Lolz, it is only one man that can remove Akpabio, and that person is solely Tinubu.

We have a president who is so powerful and know how to use power to his advantage. From my personal assessment of his political journey, that man is not someone you can easily remove through ballots. Same with Atiku, Kwankwaso or sule Lamido, you can't possibly remove these men through ballots.
It is not about having a powerful President but about having a country where the minority have a say.

The book written by IBB revealed so many hidden things. It revealed most of the confusion I have about Obasanjo's personality. In Nigeria, Atiku as Vice president was more powerful than Jonathan as a President. Jonathan as Vice President and Osinbajo as Vice President are just the same just like P.A to President and nothing more.

Under Shagari, Umaru Dikko and Senator Uba Ahmed were more powerful than Alex Ekwueme the VP. Even under Buhari there were people that are more powerful than Osinbajo.

The IBB Book revealed something that has confused me for years. That is why I salute the Courage of Prof Wole Soyinka and Gen Alani Akinrinade but they are now very old.

He's actually not the first SP from the South South. There was a Joseph Wayas.
Joseph Wayas was a figurehead Senate President under Shagari. Real political analysis is beyond nairaland.

Also, as at that time there was nothing like South South. We just have Cross River State.

The first Senate President from South South is Senator Akpabio

Don't mind them. They are confused. They are 99% IBOS. OBASEKI himself will support what the governor said. The governor made the remark because of the award of the Asaba - Benin road repairs / reconstruction.

I have been asking people on nairaland and other Social Media and in different fora to tell me the government that has done so much infrastructural development within 18 months of assumption of office in the history of Nigeria, till date, nobody has answered even in fora where we have many men of high Intellect and strong character and exposure but none, rather they attributed Tinubu's stride to his long years in politics which they counted as being in power and refused to accept the 18 months duration in power.

I travelled a lot. Benin to Asaba is a very bad road. Federal roads in Benin are very bad. It got to a level, OBASEKI on big paid Advertisement Boards put "This is a Federal Government Road". He puts it strategically on major very critical busy roads that are bad. In 2023 when I travelled to Warri , there were so many sections of the road after Benin that were very bad also.

It is now under Tinubu government they want everything fixed. Why are they now scrambling for projects to be done everywhere? Did they leave money for Tinubu government? No. Buhari also did not meet money and it took almost 18 months before projects start to pick. It was only Yaradua/Jonathan that met money and robust economy, yet , this kind of Projects carnival never happened in their first 18 months.

Any south south man that will become a leader in this country in future without declaring state of emergency in lagos states for one year,God will never forgive such a south south leader.
You are an IBO and not South South. In Lagos whenever there is Crisis and people start to bomb Ships at Apapa Ports, NNPC Jetties and DANGOTE Refinery and petrochemicals, then, they should declare the State of Emergency. Even, before it gets to that level, whenever unknown gunmen declare sit -at-home on Mondays and force people going about their businesses including your brothers at Alaba, Aspamda, Computer Village and numerous other people going to Seaports, Airports, Banks from going to work, they should declare State of Emergency. The above conditions are declaration of War. They should declare State of Emergency.

The civil society groups accused the Federal Government of using the declaration as a political weapon rather than addressing the underlying causes of the crisis.

That's the key point. Learn to read and understand and not to attack.
What are the underlying causes?

Baba Oyedepo defines "Covenant as an agreement between two parties based on well defined terms on both sides and sealed with an OATH ". What was the Covenant (agreements) between Wike and FUBARA before he was made a governor? Who broke the Covenant? This is the reason OBASANJO supported ADEDIBU against LADOJA as governor and LADOJA was impeached.

In Anambra, we have the cases of Mbadiniju and Emeka Offor, we also have Chris Ngige and Andy Uba. OBASANJO supported Andy Uba.

I was at that Altar also. I OVERTURNED everything he said secretly in my mind. He said it is a scam, he said so many things before the Altar. I was not surprised, I travel a lot . From ONITSHA, Awka, Enugu, Owerri to Aba and Portharcourt, it is the same, they said it is a scam. On nairaland, they made the highest noise, you and your brothers said it was a scam. Where is the old Rivers State House of Assembly building? Was it demolished? Was it destroyed? Is it the Clerk of the Assembly and the Assembly Service Commission that approved the reconstruction with the knowledge and approval of the Speaker? These are the questions the PATITO'S GANG should answer.

With their level of intellect and exposure they should be able to provide answers to why a sitting Parliament building is being rebuilt.

Let's see
Instead of Atiku, an elder statesman and others to play politics, it would have been better for them to strategize on how to provide gas supply to AKK gas pipeline and crude oil to Kaduna Refinery from the Crude and Gas reserves in the North. The Ijaws will still blowup pipelines in future if judgement delivered by Supreme Court did not go their way. Hope they are getting ready? They should also remember this is not 1993.

Militants and militancy cannot determine the course of Law. Militants cannot determine the execution of Supreme Court Judgement. Militants cannot determine the resolutions of National or State Assembly. If Emergency rule is not declared and the RSHA impeached the Governor, militants cannot resist the impeachment. There is a Rule of Law. Let me shock you, if Fubara is impeached, the Ijaws will blow up critical oil infrastructure. My fear is the military men that would lose their lives along the creek while trying to contend with the militants. During Obasanjo & during Yaradua regime I lost over 20 people (Army & Navy) and several others severely wounded while fighting along the creek.

You don't have to wait for damages before action is taken. They expect full blown crisis before State of Emergency is declared. If it happens, it will not be in their own interest. The killing of the Battalion Commander, his assistant and other officers and men in Warri was a pointer to something.

There was no bombing of national assets and no threat of burning down the state and country by indegenes or politicians. There was no burning of the Assembly. When the President called them to order, they complied, but when the President mediated in Rivers crisis, he was called different unprintable names.

Lastly, Tinubu’s SoR is to protect Fubara from impeachment. If not for the Size, Fubara would have been impeached overnight in one beer parlour since he has born down the Stare Assembly complex. So Tinubu actually checkmated the Assembly by the SoE which had stopped the planned impeachment. Now, Fubara can come back in 6 months, but if Tinubu has waited for about 48 hours, the kindergarten governor would have been impeached and he will not have the opportunity of coming back in 6 months which Tinubu just granted him.

Utomi and his gang are so dumb
They are so dumb. Reuben Abati is one of them. PATITO's GANG as his program on TV was called over a decade ago was nothing but a program created to boost his ego and advertise the gang members for juicy contracts and government appointment. I stopped watching the program when from Insiders I learned that the Bank (Platinum Bank) where he was the Chairman was full of corruption and almost dead. Two years later, the bank died. Are they still doing the program (PATITO'S GANG) on TV?

So, with his level of intelligence, the only comparison he can make is the ongoing speakership tussle at Lagos State House of Assembly. What concerns speakership tussle with bombing of Ships at Apapa ports , NNPC Jetties and DANGOTE Refineries. As a professor he should know the differences between internal party wranglings and destruction of critical national assets.

He said the IJAWS have bombed installations before without declaration of State of Emergency. He doesn't know anything about warfare or combat operations I would have explained the differences between uncoordinated bombings that span Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta with minor events in AkwaIbom, Edo and Ondo and provocative threats backup with actions that have precedents. So, the Prof wants full time bombings to start before declaration of state of emergency? Which thesis is that in War courses?

In the history of Nigeria, no government has ever done the kind of renovation and reconstruction of roads within 18 months of assumption of office as it is being done by Umahi under Tinubu government, not even Yaradua / Jonathan that inherited OBASANJO wealth.

Attached are some Coastal Highway roads in Africa downloaded from Facebook when this project started. We shall have one in Nigeria wether you like it or not.

People know the economic impact of that road. Jonathan government had wanted to start the Coastal Railway project in his second term but he lost election. All over the world, coastal highways bring enormous development.

Nearly all the people that are complaining are doing so out of envy. Imagine the attached pictures. I have 10 other coastal highway pictures. In the next 10 years, our road would be like one of them.

Modified; some are saying Fubara wrote to the Assembly members a letter asking for the budget presentation but that was a lie. The letter only existed on social media as no copy of the letter was received in person by the Assembly. Even when there's a communication to present the budget, you have to wait for a feedback from the Assembly on a suitable date for the Presentation. You don't just walk into somebody's residence without invitation after you had previously demolished the Assembly complex meant for the purpose.

Kidnapping for ransom was started by the militants. It was after the Amnesty program by the Yaradua government and the settlement of ODI invasion by Jonathan that Boko Haram gained momentum. Senator Ali Ndume as at that time said Boko Haram needs amnesty like the Niger Delta militant. That was Boko Haram before integration into ISWAP and radicalization by Al-qeda and groups.

I refrained from making statement when I read Atiku's statement. Atiku made statement that Tinubu made the militants to return to the creek after Yaradua settled them. The death of the Battalion Commander, his assistant and other soldiers at Warri revealed a lot of things. Also, the divestment of MNOC because of safety of their investment and men in difficult challenging terrain means a lot.

Constituted authority was not destroyed in Edo under Obaseki and in Rivers under Fubara when Parliament was not allowed to function but it was when the governor and the Parliament were suspended that constituted authority was disrupted.

Atiku didn't realize that pipelines and oil installations would still be blown and vandalized in future whenever the Ijaws don't have their way. Therefore, it is not making political statement that matters but looking into the future. The Ajaokuta Kaduna, Kano Gas Pipeline, Warri to Kaduna oil pipeline, WAGP and others are under threats. It was during Goodluck Jonathan's government he put his full BioData on Wikipedia, his village on the Ondo State Riverine area, the IJAW sect, his ancestors, their gods, etc. Thank God, I saved it in Archive. During his travail under Buhari, they removed it and placed the current one because Ondo Women plan to demonstrate for his release.

The above shows people in opposition always have interest personal to them.

Stop them before they stop you. Kill them before they kill you. The President only needs simple majority and not 2/3 majority in emergency situation to declare State of Emergency. Before then, provocative threats backup with actions that have precedents and which have huge impacts on the economy of the nation is a declaration of WAR. In Warfare Studies, there are different classes of Warfare. PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFARE is a great study. RUSSIA go to War over an intention of UKRAINE (NATO).

National Assembly don't to have wait until Trans Niger Gas Pipeline is completely burned down and all other key strategically located infrastructure is brought down. Militants cannot determine the cause or course of judgement delivered by Supreme Court. Militants cannot determine judgement to be delivered by Supreme Court. The major difference between Animals and Human beings is the Rule of Law. You cannot use militancy to subjugate or subdue Court Judgement.

The opposition is only playing with fire. The baby lion you failed to kill today will finally grow up to kill you tomorrow.

Where are the Fubara's boys that finally pushed him out of the power by blowing up oil pipelines?
There are lots of problems on ground. What I observed is different from the noises of political losers and noisemakers. At Kogi when Kogi State demanded for accumulated royalties and 10% ownership of Obajana Cemetery Factory, the youths attacked that factory, burned trucks and stopped production. I observed that in my place where we have IBESHE plant and Lafarge (Elephant Cement), we don't have youths or people who can carry out militant operations against unfavorable dealings or exploitations.

The kidnapping for ransom was started by the militants.

He said Tinubu wasted all the efforts made by Yaradua to solve the militants problem. I wept bitterly because people like Atiku did not know there is a problem on ground.

The MNOC divested their portfolios in Nigeria because of these threats.

Dele Momodu is now a gossip columnist? How low can a man go?
Hope he is taking care of his health. He needs to do more exercise to burn excess fat and keep fit.

Showing pictures of a Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) with a political appointee is now a big deal to Dele Momodu. He should do an OVATION publication on Wike.

Elder Bode George, no dey allow your old age to dey disrupt your thinking

FG was very clever to have declared the state of emergency before the impeachment as the impeachment could have worsen things
He is just being political. He was an Engineer in the Navy and not in the mainstream Executive Corps (Division). At his age, I don't expect him to make statement at this time. Gen Olanrewaju can never make such statement. Rtd Commodore Bode George should have allowed Admiral (former CNS) to fully resume responsibility and monitor events before speaking.

Cronyism, especially with foreign groups who will just take the money out the country is nothing to celebrate..

He could have chosen native contractors like the company that successfully delivered the Oshodi terminal. Nope Corrupt Tinubu awarded it to the Chagoury, so he could get a kickback.. smh
You don't know the differences between the company that built Oshodi terminal and HITECH / ITB / C & C Consortium? The company that built Oshodi terminal will not even say what you have said. Ambode that gave the job to the contractor will not even say this. It is like AMBODE calling PLANET Projects to reclaim BAR BEACH land from Atlantic Ocean? Is that possible? Never.

PLANET Projects was given terminal to build in Abuja last year. FG or Wike will not call ITB to come and build that terminal.

The most suitable company for Tincan and Apapa Port projects is HITECH / ITB Consortium. They can be held accountable for their delivery and by their deliverables.

Mind you, HITECH / ITB Nigeria is not a foreign company. I am eagerly awaiting the project results. It shall manifest against all odds by Grace of God

Hailing Abiodun now that he is in power and no one is looking into the deal details.
Amosun may have had his reasons for denying Dangote then.
It may have been the land acquisition process or compensation or even the dues and fees to be paid to the government, nobody for now can tell.
But let it not be that tomorrow communities in Ogun state would start agitating on how Abiodun reaped them off and the goverment or that he granted Dangote unusually favourable terms in exchange for a stake in the cement factory
I disagree with you. Since AMOSUN denied DANGOTE from building his Refinery what have the communities done with their land? Since AMOSUN prevented the Itori Cement plant what has the community done with the land? Since AMOSUN terminated and reawarded the Chinese Contract at Free Trade Zone what has happened?

It could have been in Rivers state, but Fubara and Wike are busy fighting each other.

The governor of Akwa Ibom is busy building an 18-story skyscraper in Lagos state at the expense of the Ibom deep sea port.

Since Donald Duke left Cross River State, there has been no visionary leadership in Calabar to build the deep-sea port.
You are not exposed enough or intelligent enough to know some of the things you mentioned here.

We have what is called Strength, Weakness, Opportunities Triangle. Chief Louis Philip Ojukwu the father of Ikemba of Nnewi, an accomplished businessman at very early age built the Headquarters of his trading business in Apapa Port Complex (Nnewi Building). He could have done that at ABONEMA port in Portharcourt or Warri or Sapele . DANGOTE will build his business where international trade and coordination would be easy for him.

BUA is already in AkwaIbom. APM has terminal at Onne Port.

You look at the Markets and mobility. Trades along Economic Community of Central Africa States (ECCAS) favour Calabar and AkwaIbom ports. Local Intra regional business favours Portharcourt port.

Trades and Shipping along Lagos ports, Cotonou port, Lome port, GHANA Seaports, Cote D'Ivoire ports and ECOWAS states favour Western ports.
