Computer Market / Re: Pos/bet9ja Bluetooth Printer by PrettyMuchNoOne: 7:07pm On Jul 11, 2020

Good afternoon all. Please I am a paga agent and I use an iPhone.i went to computer village to get a Bluetooth printer but there was a problem in searching for the Bluetooth with my iPhone but other android phones easily searched and paired. Please can anybody help me out with a solution because I really need the Bluetooth printer for my work.Thank you all and God bless you

iPhones don’t really do stuff with Bluetooth - that’s why you can’t transfer stuff to them over it. You need to look for an AirPrint-compatible one. Most of them have it somewhere in their settings.

Some good points. Also, want to note that wiping your drives are useless as they can be easily recovered by data recovery tools. Getting rid of the drive is the best solution in an emergency situation.

We should really just apply more care in anything that requires the transfer of data. Most of these data are always stored. Even deleting doesn't help.

Though for the large majority of the public, this data would likely never be seen by a third party. But if you ever find yourself in an unfortunate situation, you'd be shocked when you see tons of information you thought to be private being exposed before your very eye.

Lol
You’ve not seen some wiping before that’s why.

VPNs are only used to mask your location identity and shield your activities from your ISP. It is just one layer of private security but if you think that's enough to hide your identity when conducting illegal activities, you're a big fool.

A lot of things can give out your easily uncover your online ID such as browsing fingerprint, trackers, malware, and so on.

In no particular order:
Layer one - VPN as you said (to encrypt your data).

Layer two - A sensible OS (preferably Linux-based e.g. Kali or even Ubuntu, macOS if you want to be like that) - anything is better than Windows, Android, and Chrome OS.

Layer three - Lots of disposable phone numbers, email addresses and the likes to conceal your identity.

Layer four - Your actual hardware - Computers with USBkill installed to wipe the drive when you’re eventually apprehended, iPhones with the ten-failed-passcode security thing.

Layer five - A specialised mining rig that can function as your Bitcoin wallet, with at least 10 different addresses supplemented by numerous unlinked bank accounts(preferably in multiple countries). Also and avenue for moving the money around those addresses using ACTUAL cash - not through the blockchain.

Layer six - A good browser and e-mail provider. Use only established privacy-focused browser, such as Firefox, if and only if you are sure that your network holes have been properly plugged in.

Layer seven - Remote backups. Only use backup sites that are created by yourself (not even your associates). Avoid iCloud Drive (because even though your iPhone is encrypted, your Drive data isn’t), Google Drive (we all know how Google is nah) and the likes.

Layer seven - Secured communication system - Don’t use mainstream email providers with little or no security, use bitches like ProtonMail (the morons encrypt their mail in servers below freaking solid rock - I think like a mile or so) or any other one that properly encrypts your data that not even them can read it.

Layer eight - Don’t trust America. The best place to get all these VPNs and email stuff is Switzerland. They have the strongest privacy laws in the world. But of course, use your Google Search for your normal dealings so as not to appear suspicious.

Layer eight - In fact, trust no one. After you’ve made your cash, don’t pull a Hushpuppi and start blowing on social media so that you won’t draw attention. And try to assume that everything is bugged. That your friend, he might be an EFCC agent or worse.

And remember, you’ll eventually get caught.
These aren’t fraudster-specific stuff, they’re just some measures that we should all take when handling sensitive info.

There’s a lot more than what I’ve outlined up there - Tor, privacy-centric computers, not clicking random links on websites, moving cash securely, deleting browser history etc. Go and do your own research before becoming a fraudster.

The thing is that if you take your time to secure yourself, they can’t catch you. It’s just like Aech in Ready Player One.

BTW, no I don’t support the practice of stealing people’s money, even because of a shitty government

Except you are your own ISP. Except you generate and supply your own Internet then nothing you do on the Internet will be trackable but that is not the case.

So guys who want to be better than Hushpuppy should think about building their own Internet service provider grin

Ever heard of how a VPN works?

From Comparitech - https://www.comparitech.com/blog/vpn-privacy/best-vpn-to-stop-isp-from-tracking-internet-activity/
"A VPN encrypts all of a device’s internet traffic and routes it through an intermediary server in a location of the user’s choosing. While the VPN is connected, your ISP cannot see what websites you visit, what apps you use, or the contents of anything you send or receive over the web. Nor can the ISP inject advertisements or other online content into your browser."

There's a reason these kind of services exist. cool
TV/Movies / Dstv Owner, Multichoice Creates New Streaming Service by PrettyMuchNoOne: 3:34am On Jul 10, 2020
With the impending doom brought forth by the continuous movements of traditional subscribers to web-based solutions such as Netflix and Amazon's Prime Video, Multichoice, the SA-based company, has consistently tried to grow its current user base; with current data as of the ending of 2019 showing that the television provider is struggling to break even.

Now it has launched a new addition to its popular streaming service, Showmax. Dubbed Showmax Plus, it combines the best entertainment found on the lower tier such as popular shows like Mercy & Ike, with their Supersport and news services - including the English Premier League, LaLiga, Serie A, FA Cup, MotoGP, Dakar Rally, NASCAR Cup, ATP and WTA Tours and more events previously only found on its decider-based product, DStv.

The product is aimed towards people who want to enjoy live sport and entertainment on the go, without shelling out the cash for a decoder. This is as compared to their other web-based service - DStv Now - which is only accessible if you currently have a decoder. The two services will likely exist side-by-side, similar to how UK-based provider, Sky, operates.

The move comes amidst the #Dstvmustfall campaign on Twitter and mounting pressure by the Nigerian government to switch over to a Pay-as-you-go model of pricing, which would probably result in losses for the company. THISDAY also reported that they are considering not renewing their EPL and UEFA Champions League broadcast licenses for the 2022/23 season. This would be considered by many to be a bad move, as Amazon already owns the rights to a few EPL matches in United Kingdom (along BT Sports and Sky), and will likely not hesitate to fill in the void left behind. Also, Netflix reportedly set apart $8 billion to invest in Africa as part of its efforts to become a household name on the continent.

The service is available to viewers in Nigeria and Kenya from July 7 at the price of ₦6300 or KSh 2100 for the full plan and ₦3200 or KSh 1050 for the mobile-only plan per month. The service is expected to roll out to South Afria in six to eight weeks.

Comparions:
Showmax - ₦2900 or ₦1450 (mobile-only) per month.
Showmax Pro - ₦6300 or ₦3200 (mobile-only) per month.
Netflix - ₦2900 per month.
Amazon Prime Video - $5.99 (₦2695.50 at current rates) per month.

No I don't know OTC trade but with your mention of black market I suppose it will be on the dark web. Now the moment you activate your VPN and use TOR browser to access the dark web, the FBI gets alerted immediately and they begin to monitor your activities. So be rest assured that the FBI is monitoring all your activities on your so called OTC trade.

You are considered a criminal the moment you start accessing the dark web. From that moment all your activities are being logged by FBI and when they are satisfied with the evidence they have collected, they will now come with their handcuffs.
The dark web in itself isn’t criminal.
And how will they track you? Did they put something on your system? If you see download link in Tor, will fear allow you to click it??

On most exchanges today, they will not register you except they get you to take a picture of yourself with your ID, holding paper with that day's date. Except you will eat your cryptos, you will have to sell at some point. If you want to sell your cryptos, they will only send the cash to a bank account with a name that matches the ID. This is where the crypto to cash mule or mumu probably comes in.

Because it is a mumu, it has forgotten that original details were used in opening the bank account, which the exchange has tied to the details it submitted. It sells for cash, leaving audit trail that will later destroy the whole ring.

Same for the cash to crypto mule. The mule has left footprints in the bank and the scammer collecting his dough as crypto will not protect him 100%. There is always an Achilles heel. What about OTC? Well, like someone said, if them get your time they will get you.

You are probably buying for Politicians and acting as their own mumus to help steal our national wealth. As long as you have BVN, you will leave your own footprint online too. It is only a matter of time, you will be caught, and disgraced.

Someone, said their money will quadruple by the time they are through. Remember, some people went to jail for Liberty reserve and E-gold. Today those currencies no longer exist. Use your head.

I think the issue with most Yahoo boys is that they have left school for a long time and their mates pursuing legit hustles have gone too far. They feel it is too difficult to admit that fraud doesn't pay now and start all over again. So, they blindly cross the road to their destruction.

Crime / Re: The FBI can actually hack into Hush Puppi’s or anyone else’s Bitcoin Wallets by PrettyMuchNoOne: 2:39am On Jul 10, 2020
The problem with bitcoin is that anyone can see what you’re doing. So if you do phishing and tell a business to transact to your bitcoin address and then you transfer it from there to somewhere else, any Dick and Harry with an internet connection can see it.
The right (better actually, seeing that it’s ethically wrong anyway) thing to do would have been to divert the funds to some random bank account, collect the actual cash, split it up, deposit different portions of the cash into unrelated accounts, and then slowly fund the final bitcoin wallet — virtually undetectable)
Of course, all that wouldn’t make any sense if you used the same computer, so it’d have been even better if you transferred the cash to another country, and deposited it from a VPN over Tor in a VM in another VM - and then delete both VMs immediately with military grade techniques.

Just sayin’

And they can easily access private keys via advanced data mining. That’s my point. So far you have ever typed in your private keys while accessing your wallet(or address if you prefer that) online, your data can be mined using certain exclusive and advanced tools. They can also use network sniffing technology depending on circumstances. There are several ways the FBI can hack into any Bitcoin address or wallet. Many of these techniques are highly classified. They will just announce that they have accessed certain Bitcoin addresses but they won’t really tell you how.

There’s like 2^212 bitcoin addresses out there. Upon PGP and everything. If you like carry Emegwali’s computer, it cannot be cracked using today’s technology

Most people claiming to be tech gurus or Yahoo boys in Nigeria are living on outdated information. That’s why I laugh when I see them comment about blockchain and cryptocurrency. They are so foolishly confident about what they didn’t develop or have access to its back end. If you have ever attended developers or hackers/Cybersecurity wizards boot camps or conferences in the Sillicon Valley - you will know the ideas behind blockchain and cryptocurrency and how some folks can easily crack into it. You expect me to develop a wallet now and I will tell you it can be hacked? That won’t incentivize most people to use it. Apple thrives on branding - the idea that their security is impregnable by anyone on the planet but how were some FBI agents siting in their offices able to hack into it like a hot knife going through butter? So many things about the internet are classified and I can tell you that the FBI can get almost anything they want from the cyberspace(maybe excluding Russia and China).

I’m only saying all these because I want my Nigerian brothers and sisters to stay away from cybercrime and earn money online legitimately. The internet is not as anonymous as most people think - even if you use whatever cryptocurrency or encryption.

Yahoo boys thrive in Nigeria because EFCC don’t have the manpower and technical know-how to crack on those ragtag fraudsters. Let some Cybersecurity(not even FBI agents now) wizkids from IBM or Sillicon Valley enter Naija today, they will nab most of those Lagos yahoo boys in a couple of months. Most of these yahoo boys use outdated platforms or bromide procedures to defraud vulnerable people. I know of a friend in the US that can use data mining tools to extract any bitcoin address being used from Nigeria - most of you don’t even know how your network providers protect your IP address or data. And VPN is not even entirely secured.

The best thing is to stay away from crime and fraud but so far you think you can scam people online - be assured that you can be easily tracked with the trails you left behind.
I knew that they unlocked it eventually
So it’s after begging that they now went to go and try for themselves?
Imagine somebody is now using the latest one?

Plus Bitcoin addresses don’t have locations in themselves nah- unless your wallet guys track it (one of the reasons for them to have set up their own wallet with Tor and a good VPN)

All those US VPNs, yes they can snitch on you. That’s why you’re supposed to used one based in Switzerland ( especially one with a no log policy - even if they asked them what you were doing, they don’t keep records)

Anyhow I agree with you in that Nigerians don’t even bother to secure themselves - you’ll see some of them doing fraud with their MTN line connected to internet with Google Chrome smiley
(They wouldn’t even turn on incognito mode)

But imo if you take time they wouldn’t catch you (st least you’ll give them a hard time)

And to all the aspiring scammers out there don’t do it ohhh
(But if you want at least use a Linux VM please- put some effort into it)

Don’t mind them. I created a thread about it some days ago and some people were arguing with me. You can use iPhones and Bitcoin to evade EFCC arrest but when it comes to the FBI, so far you use the internet outside of Russia and China, they will track down everything you do(or did). With data mining, FBI agents will use certain tools to unravel all the bitcoin addresses in Nigeria. They are all in the cloud and data mining will unravel every user - by matching it with their transaction IDs and email addresses. People are so naive to think something created by a fellow human being like them cannot be detected or will be known to only them grin cheesy cheesy

If there's any lesson here, it is simple. Don't Bleep with the US and any organisation within it.

Don't use US search engines, browsers, IM apps, etc. These guys would tender all records to the feds when the chips are down.

Regular WhatsApp is end to end encrypted( nobody can look at what you’re sending and understand). However, the backups in iCloud of Google Drive i.e. the transcript, is unencrypted. So they might have accessed those ones.

Also, the fact that the messages are encrypted in transit doesn’t mean that one malware on your phone might not be able to read it

The key Phrase there said REVERSE ENGINEERING. how many people have knowledge of that?
That is even too complex, all they need is the Mac address and service tag or serial number on your system,Your ISP provider will supply your modem/router number, all your internet visitation will be presented to you.
You think once you wipe from your systems it ends there abi?

1. If they were using a VPN(especially one of those ones that doesn’t keep any records) then the internet history is gone.
2. If they just wiped it normally, then MAYBE some stuff can be recovered.
3. But if they encrypted it before they wiped it, that means the data would have been scrambled so even if they bother to scam the drives and find something - it will be meaningless ( and decrypting it would take an unreasonable amount of time)

The only thing is that, being Nigerians, they probably wouldn’t have taken these precautions (as is evident by the fact that Hushpuppi was flaunting anyhow on Instagram) but as you’re defrauding those kind of amounts undecided
