode) But imo if you take time they wouldn’t catch you (st least you’ll give them a hard time) And to all the aspiring scammers out there don’t do it ohhh (But if you want at least use a Linux VM please- put some effort into it) 4 Likes |

Hedonisco: Regular WhatsApp is end to end encrypted( nobody can look at what you’re sending and understand). However, the backups in iCloud of Google Drive i.e. the transcript, is unencrypted. So they might have accessed those ones. Also, the fact that the messages are encrypted in transit doesn’t mean that one malware on your phone might not be able to read it |

Solatium: 1. If they were using a VPN(especially one of those ones that doesn’t keep any records) then the internet history is gone. 2. If they just wiped it normally, then MAYBE some stuff can be recovered. 3. But if they encrypted it before they wiped it, that means the data would have been scrambled so even if they bother to scam the drives and find something - it will be meaningless ( and decrypting it would take an unreasonable amount of time) The only thing is that, being Nigerians, they probably wouldn’t have taken these precautions (as is evident by the fact that Hushpuppi was flaunting anyhow on Instagram) but as you’re defrauding those kind of amounts |
