Thank you. It is for this reason I've been saying that Dangote's refinery will never get off the ground and produce as promised. The West does not want Africa period to be independent... it must not control its natural resources. Nigeria has crude oil... but will not be allowed to refine it and shut out the West. ExxonMobil and Shell and the others ... why would we believe they would be shut out by Dangote from supplying African countries with refined petroleum products? As I see it.... Dangote will be unable to service his debts and his refinery will be taken over by his foreign investors and only then will it be functioning as promised. Who then will really be supplying Africa with the refined products? We will still be at the mercy of the merciless " foreign investors".

Competition is good ... it helps to control prices. In this case we will know if the NNPCL was ripping us off. As a government entity they are not supposed to be making a profit. The marketers are in it to make a profit ... that's business. They are both buying at market prices.... using foreign exchange. If the marketers can sell at the same price as NNPCL or less.... it means we were being ripped off by the NNPCL.... Tinubu need to have them investigated... and charged if need be.
We should never expect prices to drop because of competition... in this the price at the pump depends on the strength of the Naira to the dollar .... and the price of crude.
No doubt... giving licenses to have small local refineries is good... but with the savings from subsidies the FG should also make loans available to help locals have them up and running. I believe this will be the only way to bring down prices in the long run or we will continue to bleed foreign exchange on imports which is not sustainable.

Federal government will not be open concerning the local refineries as people speculate, the eagle eyed mafias are also watching, the way the federal government can indirectly support it is through Terrorism, that's a group like Bokoharam pretending to be fighting for oil build lots of refineries while federal government pretend that they can't do anything about it, that's the only way, Nigeria resources are in for grabs by these devilish wolves. The Nigerian weak point is disunity, tribalism, that's why no leader can be strong enough to fix our refineries because those western powers always threaten them with dividing the Country if they fail to do their bidding which the federal government does not want.
