vanbonattel:Buy and store cooking gas ?? Abeg o, make suffering no cause Nigerians to die before their time😂 |
Look at the useless charlatans ruling a country. They can’t even reason like human beings. Spit! |
Facts!!! What I find disturbing is that the writer was complaining bitterly that rice jumped from 10,000 to 23,000 and argued that Nigerians were facing terribly hard times. Now what would he say today? I just bought same 50kg of Gilaso rice at 68,000!!!! This country is going down the abyss and it will collapse completely if nothing urgent is done. |
ayokellany:You must be a child or a chronic bigot. What has this got to do with Igbo? Are yorubas any better? Spit! |
I read that Niger state governor has banned sale of food produce in wholesale. This same governor once muted the idea of controlling proceeds of electricity generated from Kainji and Shiroro dams. What right does a governor have to ban sale of foodstuffs in wholesale? Especially in a country facing food crises and other existential threats?! For those who may not have deciphered, this obnoxious policy is targeted at Southerners! It is the height of wickedness to enjoy oil and gas proceeds from the South free of charge only to place embargo on sale of foods grown in your own area. Nigeria is a free market and capitalist country and thus, people are supposed to be free to transact business within the country as they deem fit or profitable, as long as it’s legal. Food is already cheaper in the North due to proximity than South. So, is that advantage not good enough for them? It’s time for oil and gas producing states to go for broke and demand full resource control. You can’t freely enjoy what comes from another man’s land only to enjoy what comes from yours alone. That’s pure wickedness and witchcraft! |
Maobichek:“200 dollars for a building project”? Lol, he must be building a mud house. |
Andychinedu:Congrats. Have you gotten a teaching job yet? |
Eriokanmi:If people decide to start hiding dollars away from the banking system, it will further worsen the situation. Meanwhile, what happens to those that saved dollars and intend to travel abroad with it as POF, are they still going to force them to take naira? Nigeria’s economy is finally on the brink of total collapse. |
So sad!!! May her soul rest in perfect peace and may those she left behind find the fortitude to bear such irreparable loss. Nigeria is indeed a terrible place. |
Look at the foolish ones talking rubbish. So, Nigerians should keep their money in naira and watch their hard earned money become worthless? This man here probably has vast stash saved in dollars just like corrupt politicians but they want Nigerians to suffer alone. |
😂😂😂😂😂😂 |
Chai, see utter delusions and cowardice. A protest is happening in Niger state, northern Nigeria but this thing is lamenting about Biafra and some people. What has hunger and protests in Niger got to do with them? With people of low IQ like this, it’s no surprise why an empty character likeThiefnubu is ruling and destroying their lives. Spit! accordadoga22: |
LordBiden:Hahaha, so you’re not aware your tinubu is still paying subsidy? Based on current exchange rate and international oil price, fuel won’t be less than 1000 naira per liter. Dude has destroyed whatever is left of Nigeria. Make una Dey play sha. |
Lol, this is only the beginning. We are still in Genesis yet they’re crying blood, then I wonder what will happen when we get to Revelation 😂😂 |
This country is headed for total collapse. I don’t see any promising way out. The rot started from the north and like cancer it is fast spreading to the rest of the country. |
Hhansome:Let’s do our part by calling out such corrupt practices, you never can tell the change it might bring about. |
This racket has been going on because the authorities are probably not aware. So, the attention of Imo state police commissioner, POSSAP Secretariat and the Inspector of Police are needed over this shameful situation. |
Please Seun, nlfpmod, mynd44, oam4j, fergie001. I plead your indulgence to move this to front page and help make our society a better place. I’m also escalating to Twitter and other social media platforms. |
Below is my email… Dear Sir/Madam, I hope this email finds you well. On the 22/01/2024, I applied online for Police Clearance Certificate and paid the required fees accordingly. Unfortunately, there was a delay on the portal but when I reported the issue, it was swiftly resolved. Subsequently, I was prompted to proceed to my state police headquarters for biometrics. To my shock, when I got to the state CID in Owerri (situated at the government house), the person in charge requested that I should pay another 30,000 naira before they would commence with the biometrics. I told her that I have already paid online and was requested to come for biometrics capturing. She remained adamant. Please, I’m pleading that you use your good office to resolve this issue and call them to order. They’re really tarnishing the image of the institution despite the efforts you’re making at the headquarters. This is blatant corruption and there ought to be consequences. I humbly await your prompt response on this ugly situation. Regards, |
Corruption feeds on silence, thriving in a culture of complacency ~~ Anonymous Corruption breeds cynicism, eroding faith in institutions and the belief in a better society ~~ Anonymous. I applied for police clearance certificate online and was requested to pay for the necessary fees (about 30,000 naira) which I did. When I encountered a system delay, I wrote an email to the secretariat in Abuja, and they swiftly responded. I was excited at their professional conduct and prompt response to my email. Unfortunately, things took a different turn when I got to the Imo state CID situated at the state police headquarters within the government house, to conduct biometrics. I was directed to meet a lady who was in charge of biometrics. Then I was shocked when she demanded for another 30,000 naira payment. I immediately told her that I have already paid online and was only directed to come for biometrics capturing. Her countenance changed and she told me I must pay the fee or go look for inspector Ogbu**. I realized she wanted to frustrate me and I left. It is really saddening and distasteful that in this modern time, corruption still thrives in the open like this. No society can ever develop if corruption is allowed to become so endemic. I have written to POSSAP Secretariat, via the address below: Louis Edet House, Police Force Headquarters, Area 11, Garki, Abuja. Email: info@possap.gov.ng. |
Rolings:What has what he wrote got to do with Peter Obi? This sort of obsession that makes you people see Peter Obi in everything is quite shameful. |
I thought batidiots and those economic bandits claimed dollar was going to crash? Anyways, they've been saying the same thing since last year yet it's the naira that continue to crash badly. Foolish people! |
When this post was first made, things hasn't become so clear as it is now. But people with foresight will always predict outcomes successfully. With recent relocation of strategic federal establishments like CBN and FAAN to Lagos, while insurgents now make incursions into Abuja on a daily basis, the agenda becomes very vivid! |
Aside the catastrophic economic consequences on the economy of Kano and by extension, Northern Nigeria, the socio-cultural relationship will also be hampered severely. |
Niger republic almost completely bestride Nigeria's northern borders except a small fraction with Chad. Unfortunately, Chad is not an ECOWAS country and neither will Boko Haram and other insurgencies going on in that axis allow significant trade. In other words, the Sahel trade that is crucial for Kano's economy in particular and Northern Nigeria in general, has effectively ended! This trade has been a key factor in sustaining the economy of Kano/North for many centuries. Today, it has ended. No thanks to Tinubu's poor diplomacy, or was it on purpose to completely bring Northern Nigeria to its knees? |
I heard that Niger rep, Burkina Faso and Mali severing ties with ECOWAS will have far reaching implications. However, the most stunning outcome is the fact that Benin republic abandoned ECOWAS resolutions to strengthen ties with Niger rep and the other Sahel countries. What this means is that while Tinubu shut our borders with Niger, Benin republic smartly opened theirs to them! Niger rep may be a poor country, but the country now has crude oil, uranium and lignite they're currently exporting in huge volumes. Similarly, they're also importing massively. However, all these trade volumes are now COMPLETELY done via Benin republic!!! |
totit:In most states aside Lagos region and Rivers state, IGR is mostly gotten from civil servants tax deductions at source. Also, states with higher federal government allocation tend to have higher IGR because such states are able to employ more civil servants which leads to more tax deductions. This also applies to states that have more federal government establishments which leads to more tax than those without. Aside the above factors, states prioritize tax collection differently. A particular governor may pursue taxation aggressively, including taxing pepper and pure water sellers while another governor might decide to ignore. GDP is a reliable way to guage productivity/output, not IGR. |
