African football really needs to step up beyond this level... Can't believe we hard more exciting tournaments in the 90s and early part of the Millennium.

Our armed forces seriously need attention especially the Nigeria Police and Nigeria Army because majority of their operatives are nothing but touts in uniform. Imagine beating someone to this extent over a mere issue..... And you still have the audacity to say you didn't know the victim is a police officer... This is after over ten men fought a single man...

Nigerian Army has become something else. They are above the law and their Bleep has to be treated rightly. A new law needs to be passed to cut down their wings else, Nigeria may return to military rule. The national assembly and the president has to do something about this.


The last time was Policemen fighting a lawyer who came to your station to bail his client and only for you to heat him with gun, abuse him and lock him up inside same cell with his client.

Seriously something has to be done as soon as possible because our uniform men just seen themselves above the law.

I have outgrown some certain things which includes the insults the SEeasterners hurl at the Yorubas. A lot of people, different tribes and tongues had one way or another benefited from the magnamity of a Yoruba person, nonetheless, Yorubas hardly blow their own trumpet by themselves. I recall that this BBnaija guy was a hype among igbo viewers and they believed he became big through Obi Cubana, without them realising the fact that he had an humble begining and a Yoruba man was instrumental in the early stage of his life yet to them, every Yoruba is poor and hungry. Everything is monetized in Imo. There was a time I do visit Owerri almost on weekly basis, you can't imagine that the village youths do block a certain part of the road that the motorists do take.

Breaking up or returning to regional government won't solve anything

1.You would have the same small Nigerias...a elite controlling how revenues are shared. That's the issue with Biafra and indeed with other regions.

2.You would have one big tribe dominating other tribes. Issues would result (That's a big reason why we have states...and also it is something that affects other African countries eg Uganda).

The only way a region could work, or indeed a separate country...is the government mandating that every LGA funds itself, every state within funds itself...from taxes. Our tax to gdp nationally is a disgrace, at state level it is even worse. But that would lead to protests and riots.

The current hardship we are experiencing IS very simple. We are trying to build a welfare economy on a thin revenue base. We are trying to use one source of income to pay for something that needs twenty sources or more of income to pay for.

Nigeria has always been in economic crisis ever since I was a child....and everytime all the experts said the same thing...we rely on one source of income and we need to diversify. The truth is, every Nigerian leader does patch patch because the alternative involves severe economic hardship.

Industrialization would help us grow very well. Very well. But the truth is, all industrial countries went through hardship to get to developed state...whether UK, Russia, South Korea, Japan, etc...all went through hardship to get there. So we pretend the money is enough and stealing commenceth.

Yes, corruption. Tinubu is corrupt, so also all the predecessor governments before him (remember the ten percenters of Nzeogwu's speech. They never went away...they are still there). Because when you run an economy like Nigeria where the division of revenue is controlled at one spot...and no, true federalisim won't change that...the stealing by those close to the division of funds is going to happen. It does not matter which government we put there, stealing will happen. Add the fact that Nigerians just want their side to take over, and control the looting...which is why we cannot have anyone holding government to account at all...and here we are.

And God knows if we divide Nigeria, we would end up with little Nigerias....all of them as corrupt as each other.

We better change ourselves.
