• August 2, 2022: MP responds that Eligibility has been passed and final approval will come in due time

I would like to say thank you to @Frankrobbn1 for encouraging me to submit without a second review after my consultant had reviewed. Despite the fact that I did not use his service, he took to the time to review my first gcms notes after submission and for that I say thank you. For all those still waiting on God for PPR, God has done it! Amen!!! Keep praying and keep monitoring. Also, it is advisable to order GCMS notes as many times as possible, the VO sometimes could make mistakes. So monitoring is key.

Please this passport submission process seems abit confusing from the VFS website. Please can someone direct me to an existing post on this or guide me. I will like to submit to Abuja Office from Lagos.

Today today 4th August PPR dropped without eligibility starting on the portal .

My PPR dropped yesterday but my school told me my admission has been rescinded and I need to reapply ( Application for my program opens October).

I tried to defer but was told I can't defer twice since I already did last year.

It has been God all the way.

I stumbled on this thread a month after submissions when there was no movement with my application. I did not submit the numerous documents seen on the thread and doubted my application will be approved at a point especially home ties.

I got frustrated when my medicals was not updated for at least one month. I sent various emails to Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Abuja and filled numerous forms. My faith was tested and still I believed that God who started this will perfect it.

Normally this is good news but i am worried because a medical was not requested which i thought was the next step since I didn’t do upfront medicals. Please I’d like to make an inquiry based on my application. I submitted on April 26th, biometrics was updated same day. I did upfront Medicals on 28th of June. No update on my application until around 20th of July when eligibility review started. Though I’ve been sending series of mails and webform since the second week I completed my Medicals in the first week of July. July 27th medical passed. So my question is; since my medical was updated to pass after eligibility review has started, is that a positive sign that I might get my PPR anytime soon?

I have finally confirmed It's not a dream; it's real. It's PPR!!!!

Got a email notification from IRCC around 9:30 am on June 27 to check my mail for a message. Without delay and with my inner eyes raised to, and fixed on, he who lives in the highest heavens, I logged in to my portal. I scrolled up slowly as I didn't want to rush it. I saw "You have 2 messages" on my dashboard, my shaky heart was strengthened a bit because, from what I have noticed from people's posts on Nairaland, PPR often comes with it's twin brother, BVL. Yet I continued scrolling up in slow motion; lo and behold, it was PPR and its twin brother. Then I glanced at the "Final decision" section and saw "Your application was approved...". Guys! Only heaven could say how large my heart dilated in joy.

I needed to take the whole day to be sure I wasn't seeing a vision or having a daydream, and share with families and friends.

Further below you'll find my timeline. But before that, it may interest you to know that my application is quite unusual. And since I joined Nairaland, I haven't seen any one similar.

To give you an idea:

1) FIRST TIME APPLICANT (NEW PORTAL)

2) DID EVERYTHING MYSELF WITHOUT MUCH PRIOR KNOWLEDGE (submitted my application just about amonth after joining Nairaland)

3) 38 years old with very little or no secular work experience (there's a reason for that, though). Single, but not searching yet. lol!

4) Currently not working (though was doing an online course that is not even related to my prospective program - Master's in Philosophy)

5) As a logical follow-up of no.4, NO FINANCIAL/PERSONAL ASSETS declared ( there's a reason, though). Didn't submit any personal Bank statement; just my sponsor's. (People are refused visa on the basis of lack of financial/personal assets. But I got approval even without any; what God cannot do does not exist).

6) SPONSORED BY A MATERNAL UNCLE (Mum's immediate younger brother) living and working in the US as a medical doctor. (Third-party sponsored applications get up to 95 - 98% refusal; practically all approvals I've seen on Nairaland are either self-sponsored, spouse-sponsored, parent-sponsored). But I got approval; God too strong o. When he opens the door, no one can close it.

As you can see, what we call "red flags" abound. Plus a plethora of other imperfections i noticed in my application after I had submitted, as I got more enlightened following people's inputs on Nairaland. In fact, when I read people's refusal reasons and the watertightness of approved applications, I felt there was no need to keep deceiving myself. I never gave up trusting in God, though. Tell me, then, why we can't call this a miracle from the Most High.

TIMELINE

- Application Submitted - MAY 11

- Biometrics - MAY 12 ( Lagos)

- Upfront medicals done - MAY 9 ( didn't submit the information sheet with the application)

- Upfront medicals updated - JUNE 22 (after
sending the information sheet via webforms and emails to Nairobi, Lagos, Abuja, and London around mmid-June)

- Eligibility Started same JUNE 22

- PPR and BVL - JULY 27

Total duration of my application is therefore 10 WEEKS and 2 DAYS.

I'll come back to share the DOCUMENTS Submitted (They are not that much).

Some unanswered questions on this thread will find responses with my case.

KINDLY NOTE, HOWEVER: each person's case is unique. I tailored my LOE and I believe honesty pays. Know your case and present a tailor-made application. No complications.

Going to UNIVERSITY OF OTTAWA. Someone told me amusingly that uOttawa visa applications are never turned down. lol! (Don't take this seriously, please). Na only God fit do the magic!

I started my Canada journey in 2019 with express entry but point and ielts never favored me but i kept believing God for a way out. I am a Phd holder and also a lecturer in one of the popular Nigerian university. I had offers of admission for MBA from 7 different university from USA and Canada but I opted for Canada cos of the benefits which outwayed that of USA by mine assessment. My first study permit application was in 28 January, 2022 but i was refused on 24th March 2022. I immediately applied for my GCM note which came as purpose of visit then i got an information from the gurus in this platform that it cant be approved cos i had phd in business mgt and i am applying for MBA in business mgt so it made it really difficult in human eyes but God turned it around with intense prayer,fasting, praises and good letter of explanation.
December 2021 I got my admission from UCW university Canada west Vancouver though i had applied to 14 different university and my husband was available to always foot any bill.

Pls how long those it take them to give feedback on there admission. Have applied since 30 of june nothing yet na just student portal login they gave me.
