Well, the issue of legislation on SEDUCTION will better be on its own not to be enshrined under RAPE.
Seduction doesn't count. If a lady seduces a man and they have sex who is to blame? Both of them. It's the same thing as a thief seeing something of value and getting tempted to steal. It's the same thing as every temptation we humans face. If you have sex with a woman because she seduced you, you are just morally weak.

Remember Neymer's false rape case

jungle justice on media trials is wicked.

also let us remember "Berger to Ajah" rape saga.
women can be devilish too

many innocent people have been killed by wicked people on the street yelling thief and evil action takes over.

let us be civilised.
Point taken. Don't forget the rapists that have gotten away with their crimes because the victims were too afraid or ashamed to talk. I trust my instincts and my guts is telling me that he is guilty. Whether people agree with me or not is pointless.

The instance of rape was passed one sided in favor of the women folks. Men are also being seduce unlawful. There's a need to legislate on SEDUCTION to balance things off as it will help both gender to refrain from UNLAWFUL ACT since that's the problem.
This law has been in existence since 2004! No review since then. Nigeria is a confused country.

Under the Criminal Code of Nigeria, Rape is defined, as having unlawful carnal knowledge of a woman or girl, without her consent, or with her consent, if the consent is obtained by force or by means of threats or intimidation of any kind, or by fear of harm, or by means of false act, or, in case of a married woman, be personating her husband.
Rape can happen to anyone, please protect your love ones.
It doesn't matter how long it takes for someone to open up, what matters is that the person has the courage to speak out so that healing can start.

U reacted to the drug, it wasn't her fault. Nobody knows who would react to something until it has already happened. Don't take that drug again tho, not in tablet or injection. By the way, not everyone that wears that uniform is actually a nurse. They are probably individuals with little or no training at all. U know them as auxiliaries, I prefer to call them health aids
I don't know what happened but i will talk about my own experience. I have worked in ubth before, in that particular unit. That is accident and emergency for medical cases. Most of the patients there are brought in almost too late, we Nigerians don't like seeking helping until we are dying. There is little the doctors and nurses can do most times. There is what they call triage nursing. The most severe cases are handled first before less severe cases, that way everyone gets the best care. A patient's relative once said I killed her sister but her sister wasn't brought to the hospital early enough, even after complaining of pain, stooling and coughing out blood for weeks. She was brought in not breathing, we tried to resuscitate her but she didn't make it. Also, we lack the facilities to provide the best care. Nigeria is a country where nothing works. If we had first responsdents, if we had ambulance services, the person would have gotten some kind of treatment before getting to the hospital. The relatives are probably acting out of pain, shock and disbelief. So at the end of the day, there are so many factors involved. I can't say who is wrong or right, I can only share my experience.

I hope she will know better .
Its good to allow a male child free and not smother him too much .
I guess I transfered my anger from the thread of a wife and mother in-law insulting themselves to this thread. The sight of both them insulting each other was appalling .

Its a good thing , your mum took a step back towards your brother and allowed him space and freedom. Its good smiley
Mothers must know when to draw the line and withdraw peacefully and joyfuly
Exactly! I am glad we can agree.

Am angry because I read a post this morning , showing a wife insulting her mother in-law in her own matrimonial home. both of them fighting each other while the husband ,her son films it.
I read stories on wives slapping mother in law , even some beating the mother in law up and I wonder what must have caused such reaction .
Why would a mother in-law leave her house , go over to her sons house, provoke the wife in a way that she sees her mil as a rival instead of seeing her as a mother .

I see Tonto dike kissing her son almost every day on the lips

Now mobudu had to make her face look young with filters next to her son ,wearing husband and wife kind of attires . sad and I wonder .

Then I remember how one single mother I use to know always fuss over her son ,then jokingly I said to her , when your son grows into a man, I doubt if u can let go and allow him marry in peace . She said ha! Her son must marry her along wit his wife. She must move in with them . he is her life . and I just wonder .

I look at all these women and I begin to realise this morning , that women who have no stable men in their lives are now becoming mentally unstable and fixated on their son .

Small remain, the mother and son will start having sex! I'm telling u, we are gradually getting to that sick mentality level..

May God help us all.. And may God help the men impregnanting these women to be a responsible partner , husband , or baby daddy to their women ..

The pic up there with her son gives room for concern. Filtering her pic to look young , nawa!

Some peeps will rant this morning , that am saying trash but we all know , I'm saying the truth .
Hmmm I understand your point, I get it. My mum is very affectionate when it comes to her children, especially my brother but as he got older she encouraged his independence and freedom. These days she doesn't even offer advice except it is very necessary. Mothers cling to their sons a lot, but some mothers adjust when their sons get older. I want to believe that Mo, being the strong and independent woman that she is would know better than to raise a mama's boy. Let's give her the benefit of a doubt. We don't even know her.

That's why some mothers won't allow the son's wife live peacefully with her son.

In such mother's mind , they are already married to their son. Any other woman coming in between them is an intruder , or a side chick .
May God help Nigerian single mothers , baby mothers to know when to draw the line between herself and her son and allow their sons to flourish and live peacefully with his beloved wife, amen

Your view makes sense. I believe it's important for a man to know how to cook.

Unfortunately, even in this day and age, talking with some women, I find that in spite of their education, they feel their sons shouldn't cook but should do other things around the house. Some of these ideas are carryovers from their cultures. So there will be some men who don't know how to cook because they didn't have the opportunity to learn to do it.

I think you might miss something if you insist on ticking that box. My beloved didn't know how to cook but he is no longer a stranger in the kitchen. When I'm tired, he helps out. He's not like my dad who shopped and cooked but he has tried.

You can help your man to understand why he needs to know how to cook and then teach him to cook especially in the early days of marriage when there's just the two of you.

Hmmmm thanks, I appreciate your view. I have learnt a thing or two.

Ok. Most men will say they can't marry a woman that can't cook, which is fine. I have no problem with it at all! Everybody has what they can and can't do without so who am I to say otherwise? Dfferent strokes for different folks, but as for me, I can't marry a man that cannot cook or do some house chores, I feel it's a sign of laziness. If we are dating and I discover it, he will learn how to do them, not just for me but for the entire family. What if I travel and I leave him with the children, what if I am sick? What if I am on duty? Does it mean he would starve? That's bad. All parents should teach their children how to do these things to avoid stories that touch. No woman would use food to punish my brother or my son. Marriage na partnership o! Help your spouse in their responsibilities, it would improve your marriage, I can't allow my husband to provide for the family alone it might be overwhelming sometimes, no be slavery! He should also do the same for me. That's love.

Not just for women, but for everybody as a whole. Twitter is suppose to be useful, it still is, but the way most Nigerians insults themselves all in the name of savagery is silly. Nudity is so common. Everybody is a motivational speaker on twitter, most people lose their home training the moment they are on that app. It's not just twitter, Instagram nko? Social media has its great benefits but most Nigerians are using it for the wrong reasons. Don't even get me started on cyber bullying, Nairaland has this problem. Nairaland folks, I beg u, if someone's opinion is different from yours, express yourself in a polite way, be intelligent about it, don't throw away your manners, don't act like an uncultured swine. Have respect! If am a CEO of a company, I will demand that all applicants for job vacancies have their social media accounts checked especially Instagram and twitter, I can't employ a bully, or a tribalistic person. If you are not responsible on social media, you can't be responsible during direct contact with people, your ugly side must come out. Your opinions should be the same at all times, no double mind, unless you are a coward.
