Am from the west but honestly i would have been surprised if Atiku had pick his VP candidate from SW. He has done what is right and i can assure the Easterners that in this battle, You will never walk alone. Atiku/Obi ticket is not to redeem the east alone but Nigeria. East deserves this more than the West because if not for the SE/SS there wont be any PDP again in the first place.

When I'm telling my Igbo brothers that Yorubas are the most progressive Nigerians, they would be throwing insults up and down! God bless you my true brother from the West!

Unless we are deceiving ourselves, we know that NE and NC are gone for Buhari.

We are also aware in the last election, Northern Christians in NW, Shia moslems, voted massively for Buhari, but going by current dynamics, we know that can't happen again coupled with the fact that part of Zamfara, Kano, Sokoto, Kaduna all in SW are gone for Buhari.

We are also aware that SW is on a lock down for Buhari even if PDP fields Awolowo, the same way SE/SS are on lock down for PDP.

We also know that even though SW is APC, there are sizable number of SE/SS currently living in SW but the same cannot be said of SW in SE/SS. This is reflected in 2015 election were APC won SW with 500k votes while PDP won Anambra with 600k votes.

So strategically and in the light of the above, a SE APC is the best viable option for APC now.

If Buhari wants to return, he should osinbanjo since SW would still vote for him and pick a SE VP to split PDP's chances in SE.

I prefer he sticks with Osibanjo. If he loses, Osibanjo goes home repectably to be fielded as presidential candidate in due time. A lot of Nigerian youths have a high regard for the VP. We would be his campaign organisation in the future. Buhari picking a SE VP would complicate the progress we are about experiencing!

I would like to present my contribution as simple and understandable as it can be but i still fear some concepts i might use might not be easily understandable but i will give it a try. First of all are you familiar the the concept of paradoxes? i personally call them Eternal Cycles. On an earlier thread of mine i talked about paradoxes as being ideas or Questions that doesn't belong to our normal default 3 Dimensional realm of understanding and as such makes them unable to be grasped by the human mind. i also said "In Eternal cycles, the two Parent forces of life meet and everything at this state is considered One with Each other. With being said, I personally believe The key to understanding this question is Understanding paradoxes.

In Our understanding of Reality, Everything is grounded on duality, Opposites or Polarity.

Yes or No
Good or Bad
Wrong or Right
Light or darkness..e.t.c.

But what if there is a State that Transcends this type of reality? What if there is a state where all is neutral.. Where the two polarities become One.. Where it is possible to BE and also NOT BE?... Sorry to drag your mind into this weird Zone but this is the territory of the Question you're asking. The concept of Destiny is a paradox, just as the concept of God and Eternity are also paradoxes. You just can't understand them with the human Reality of Duality and Polarity.

I'm not an economist, but I understand the meaning of Budget Estimate and Planning. What we have above is akin to two women, house wives living in the same estate under the same extenuating circumstance, whose husbands are colleagues of the same company on the same salaries.
These men give their wives twenty thousand naira and forty thousand naira monthly respectively. Yet the lady who receives 20,000 naira as family upkeep has better groomed home, better fed children, well dressed children, happier husband and a homestead with sounds of joy and happiness unlike the other family.
What you have under this present government is that lots of money is being diverted into private pockets via companies fronting for government officials and officially endorsed by the government.
This is the reason we see lots of movement but no progress. In reality, the movement we see is a routine effort to maintain status quo for official looting to continue. That's why no single high profile government official will be officially reprimanded talk less prosecuted by the EFCC.
Look again at the 2017 Budget figure, then convert the more than $25 Billion cornered (we are not little children) through companies fronting for Buhari's cronies.
