After much thoughts, I've decided to sell my female lhasa due to the number of incoming pets later this year.

She's the only small breed in the house and I wont want her to feel neglected or bullied by the visitors. And I wont be fully around to watch them.

She's 6mnths old, cream and brown with a lovely behavior. This behavior is why I've been pondering about selling her all this while.

She has her vaccine records and vet card intact.

She needs 100% care and attention as I have managed to keep the hair straight and untangled.

Of a fact, puppies need to eliminate, but the only thing they know is "if I need to do it, I’ll do it". Same applies to other activities they partake in such as eating, sleeping, and exploring. The first responsibility of a dog owner is to set the rules and regulations for the dog to live by. You won’t blame a dog for eliminating on the sofa if you haven't set rules on when and where is appropriate to eliminate.

Steps to potty-training your puppy faster
Feed your pet regularly: Regular and timely feeding is much important to potty train your puppy. Every puppy is different. Some eliminate immediately after feeding and some, minutes after or hours. (Be sure to have a specific timing for feeding your puppy) One thing is important though, Do not free-feed your puppy. This is for two reasons, you puppy's elimination will be more at random and secondly, she will not necessarily see you as her food provider.

Confinement: A puppy needs to be confined as much as possible. She must have a reason for leaving her crate. Part of the rules you set. Being the "Leader of the Pack." Confinement can be in form of a cage of a crate, not too big so the puppy doesn’t eliminate on the other end and not too small either. Naturally, most dogs don’t like to eliminate where they sleep.
However, there is a maximum time you can confine a dog, depending on the age.
2 months old = 2 hours of confinement without a potty break
3 months old = 3 hours of confinement without a potty break
4 months old = 4 hours of confinement without a potty break
etc. - up to about 6 - 8 months of age.

Training and timing
When you have to let the dog out of her crate use a leash and take her to the designated area for elimination. the puppy only earns her freedom after proper elimination. Use words like “outside” when taking your dog outside. This will help train your dog faster as she associates freedom with elimination in the designated area. Using words in training is also helpful. this is done by using the words exactly when your puppy is doing her business. for example, if she is urinating, you can use the words "go potty" and if she's defecating "go poop". you can use your own words but make sure you praise her everytime she eliminates in the right place. puppies need to earn their freedom only by eliminating aproprately. the free time must be well supervised. NOTICE THE SIGNS! if she's uncomfortable, looking anxious, turning around, squating. these and more are signs you puppy wants to eliminate. the ultimate goal is to avoid mistakes by all means. Anytime there is a change in activity, such as waking, after eating, after playing, your puppy must be taken outside.

Praise
Your puppy deserves a lot of praises after eliminating in designated areas. This serves as a reward for being a good dog. Rubbing her nose, rubbing her head are ways you can praise your dog and using words like “good dog” “that’s nice”. You have to pick the words you’ll use constantly so your puppy gets associated with the word.

Accidents
All is not lost if your puppy eliminates indoors. use words like "angh angh" "no" "outside" then take the dog outside to finish her business. give alot of praise after she finishes outside.
You have to catch your puppy in the act to use this corrective training method.
Clean the areas where she eliminated indoors and spray with a perfumes to avoid the puppy going bac there to eliminate.
Consistency and patience is needed to properly train your puppies to live with you.
Never scold or punish your puppy for accidents

My dear friend apitch, thank you for your observation. I've actually been busy and have been away for a while. Only free on Sundays. I did a double post linkage cos I wanted to see if the rules changed on Nairaland. Normally when you post a short post with link, it is automatically removed and replaced with the full post or removed totally.

STARTING YOUR PUPPY OFF RIGHT

- Puppy Crate
- Feeding Bowls

Buying or Adopting a puppy less than 8 weeks is not advisable, except you have enough experience with handling puppies. Also ensure your puppy has had at least her first shot and ensure you follow up with your veterinarian.

Your Vet can prescribe a good puppy food for you, and will help your puppy through puppy-hood. Ensure you get a good and reliable Vet. Ask a friend who already has a dog or your Neighbor.

Training also starts immediately. Teach your new puppies what you like and don't like. Dogs learn to blend in your lifestyle if you always correct them on time. Puppies play-bite as part of growing up. This is why you need to get them chew toys to play with or they'll automatically turn your leg to a biting spot.

Do you have pets who has ticks? Its very disgusting seeing ticks on your lovely pets. There are many ways to get rid of these pests from your dog's skin. These incluse:


Manual Removal
Flea Collars
Chemical bathe


and so many other ways you'll prpbably find online.

Besides all this means mentioned above, giving your dog a bath alone can help you get rid of ticks on your dog.

How can i do this?

Difficulty: Easy


Get your dog into your bathtub or a large container deep enough to contain your dog.
Fill it up with water
Add your dog shampoo(preferrably a tick shampoo)
Immerse your dog in the water, of course making sure the head is above water as seen in the picture above.
Leave your dog in the water for 10-15minutes, by doing this youre drowning the ticks in water. while doing this you can check the ears and other parts thats not in the water for manual removal. make sure you drop all ticks in the water.
Take out your pet and clean her up in a towel.


Note: Depending on the Temperature, you may decide to warm up the water. but ensure its not hot. Just warm.



If a bathtub or container is unavailable


Wet the Dogs Fur with water. making sure every part is drenched.
Apply the Shampoo on your dog
Massage your pet's fur well as seen in the picture below


Leave for 10-15 minutes then Rinse off.

God put the tree in the garden knowing fully well that Adam and Eve would fall(eating the fruit)...There's no righteousness without sin...sin entered the world so that man would be tested...And when man passes this test his reward would be eternal life...There's a great plan that yhu and I can't understand now...So instead of asking questions that'll only confuse yhu further just live a good life so you'll go to heaven and then,yhu can ask God all the questions
