Kylekent59:Brother, Yoruba are not the problem of this country. It is people that choose backwardness over progress that are the problem. You find them inevery tribe, selling their birthright for a mesh of porridge! |
There's everything wrong in snooping through somebody else's items without permission! |
5thElement:I always appreciate dedication whenever I see irrespective of how crass content may be. I am surprised you call us small children of 1999 to 2000 and yet chose to start your long list of Nigeria's woes from 1999. Is that when you became able to comprehend your environment? Like you were maybe 10 or 11 then? Well, for your information, I have been around much longer. Obasanjo's emergence with the advent of democracy was one of the best things that happened to Nigeria. Coming from the dark days of successive military regimes, PDP gave us the best we could have at that time. As a detribalised Nigerian, Obasanjo was able to garner feelings of trust and togetherness among Nigerians. When some people talk about pdp looting, I smh and lol. Since the second republic up to 1999, I make bold to say that pdp was the least looter we had among all the governments. IBB and Abacha's govts looted too. Much more than pdp. Abdusalam's government looted too. Now you wanna claim pdp is the cause of all Nigeria's problem. Obasanjo was God's gift to Nigeria! Twice, he guided this country in democracy. I personally would not have minded an Obj 3rd term but he was democractic enough to respect the wish of the Nigerian people. Your myopism makes you list items you have no indepth knowledge about as Obj's failings. Since Obj's blueprint on power, has any other govt made any significant improvement? The present apc govt is even the worst performing in terms of power sector reforms. Nothing radically new whatsoever! I salute Obasanjo's courage in calling out Buhari. This govt is not doing enough to make everyone feel among, starting with Buhari's 97-5% speech. The economy is in the throes of contraction. Anyone that supports the present govt to continue in their present policy is doing so only for very sectional and narrow interests. Never for the common good. Obj is not such a person. A man of integrity and fairness, he would not sell his convictions for porridge! I perfectly understand Obj's stance on Atiku because as a Nigerian, I know Atiku is not the best Nigerian out there but in the interest of the continued unity and progress of Nigeria, Atiku is a better choice than Buhari. Finally, let me remind you that you should remember to always be courteous and respect your elders. Obj is not your age mate both in years and achievements. Do not get carried away by the cover of anonimity and display an unacceptable attitude. Show some gratitude to God for blessing Nigeria with Obasanjo. Thank you for your time. |
5thElement:Your careless way of talking tells a lot about you. You're obviously not to be taken too seriously. |
5thElement:It's only ingrates that do not value Obasanjo's contribution to democracy and development in Nigeria. |

What is there to life that you'll give up for Christ? The whole of all these is not as real as Jesus! |
In my last discourse on wildlife here on NL, I talked about snake bites using the wildlife wizkid's 'Adael the Creature Teachers' video. (check that out: https://www.nairaland.com/4944238/some-education-dealing-snake-bites). Today Adael tells us about crocodiles. I was once on a visit to an acquaintance in the Lekki Area of Lagos State. Standing on the balcony overlooking the swamp behind their house, I saw a live crocodile! I was shell shocked that a crocodile could dwell so close to me. Imagine I was exploring the swamp! Crocodiles are one of the most successful members of the family reptilia. They are animals we need to know and avoid or approach with due caution. https://i.imgur.com/OVP4I9l_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium 1. Avoid Contact If you ever see a crocodile, avoid it. They could be so camouflaged at times, you may not know they are there. If you are in places where they might dwell, don't go too close to the water or swim in it to reduce the likelihood of an attack. This is especially so in mangrove and swamps. There are saltwater and freshwater crocodiles. 2. Be Aggressive When Attacked Their jaws can only move up and down. To swallow or get a better grip, they must temporarily open their jaws. This is the time to pull away if your body part has been gripped in the jaw of a crocodile. Be aggressive. Never allow the crocodile to drag you or whatever you want to rescue from its jaw into the water! https://i.imgur.com/XekZZ5i_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium 3. Roll With The Crocodile When a crocodile grabs you and tries a deathroll with you, roll in its direction as shown in the picture below. It can prevent the grabbed body part from being ripped off your body. You can easily receive great bodily harm to whatever part of you is caught in the animal's jaws if you don't roll with them. https://i.imgur.com/Zstkbny_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium 4. Once Released, Run! Once the animal releases you, get away. The death roll uses up a lot of energy and stamina in a crocodile or alligator, and leaves them virtually immobilized while they try to regain all this back. A couple of consecutive rolls will probably cause the animal to release you, giving you time to escape. https://i.imgur.com/7QepZLj_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium 5. Seek Medical Attention Seek medical help. Even if you escape, you're not totally out of the woods yet. Crocodiles are known to have one of the strongest bite forces on the planet and can also contain dangerous bacteria in their mouths. It is important to reach medical attention as soon as possible. https://i.imgur.com/1OmtaBT_d.jpg?maxwidth=640&shape=thumb&fidelity=medium Photo credit: Imgur |
What a weak attempt at defending the obviously racist first picture. |

Getintouch2004:Na the video I watch. The boy narrating did not talk about head. Only the photo did and he did not draw the photo. Watch the video and hear. |
geezyk:The illustrator talked about the type of bite, not the head shape. Or does the mamba bite like a non-venomous snake? |
Snake bites are one of the deadliest form of accidents that occur in the tropics. It is important we know how to differentiate poisonous from non poisonous snakes. Knowing if the snake that bit someone is poisonous or not could be the difference between life and death. This photo tells how to differentiate between the bites of both. It is also necessary a person with a snake bite does not panic. Tie the affected area to reduce blood flow from the area to the heart and seek immediate medical attention. Sucking out the poison could be dangerous! The Cobra is one poisonous snake that is found in Africa and Asia. In this short clip, Adael the Creature Teacher, a wildlife wizkid who is just 11 years old tells us more about snakes. Watch attentively. You might just learn a fact or two you could use to save a life someday. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7PGtagSmaA
