TIPS ON HOW TO HAVE A GOOD NYSC CAMPING EXPERIENCE http://www.bleechreports.com/2017/11/tips-on-how-to-have-good-nysc-camping.html?m=1 |
Whats up! Whats up!! TGIW…... Thank God its Wednesday *I hope there is anything like that* Nwanne Ke Kwa nu… yeaaahhh I have been learning a few Igbo language, but I don’t really understand this dude that calls me “Hakeem” like how does “Kunmi” and “Hakeem” sound the same? Well Nysc orientation camp opened yesterday and I hope you are at your respective state of deployment. I will be sharing a few tips that will help you have a safe and wonderful camping experience. DOCUMENTATION: After you must have settled down in your hostels and found a bed space, the next thing for you is to start your documentation process, now there are so many misconceptions about this, someone told me to make at least 20- 30 copies of all my documents, well I made like 20 each, during documentation I ended up using just 5 copies each. So I’ll advise you to make 5-7 copies of ALL your documents, also come with original copies of your documents just to show them for verification but don’t submit them. LUGGAGES: Please when you are coming to camp don’t over pack yourself with luggage, I laugh when I see people with big boxes, are you planning on staying there for the rest for your life?? Travel light, all the things you need will be available for sale at the camp, let’s not kid ourselves, you will probably not use most of the things you brought from home. NO FRIVOLOUS SPENDING: Money is a very important factor, people will give you gist of how they spent more than 80-100k in camp, excuse me did you buy a land there?? i am not saying you shouldn’t spend at all, but don’t spend frivolously, that fact that you came to camp with loads of cash doesn’t mean you have to spend everything at a 3 weeks’ camp, who says you can’t save. POWER BANKS: Most of the camp hostels do not have electric sockets for charging, so it will be wise to go with a long lasting power bank, though you will get places where you can charge, but with you power bank, it will save you a lot of stress. MEDICATIONS: Health is wealth, if you know that you have an illness and there is a special type of medication for it, please go to camp with these medications. Asthmatic patients should always carry their inhaler with them, if you start to feel symptoms of illness, please go to the camp clinic and receive proper treatment, do not engage in self-medication. THE SOLDIERS: *sighs* they say the fear of soldiers is the beginning of wisdom, well this is so true, that your uncle, brother or father is in the navy or army does not give you the right to insult any of them o!!!! I was told that the soldiers are very brutal and wicked, well it was the opposite, they were very friendly and funny, always happy and ready to work, I still don’t know how they do that, but don’t take advantage of that and be rude to them. BE OPEN MINDED: NYSC happens one in life time, so why don’t you just take the moment and enjoy it, I know it doesn’t look like your big mansion, but hey!! A little change of environment wouldn’t be that bad. One of the things that affected my camp experience was that I wasn’t open minded, just like you I was angry of where I was posted, everything irritated me, but it also affected me, I didn’t get to have fun like others did, when people share their experiences, I keep wondering if it’s the same camp we are in or not, I guessed I missed out on a lot of things. Partake in camp activities, if not all, at least most of them, join a unit in camp, they will enlighten you on these various unit, join anyone that appeals to you, for me I was an OBS member. On a final note be prayerful, don’t let the excitement take you from God, and be wary of those you work with, make friends but don’t make bad friends. www.bleechreports.com/2017/11/tips-on-how-to-have-good-nysc-camping.html?m=1 |
Good evening guys!!!!! I hope you had a wonderful day, well as for me I spent my night chasing mosquitoes *sighs* yeaaahhhh. They really did a good one on me last night, but I’ll get back to them tonight. So today I would be writing on Financial Independence, during the week I was reflecting on my undergraduate days - *yeah it feels good to say that* - and how I normally get broke easily because I only depended on what my parents gave me and maybe few family relatives, this made me realize how much extra cash I could have made as a student which could have made me financially independent. I’ll be sharing few tips on things you can get your hands on while being a student. 1. RECHARGE CARDS : According to research Nigeria’s mobile subscribers has reached 150 million and internet users at 97.2 million, now imagine what you can do with that, you can buy recharge cards from wholesalers at a cheaper price and sell to friends in your hostels, even lecturers at the card surface price. You can make an average of N5 per N100 dominated cards and eventually earn a total profit of N500 – N1000 daily. 2. BLOGGING : In case you don’t know getting a blog is free!!! I wonder what you do with your data when you use it as an avenue to make cool cash??, and you can do that by starting a blog. Since most students have data on their phone, well I guess getting internet connection won’t be a problem. There are so many ways to make money from blogging, Google Adsense is one of the popular way of making money, it is an easy way to make online money, you will get paid for every time a user clicks on your ads, these are called CPC ads “Cost per Click”, and also they pay in dollars!!!! 3. ENTREPRENEURSHIP : Being an entrepreneur is the way now, as a student you can become a boss of your own, most university campuses have the perfect environment to start a business, you literally have an outlet of resources and potential customers, there are so many things to do; as a guy you can open a barbing salon, where your guys will get their haircut, as a lady, a salon will do, you can make different hairstyles for students. I also learnt that you can make money by making artificial wigs; girls will definitely buy these things. Another avenue of making cash is making and selling of beads. I used to know a lady that sells noodles to student in the evening, and she makes a lot of profit from that, you can also make shoes and sandals and sell them. The list just goes on and on. 4. PART TIME JOBS : Get a part-time job, something you can do after lectures, and that pays, even if it’s not that much, you can get a job in a Hotel, sales attendant, waitress and so on. I know some of you might feel irked doing menial jobs, but hey as long as it brings in that extra cash, do it! and it also helps your work experience. 5. FASHION : You can engage in buying of clothing and fashion accessories and selling them in your hostels and campus, and with the use of social media to advertise your products, it gives a wide range of customers. I used to know a girl that travels far as the east to get clothing, comes back home to sell them for a reasonable price, and she still makes her money, she bought a car in her final year, she is a big girl on campus fam. But hey while you are getting all these extra cash, these is not the time to spend frivolously, SAVE!!!!! Aim to save at least 20 – 30% of your income, while you also keep the business going. On a final note challenge yourself, nobody owes you anything!! Not even your parents, so you need to start learning how to be financially independent. ✌ COLUMN: SANDA KUNMILADE (@SauceRick) www.bleechreports.com/2017/11/5-ways-to-make-extra-cash-as-student.html?m=1 |
According to reports gathered, some of the National Youth Service Corps members have received excess allowance for the month of October, some of them received credit alert four times the normal 19,800 they were supposed to receive. Reports also show that some corp members have received credit alerts ranging from 41,000, 72,000 to 164,000 naira. Although NYSC is yet to release an official statement about this sad incident but one of the affected corp member was sent a message from his bank. The message reads thus “As you may have noticed due to a little hitch and technical error of our automated FTDS (Fund Transfer and Dispense System) some corpers were paid twice and others even up to x4 of usual 19800 monthly allowance. While others haven’t received. Please NYSC is a scheme that test not just your academic qualification but also a test of your character, so we want to use this medium to appeal to those that were paid allowee twice or thrice to please return the excess so we can pay those that didn’t receive, please let’s be our brother keeper” It is however the case that some corp members are yet to receive their monthly allowance for October while some corp members were short paid, which can be assumed that it is because of this error. Bleech reports also pleads with the corp members paid the “Double allawee” to please return the money as a sign of integrity and honesty. God bless Nigeria, God bless NYSC Source: www.bleechreports.com/2017/11/error-as-corp-members-get-double.html?m=1 |

Stalker365:You are an Arsenal fan? |
Good morning readers, its Nigeria’s independence day but also for football fans and especially Arsenal faithful, it is Arsene Wenger’s 20th year at the club. Yes it’s going to be a football related article about Wenger today as I am a huge fan of the Arsenal. Arsene Wenger was appointed as the manager of Arsenal in 1996 after previously managing Nancy and AS Monaco, he also had a brief spell at Japanese J.League side Nagoya Grampus Eight. It was a bit of a surprise for some in England when a relatively unknown Frenchman was named the new Arsenal manager, one notable newspaper came up with the headline “Arsene Who?“ Little did they know that an unknown Frenchman will soon become a hero and a household name in English football. Arsene Wenger was born 22nd of October 1949 in Strasbourg France. Arsene’s appointment as Arsenal’s manager brought about a revolutionary change to the game of football in England especially in the late 1990s as he introduced new methods of training and completely changed the diets of players. This led to an increased level of individual and team performance leading to credits from other managers and football pundits alike. After just two years of appointment, the club completed a league and FA Cup double in 1998. The club won another league and cup double in 2002 and retained the cup in 2003. However, In the summer of 2003, in a press conference interview, Wenger said his team could go a whole season undefeated, many laughed at the comment and one notably Sir Alex Ferguson, the then manager of Manchester United. Despite only adding Jens Lehmann to the squad that finished the previous season, Arsene Wenger managed the team to an undefeated league season in 2004 and went on to set a record of 49 games unbeaten in the Premier League. Arsene Wenger guided the team to its first Champions League appearance in 2006 though they lost to Barcelona. Also that year, the club moved to its new home ground in Holloway, London, England. The manager oversaw and played a huge role in orchestrating the stadium move, although many fans complained about the atmosphere in the ground, the move has been seen as one of the biggest decisions in the clubs history. As a result of the stadium move, there were financial constraints that disallowed the club from signing and even keeping some of their best players leading to reliance on youth talents emerging from the club’s academy. Arsenal went on a trophy drought for 9 years which led to period of frustration for many of the fan base. However, the drought was ended in May 2014 when Aaron Ramsey scored the winner in a 3-2 victory over Hull City in the FA Cup final at the Wembley stadium. Arsenal retained the cup again in 2015 making it Wenger’s 9th major trophy with Arsenal. It has been 20 years and many will tell you they prefer the first decade of Arsene’s reign at Arsenal to the second. Much criticism have been leveled at him in the past few years especially during the trophy drought as many fans have been left frustrated with the team’s inability to win the league again since 2004. He has been called many names by fans and even managers of other clubs. However, looking at the bigger picture, it is reasonable to believe that Wenger’s time has been a success at Arsenal, the stadium move, the invisible season and big club name attached to Arsenal testifies to that. His legacy and philosophy will continue to be part and parcel of the club and of English football for a very long time. Wenger was nicknamed “Le Professeur” by fans and British media in reflection of his studios demeanor. His approach to game emphasizes an attacking mentality, with the aim that football ought to be entertaining on the pitch. Many past players of the club have talked about his endearing attitude, class and discipline most of which are evident even to fans of the club in the way at which he handles situations. He his loved by pundits and fellow managers many of which do say a lot of nice things about him. I personally like him and my reasons are beyond what his teams does on the pitch. Although, there have been many years of frustration which is only normal in football, the love for the man still stems from the heart. Whether he leaves at the end of his contract or not, he will be a long lasting legacy at Arsenal and he deserves a statue at the Emirates because he is a legend. There is only one Arsene Wenger. You can follow me on twitter where I tweet everything Arsenal related @DreyKanmzs http://bleechreport..com.ng/2016/10/sports-only-one-arsene-wenger.html

Happy 56th independence anniversary to Nigeria, one of the greatest black country in the world. This morning I was going through my twitter timeline when I saw a tweet saying he wished the white men had stayed, then we began to argue, he was comparing the way South African retained the white for the development of their country. This made me to wonder, were we too eager for independence? Or should we have waited a little bit under the administration the British before gaining our independence? In my own opinion after all the damages that British administration and colonization has caused Nigeria and other African societies, it would be really surprising to see any Nigerian wishing that the white men never left us. Some people would say they brought education to Nigeria, but those who are well informed would agree that the true intention of introducing education to Nigeria was not because of educational development, but to further ensure the exploitation of Nigerians. The main purpose of the colonial school system was to train Africans to help man the local administration at the lowest ranks and to private capitalist firms owned by the British. On the socio-economic services provided by the British government, when we weigh the benefits that the white brought to Nigeria, most people would often conclude that the “good” outweighed the “bad”. This conclusion can quite easily be challenged. Well, they established schools, hospitals, railroads and so on, but these services were small to the benefits they received. From the book HOW EUROPE UNDER DEVELOPED AFRICA it showed that “In Algeria, the figure for infant mortality was 39 per 1,000 live births among white settlers; but it jumped to 170 per 1,000 live births in the case of Algerians living in the towns. In practical terms, that meant that the medical, maternity and sanitation services were all geared towards the well-being of the settlers” Now let’s come down to Nigeria, the book also illustrated that “The southern part of Nigeria was one of the colonial areas that was supposed to have received the most from a benevolent mother country. Ibadan, one of the most heavily populated cities in Africa, had only about 50 Europeans before the last war. For those chosen few, the British colonial government maintained a segregated hospital service of 11 beds in well-furnished surroundings, there were 34 beds for the half a million blacks…. The 4000 Europeans in the country in the 1930s has 12 modern hospitals, while the African population of at least 40 million had 52 hospitals” In conclusion after going through these entire traumas, I don’t think the next thing for us is to wish the whites never left, we shouldn’t look back and imagine what Nigeria would look like if they never left, because in my own opinion this country would be in chaos if we were still under British administration. We should all work as one to stop the corruption in this country and make this country a better place. God Bless Nigeria!!!! Note: This is one man’s opinion, feel free to drop your comments and opinion. http://bleechreport..com.ng/2016/10/nigerias-56th-independence-should.html cc: Lalasticlala
