I've always wondered which is preferable to use to feed dog. I've used both in times past and I think the uncrushed is ok because the dog can pick strand by strand, but the uncrushed is equally good cos the dog can bite chunks and swallow.

Until some people decided to 'need' the truth but can't 'handle' the truth.

And some others can not argue maturely. I still tell people, apitch, arcbay, chucky234, smileysmiles, knyte, oluomoadebayo...Sometimes I argue with these people on nairaland because our views on issues are different. But that doesn't say we don't talk. We talk pretty well.

The fact that we don't share different views doesn't make us enemies! If you think I'm wrong, you have the Internet at your disposal. Scoop for more solid facts and prove me wrong. Not calling names and passing insults.

Lastly, if you can't handle the truth don't ask for it.

Magpies started this section on badmouthing. Everyone gathered and said all sorts about his dog. Does that make him an enemy of pets section? Or did that make him kill his dog?

Instead magpies is currently improving his kennel.

Wunmi590's first post about his dog had many funny comments. Still he never hated those people.

I think it's all about maturity and realizing that pets section isn't a public section. It's private to those who really know what their dog is worth.

Let's deal with scammers the former way we use to deal with them. Not calling them out on a different thread and calling them names.

Mods should please work with us.

Let's build a stronger pets section, and like someone said. We can get a pets association from this section. Nationwide.

I completely disagree with you. I think the story is very hilarious and well written. The only problem I have with the story is the concluding paragraph. It seems rushed and fraught with punctuation errors, hence making it hard to understand. Asides this, the story is very very funny. 7/10

just thought about sharing information about my experience of keeping multiple dogs at home and leading a pack.

this time i will focus on how they react to intruders, visitors and friends. (no aggression is tolerated in the pack is the ground rule...feeding is together)

first let me say i stylishly influenced and defined my pack by timing when a pup is brought home using the age, breed and temperament.

each individual in the pack has its own place in that social order. Without a leader and rules, a dog pack is confused, unstable and a constant conflict is inevitable.

Roonie...Alpha Male ..German sherpherd
Nikki....Aplha female ..Rottweiller
Nikkita...assistant to Alpha Female...Rottweiller
Mama...Calvary..South African Boerboel
Angel...cheer leader...Siberian Husky
Debbie..Omega...German sherpherd.

my dogs leave in my garage separated from the rest of the compound by a gate.
whenever someone approaches the gate, Debbie will start to bark seriously to wake all the dogs or get their attention.

Roonie who keeps the database of everybody will run to check to determine if the person is a member of the compound, visitor (new or constant).
Nikki and Nikitta (Rotts) will charge awaiting decision of Roonie to either come along to join the attack or back down
Mama will be ready waiting to see if the 3 of the front line defense dogs will need muscle assistance to combat the intruder.
angel will be howling and waiting for opportunity to run about the house..not interested in d attack.

Spending on a dog is no waste, in fact it teaches one to be responsible... One thing I've always advised people, if you have kids, u can get them a pup each and make it compulsory for them to be solely responsible for their feeding and upkeep, might be from their allowances and all. The essence of this is that it gives them a sense of responsibility, it teaches them to take charge of their wards... If they've learnt this at a young age and can take care of dogs this much, how much more when they start raising kids of their own?

The way you treat ur pet is definitely the way you'll treat ur kids when u start raising kids.. I'll never look at my spendings on dogs as spending a fortune, the same way we can't complain about the finances involved in raising our kids at home...

Of course all fingers ain't equal, but we can surely cut our coat according to our sizes.... It is unwise wanting to own a good breed without any regular source of income. There are several breeds with lower maintainance costs and all.
