On a lighter note, disregard the information you encounter on the VFS site. It is unnecessary to schedule an appointment for passport submission. Instead, gather all the required documents, make the necessary transmission fee payment, and utilize the services of Speedpost (such as DHL and UPS) for courier purposes. Pay for the round-trip courier service, and then patiently await the delivery of your passports to your designated address. I have two recommendations to offer:

Opt for the two-way courier service provided by DHL.
If you desire a prompt return of your passport, regardless of where you completed your biometric process, send it to Abuja.

Maybe you should try to call them or chat them online and see if they can give you some concession. I am aware they offer VIP services at a cost though. So you may want to check that out.

PPR finally dropped for my wife and 3rd kid yesterday morning.
Timeline----‐ Application submitted April 25 for spouse and 3 kids.
Medical done on May 29th.
Medical requested May 26th
Medical passed May 31st.
PPR for 2 kids June 1st
Webform raised June 4th
PPR for wife and 3rd kid June 7th.

Husband on a work permit in Canada.

@Teekay20: Also good to state here that your SOP should have some sort of urgency. If that was there, then it makes it possible for them to attend to you speedily.

I type this with sim much joy and pleasure as my wife’s SOWP was just approved. We got married sometime last year and I also graduated from a DLI last year but because I did flagpole at the American boarder, and didn’t have a recognized NOC (TEER) job, we couldn’t apply as we knew it would be straight rejection.

Not until after Canada announced that anyone could apply after February 1st as long as you have an eligible PGWP. We decided to wait till then, and filled in the application late February. After several weeks and months and sending personal emails and webforms, Canada decided to give us our love yesterday yesterday.

For those interested in applying with their spouse, be it married for a longtime or just got married, please and please, put in that application. You would be surprised at the outcome.

PS: We also contacted the MP in Burnaby, New Westminster and Central Vancouver to expedite our process and we only got feedback from one of them. Although, we feel that also impacted our timeline.

What exactly do you want right now? My guess is, if I understand you, you're qualified for IW but since your partner isn't you're looking for her interview date to be moved closer. Is this accurate?
Well, what I know is this: my sister is married to an American citizen who was based in Germany. She recently returned with their 2 kids for a short stay. Upon applying to return to Germany, her visa was inexplicably denied. After several appeals, her husband got fed up and gave up his job in Germany so they could all return to the US. Of course their 2 kids are US citizens. Only her with 9ja passport dragging the family back lol...
Anyways, the point of this story is that she too applied for US visa but initially got a distant date. That's when she got introduced to a connect who worked some magic for her and got her a date within one week
We initially had plenty of suspicion until the appointment was verified online and that's when she received all the login info after paying the connect.
The interview was just formality cos her 2 boys are US citizens so she had smooth sailing. Got her visa few days later and now the family is back in the US.
Just find the right connect if you seek a quick interview appointment.
