Hello everyone, please my sister applied for dependant visa for her 2kids as she is in the UK already. It's been over 2months now yet no positive update from UKVI. First, they demanded for additional documents as she is no longer together with their father, all of which was provided. She even made a paid call 3weeks ago and they said it would be escalated, yet no response. Please what do we do? Has anyone experienced this sort of delay before? |

[quote author=dee1504 post=123539049]The sole custody letter your sister submitted, is it from a competent COURT OF LAW? If yes, you can submit it again along with proof of accommodation and care plan for the children since only one parent will be with the children in the UK and the said parent will be working as well (i.e who cares for the children when Mummy is at work?) If the sole custody letter is not from a competent court of law, then you will need to get one from the courts. If the above is not possible, then you have to get a letter from Daddy granting mummy the permission to take the children to the U.K + biodata page of daddy's passport. If non of these can be done, then UKVI will assume mummy wants to take the children to the U.K against Daddy's wishes (child trafficking) and will most likely deny the children's visas. I hope this is well explained and hope it helps as well Yes it is . Thank you so much |
Good day house Please my sister received this nsf mail for her kids application. What does she have to do. She submitted divorce certificate and sole custody letter in her application. She is not in good terms with ex hubby and can't get his passport data page requested. Please help🙏 Your application is being assessed under paragraph SW 30.1 to SW 30.2. The Immigration Rules require that the applicant’s parents must each be either applying at the same time as the applicant or have permission to be in the UK (other than as a visitor) unless: (a) the parent with permission as a Skilled Worker is the sole surviving parent; or (b) the parent with permission as a Skilled Worker has sole responsibility for the child’s upbringing; or (c) the decision maker is satisfied that there are serious and compelling reasons to grant the child entry clearance or permission to stay with the parent who has permission as a Skilled Worker. I note that your Mother currently has a Skilled Worker visa. However your Father currently does not have permission to be in the UK. I further note that your parents are divorced. As things currently stand, your case would stand for refusal. Please can you provide additional evidence / information which shows that you will meet the requirements of the Immigration Rules? I.e. does your Mother have sole responsibility for your care? (if so, please provide official supporting evidence) We would also require evidence to support suitable arrangements for your care and accommodation in the UK, which must comply with relevant UK legislation. OR If your Mother does not have sole responsibility of your care then please provide: • Evidence to support suitable arrangements for your care and accommodation in the UK, which must comply with relevant UK legislation. • A letter of consent from your Father plus a copy of the bio data page of their passport or other official government identity document containing their signature. |
[quote author=dee1504 post=123519250]It would have been better if your flight landed in Cardiff so you would have been closer. It looks like your best option is to go by coach, from the angle of balancing cost and convenience. However, if you have a lot of money to spare, take a Taxi, probably Uber XL.. I hope this helps It really does help. Thank you so much. I will go by coach then, since you said it's a cheaper option. The inconvenience is only for a while. This UK one needs to hold as much pounds as possible and save cost when you can. God bless you all for all you do on this forum. Can't be grateful enough 🙏 |
[quote author=dee1504 post=123516227]If you can give the name of the city you're going, then it will be easier to guide you on the best option. If not, then go by coach. Quantity of luggage is not a problem as long as it is stated in your booking. I hope this helps I will be going to Torquay in Devon |
[quote author=Wisdom7400 post=123503043]Yes but wahala. Ur arival terminal might even be underground(T2) and u will need to take a train to get u to the station (T5) then the coach will also drop u off to another station definitely and u will need to start booking a taxi at this point to ur final destination. So the best is Taxi strt up since its just a one off kind of movement. Its not sth u will do everyday. So just keep money for taxi. U can even liase with the taxi to take u to post office to pick up ur brp at once before heading to ur final destination but make sure u have given at least 3 weeks for HO to get ur cards ready from the date ur entry clearance was issued. Final tips: Check the mileage from Heathrow to ur destination, multiply by £2/mile and consider ur luggage too. That will give u an idea for the cost of taxi. But wait a min! Did u say 3hrs trip? By bus or by taxi? If its a 3hr trip by taxi then that will be almost 200 miles. Why dont you fly to this destination because taxi will be very expensive. Its not cheap to fly too because of ur luggages and u will still book a taxi again to ur final destination las las. So you have to weigh the options. Thank you so much for your response. I am very very grateful. I thought about a taxi too but it is expensive. That is why I'm considering a coach. We checked the distance from our destination to the station and its just about 3mins distance. Our arrival terminal is Heathrow terminal 4, is it far from where we can board the coach? We are a family of 4, with 7 lugages, so I was unsure if a coach can take passengers with that much luggage. It seemed to be the cheapest option so far .What do u suggest? |
Please help!!! Can one take a coach with kids from heathrow airport on a 3hours trip to destination? Especially with lugages |

[quote author=Canva1405 post=122957812]Good evening all. I have a biometric appointment next week and I intend to use the courier service for the delivery of my travelling document to my end. I want to know if the payment will be made online before the appointment date or at the Visa application center. And what is the cost of the service? Thank you everyone as I await your response. The payment can be made online if you wish or at the visa application centre, whichever you wish. The fee is about N9,000 |
Good Evening House, please i have two questions 1. If my dependent partner has been to the UK before from 2008-2010 on study visa, note that this info was included on the application form under extra information column, should he send a scanned copy of his old visa page among the documents to submit or not? 2. Should i include my COS document among the documents to submit for my visa application? Thank you all so much |
