Free2Fly:You are liar. It started under Jonathan. Yaradua started it systemically and gradually but he couldn't finish because of sickness. Jonathan started it. It led to a very tough fight between OBASANJO and Chief Edwin Clark. Chief OBASANJO hardly make comments on nepotism or tribal issues. Under Jonathan, OBASANJO complained bitterly about lopsided appointments. There was an open letter he wrote about it . Chief Edwin Clark replied him on several pages of Newspapers. It became heated argument. Chief Edwin Clark on Newspapers listed appointments breakdown hiding and removing key sectors, despite that, it was widely visible. |
004gist:Ngozi Okonjo Iweala that travelled down from US to testified against Obasanjo during the Ndi Elumelu power Sector probe of the House of Representatives under Yaradua but she fled Nigeria before Jonathan handed over power on May 29, 2015 and refused to answer questions on Finance Ministry to Buhari government. I don't know who financed her trip to Nigeria to testify against OBASANJO during the probe. Obasanjo removed her as Minister of Finance and moved her to Foreign Affairs towards the end of his administration. Yaradua government was against OBASANJO. The IBOS were so excited. I was in Abuja that time. I witnessed Patricia Etteh saga, Professor Nike Grange and Senator Iyabo OBASANJO saga. I never expected her to testify at that Power Sector probe. |
004gist:The IBOS are Nigerians now when a Yoruba woman claimed her identification with Nigeria is only with her Biological roots. Everybody knows what she says is the same as the thoughts, behavior and confessions of the IBOS as BIAFRANS but because she mentioned YORUBA, she has stepped on IBOS ego. Perhaps, if YORUBA leave Nigeria, the IBOS would forget BIAFRA and remain Nigerians. She has stepped on the egos and spirit of the IBOS with her statement. Though, I did not support her response to VP Shettima, she should have kept quiet. Her statement, unknown to her is not directed to VP Shettima. There are scenarios that make IBOS remember they are Nigerians and not Biafra and this is one of them. 98% of people that will condemn her for this statement will be IBOS as Northerners have no time for Social Media discussion. She should have kept quiet rather than replying VP. Being a Yoruba transcend more than Nigeria. Some time ago during Buhari presidency, a King from Accra Ghana led Native people and Chiefs to Ooni of IFE to pay homage in recognition of their root to Ife. |

chicfarmer:That is one of the reasons DANGOTE does not want to release his price to the public. He is afraid of Air Peace Scenario where international airlines reduce their prices. PMS have different variants and qualities. I know foreign refineries are ready to compete with our local refineries. One thing that is being hidden from Nigerians is the ability of DANGOTE Refinery to meet local demand. If DANGOTE cannot meet local demand, it is impossible for regulator to ban importation. DANGOTE PMS quality will be higher than the imported pms at lower price but what matters to Oil marketers and Nigerians is the availability of PMS. Competition will continue to regulate PMS price and that is the beauty of deregulation. Tinubu has tried against all odds. |
mcdon024:You are so excited to report the National Grid collapse. I have to start from Chief Bola Ige for reference purpose. When Obasanjo became President in 1999, one of his focal developmental agenda was stable electricity for 24 hours economy. He needed a trusted person at Power and Mines because of Electricity and Steel (Ajaokuta). He made Bola Ige the Minister overseeing these portfolios. Within months, we experienced Grid collapse nearly weekly, there is hardly a month without Grid collapse. This prompted Afenifere and South West leaders of thought who suspected sabotage to advise Bola Ige to resign and return home. To prevent this, Obasanjo made him Minister of Justice. That was the end. The present frequent Grid collapse is happening at a time of significant improvement in power supply. We may attribute it to overload of old and overstressed power infrastructure. It is good it is happening at a time Solar Technologies have improved tremendously. I know of some hotels and factories in Lagos that run purely on Solar. The cost of implementation is huge especially that of high capacity Lithium batteries but it works. Each State would be forced to generate electricity also. I cannot rule out sabotage. The power supply has improved. High cost of fuel has killed Small and medium domestic generator business. The reason for sabotage under Bola Ige as Minister of power cannot be totally ruled out but I doubt it. I believed it is dilapidated and overstressed power infrastructure. |
mcdon024:You are so excited. Bola Ige was Minister of Mines and Power in 1999. I will post what somebody posted about Bola Ige on Wikipedia below. It may be modified tomorrow. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bola_Ige Following the restoration of democracy in 1999, Ige sought the nomination of the Alliance for Democracy party as a presidential candidate, but was rejected. President Obasanjo appointed Ige as minister of Mines and Power (1999–2000).[11] He was not able to make significant improvements to service provided by the monopolistic National Electric Power Authority (NEPA).[12] He then became Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (2000–2001).[4] In September 2001, Ige said that the Federal government had initiated a program to re-arrange and consolidate the laws of the Federation, publish them in digital form, and make them available on the website of his ministry.[13] He campaigned ardently against the imposition of the Sharia law in the northern states of Nigeria.[1] In November 2001, he said that the Federal government would not allow the Sokoto State government to execute the judgement of a verdict passed by a Gwadabawa sharia court to stone a woman, Safiya Hussaini to death for committing adultery.[14] |
EmperorCaesar:You got it right. I spent 6 years in the University with them several years ago, anybody that attended University in their Zone will not bother himself about whatever comment he is making. That is the reason Ghanaians sealed up their shops in Accra about two years ago they cried to Nigeria to help them. If not for brotherly cooperations between Nigeria and Ghana and long time relationship that existed between Ghana people and South West Nigeria , Ghanaians would have sent them parking. He is an elder brother to Osita Chidoka who resigned from PDP because APC won Edo State. |
sofeo:There is nothing bad in France or America having their base in Nigeria. It is good the International Communities and former Colonial Masters are seeing the problems they created with Nigeria. I believe their Defence Attachee and Ambassadors are sending reports home. In future, what is happening now will help the International Communities in taking decision on Nigeria. As it is now, the Southern Nigeria is affected by whatever decision the North is taking because of their brothers in Niger, Chad, Sudan, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Guinea Bissau and Somalia. The enemies of their brothers must be the enemies of the entire Nigeria. For how long will this continue? Early in the year they alerted us that America is planning to shift their base from some of these countries to Nigeria. They opposed it. Now, they mentioned France. So, Nigeria must pick enemity with the enemies of their brothers. There are signs about the future of Nigeria. It is very difficult for Nigeria to develop the way it is amalgamated and structured. The Tax Reform Bill is still there. |
Stilloracle:You just gave one valid point unknowingly. While running him down you unintentionally revealed that he has been a Born Again Christian and a member of Campus Christian Fellowship. He also preached in the Campus. That is a very good revelation. That revelation is more important to the Body of Christ. Membership of Campus Christian Fellowship and preaching in the Campus shows he did not become a pastor because of lavish lifestyle o rich pastors. Thanks |
12.*Kogi*, the "Conference" State is the meeting point of the two iconic rivers that traversed the centre of Nigeria. These are the Niger and Benue. They met at Lokoja, the Kogi state capital, before journeying to the Niger Delta region and, eventually, the Atlantic Ocean. This made the state rich on fisheries and agriculture. Palm oil production has been a huge business in Eastern Kogi. There is a huge deposit of coal in the Ankpa zone, now being illegally mined. Kogi state is the site of the largest steel company in Sub-Saharan, Africa, at Ajaokuta. The Dangote Cement factory at Obajana is one of Nigeria's biggest cement production ventures. There is the Okene handwoven cloth that can compete with the Ghana "kente" even in the international market. A more appropriate policy measure will leverage enormous economic transformation. 13.*Kwara state* has the benefit of being a meeting point of culture and tradition. The western educational achievements of the South West have impacted the area positively, including entrepreneurial spirits. The Adedoyins and Folawiyos, in the realm of business, the Saraki and AbdulRazak as technocrats and professionals have provided impetus for the Kwara State development. Kwara also has enormous agricultural potential with the Bachita Sugar Company, Jebba Paper Mills, and Shonga Farm project as testaments. Like most states in the North, a little more political willpower will bring about huge changes for the better. With a powerful man of God from Omu-Aran, Bishop Oyadepo, the General Overseer Oyadepo of the Living Faith Church International (Winners) to also provide spiritual guide 14.*Kebbi State* qualifies as a food basket and agricultural hub, too. The Kebbi rice and onions are well known across the country. Buhari's Anchor Borrowers programme was launched in the state. The Alero zone in Kebbi State is the largest producer of onions in Nigeria and indeed West Africa. The Yawuri-Zuru axis is a maize and other grains production zone. The prowess of Kebbi State attracted the attention of the current government and the immediate past one to use the state as a model for the federal government's rice initiative. The towns of Jega and Kamba are also well-known commercial centres outside Nigeria. The former arguably holds the record for housing the largest concentration of businessmen outside in the defunct Sokoto state. Kamba border market and Customs Point promote international trade with both republics of Benin and Niger. The Argungu fishing festival remains one of the premier tourist events as well. A modicum of honest reform and political willpower will make a huge difference in moving the state forward. 15.*Zamfa State* has been in the news for both its economy and security challenges. Gusau, the state capital, was a major commercial and industrial centre as far back as the time of Sardauna, Sir Ahmadu Bello, the premier of the old Northern Nigeria. The Nigerian Railways western-line passed through Gusau to Kaura Namoda, which stimulated enormous commercial activities that impacted the local economy for decades. Such industries like the famous Zamfara textile, Gusau oil mills, and hides and skin made Zamfara tick. Currently, the state ranks among top producers of gold in Nigeria, the bulk of which is mined illegally. The security challenges in the state and the region are believed to be partially fuelled by illegal mining activities. A little bid of streamlining and containment could go a long way in changing the economic fortunes of the state. 16.*Sokoto state* may be facing ecological challenges, but agriculture and livestock still thrive well well. The efficacy of the Rima Basin Development Authority is there to be replicated. The Basin is also believed to harbour crude oil. There is also a huge deposit of gypsum that influenced the establishment of the first cement company in the North there, namely the Cement Company of Northern Nigeria in the Kalambaina area. Like its other fourteen counterparts in the North, with international borders, Sokoto State shares extensive one with Niger Republic. Millions of naira worth of goods and services are being traded daily with little order and accountability. A lot of income could be harnessed given the right policy environment and sincerity of purpose at all levels. 17.*Katsina state* state has two distinct ecological zones that support different types of agricultural activities. The Funtua zone is the wetter part where large-scale farming thrives well established during the heyday of cotton production. The ..... textiles impacted the local economy enormously. The central and northern tips of Katsina are semi-arid, where livestock farming is a big vocation. A steel rolling mill was established in Katsina in the early 80s, though moribund now. Katsina state has long border with Niger Republic to the north, with Jibia and Mai'adua being the most vibrant crossings. The border economy contributes positively to the state's economy but for the challenges of accountability. Incidentally, Katsina is the only state in the North that produced two former heads of state and a second in command, namely, Buhari, Umaru 'Yar Adua, and Shehu MusaYar Adua respectively. The Katsina College equally produced most of the early technocrats that ruled the North under the Sardauna. These achievements and historical experiences should ordinarily spur Katsina forward, especially with the necessary strategies in place. 18.*Jigawa state* shares a similar ecology outlook with Katsina. It has enormous rains in the south around Birnin Kudu and a dry Sahel around Kazaure, Maigatari, Hadeja, and Gumel. Livestock thrives well in the latter, while arable farming is a big business in the former zone. Two former governors of Jigawa, namely Saminu Turaki and Sule Lamido, introduced two novel projects that have the potential to transform the economy of the state but somehow got bogged down. The rain harvesting programme and an ICT system were initiated by Turaki. The two, though, ahead of their time in the Nigerian context but are money spinners globally. Lamido introduced early maturing varieties of date palm. Jigawa state today remains one of the biggest producers of date (dabino) in the country, among other agricultural outputs. With a more appropriate policy framework, the state can transform itself in the shortest possible time, especially with Kano State as a market next door. 19.*Kano state* remains the commercial capital of North. It was a historic centre of trade centuries ago and still keeps the flag flying. Kano commands 60 per cent of manufacturing activities in the heyday of the North. The famous Bagauda textiles, the groundnut prymids, the Raleigh Bicycle Manufacturing, the Fiat Trucks Assembly plant, the Bottling companies etc underscore Kano's industrial prowess Kano's irrigation system is a model for dry season farming across the entire North. It is from the network of dams and canals that the bulk of the nation's tomato are produced all year round. The Hadeja-Jama'are River Basin Authority leverages Kano's agricultural strides. The icing on Kano's leading position as industrial and commercial power was the emergence of two of its sons became the first two richest people in Nigeria. They have a combined total wealth in excess of $20 billion! Though Kano might have lost some of its glory, with the right policy framework and environment, the state has the potential to be great again and also pull up other sections of region in industrialisation terms. *Business Can Not Continue As Usual* The above is a bird's view on the 19 states that constitute the North, from where 10 out of the 15 heads of state come. A region of over 120 people with unquantifiable potential in terms of both human and natural resources, that include 74% of the nation's landmass that houses 70 million hectares of arable land according to FAO The region is also home to 90% of Nigeria's 156 million herds of cattle. Paradoxically, the largest dairy farm in Nigeria is in Odeda Ogun State and many others in Oyo State. The Lagos State government, too, has established Lagos Food Security System and Logistics Hub for major food processing, storage, and distribution. Located at Ketu-Ereyun, Epe LGA is believed to be the largest in Sub-Saharan Africa. The North couldn't leverage on it's comperative advantages effectively, thus reducing the region to a shadow of itself. And now locked in an "existentia" threats, posed by a possible reduction in FAAC allocations. Maybe it's time to kill the cow. A.G.Abubakar agbarewa@gmail.com |
HighQue007:Thanks. It is a good thing that the South West elites that have refused to see the reasons why Nigeria as a country cannot work are now positioned strategically to X-ray the country. The South East and South South that labeled South West bad for not supporting disintegration can now see deeply the reasons why the South West have been reluctant. I will post an essay on Tax Reforms sent to me below. The Insightful and very intelligent and interesting essay is written by A.G.Abubakar agbarewa@gmail.com and forwarded to me by a friend. *THE PROPOSED TAX REFORMS, VAT SHARING, AND THE NORTHERN DISCOMFORT: IT'S TIME TO KILL THE COW, IN A PARABLE As the war against Tinubu's tax reform and the inherent VAT derivation-based sharing of VAT and related accruals, it would be interesting to play the role of the devil's advocate as experts, legislators and opinion leaders pour over the technicalities, iniquities, and mechanics of the said bills. This trajectory is thus not based on the merits or demerits of the proposed reform itself but with the fact that even the status quo has not worked. The North has been having a raw deal in the hands of its leaders past decades. Yes,things may get worse, with reduced access to the shareable at Abuja, but maybe that's what was needed as a wake-up call. Let the shareable dry. Necessity, they say, is the mother of inventions or creativity. So as tempers keep rising, let the Northern leadership better still, lean on creativity. Let us rave up work on Plan B; a holistic, binding, and workable Regional Transformation agenda.Dependency syndrome has an expiry date, and the current happenings are mere harbingers of more difficult and troubling times to come. The North, and indeed no region/people, can grow on the strength of palliative or political patronage alone or by getting people fitted into the life of deprivations. This brings me to the parable of "Kill the Cow" by Paul Simos. Not to reduce its essence, the parable is hereby reproduced in verbatim. *Killing the cow* A family lives on the outskirts of a small village on a plot of land. The family owned one cow. Each day, they lived on the milk of the cow. If there is little milk, they eat little. If there is lots of milk, they eat well. The life of the mother, the father, and the children depend on the cow. One autumn, a lone traveller stops at the village. He is hungry. The family shared their milk. The traveller is grateful. The traveller wishes to return the favour and help the family. He doesn't know how to help the family. He hears that there is a wise man in the village. He walks over to the house of the wise man. "I was hungry, and the family fed me. I would like to help them. How can I help this family?" "The wise man said, "Kill the Cow. " The traveller was nervous following such strange advice, but the reputation of the wise man was such that he went ahead and killed the cow. A year later, the traveller happened to pass again through the village. He noticed new shops and a thriving market. He saw a new hotel that provided food to travellers who came for the market. The traveller entered the hotel. Behind the bar, he found the eldest son of the family of the cow. The man was standing tall, smiling, and happy. The traveller greeted him and asked, "What happened?" "We lost our cow. There was no milk.we had to go out and do something to eat. We set up a small market, and it grew. We set up this hotel, and it is growing. Without the milk from our cow, we had to try new things." Silently to himself, the traveller reflected on the power of the wise man's words. "Kill the cow." *A Question Of Governance, Not Opportunities* The North may need to have its cow (VAT, FAAC, etc) killed before "trying new things" within the context of its numerous potentials. It would however take good governance and accountability, which has been in short supply in decades to get things turned around in most of the 19 states in the North. 1.*Adamawa state* is home to many iconic agriculture and livestock due largely to its arable soil, vegetations, and the presence of the Benue River. Nigeria's premier sugar company, the Savannah Sugar Company, Sebore Farm owned by Nyako, and the Ngurore Cotton Farms are testaments of Adamawa's agricultural potential. The Sebore Farm remains one of the most famous private agricultural initiatives in Nigeria. Adamawa, too, has a long contiguous border with the Republic of Cameroon where livestock activities thrive very well. Cross border trade between the two neighbours through Mubi, Marwa, etc, has been enormous for decades. After all, the present Adamawa Emirate border extends to parts of Northern Cameroon. The Lamido of Adamawa remains the paramount traditional leader of both sections. The Adamawa state government should tap into these opportunities. 2.*Taraba state** is home to the famous Highland Tea brand. The Mambila Plateau boasts a temperate climate where crops like apple and cherry thrive very well. The topography and geomorphology also support hydro-powered economic activities, including electricity generation, irrigation farming, and dairy production, on industrial levels. The corruption ridden Mambila Power Project initiated by the Federal Government is located in Taraba State. 3.*Borno State* shares borders with three countries, namely, Cameroon, Chad, and Niger. Before the Boko Haram crisis, multi-million dollar worth of businesses were transacted daily with towns like Kirawa, Pulka, Malam Fatori, and Gamboru-Ngala, being the epicentre. The famous Chad Basin agricultural programme provided the needed backstopping services to the state's agricultural sector along with the Borno State Agricultural Programme (BOSAP). During the state's past periods of peace, it ranked high in the production of wheat, millet, melon, groundnuts, cotton, etc. There was a cotton ginary in Biu owned by British Cotton Ginary (BCG) and an oil mill for processing groundnut in Maiduguri. In addition, there was a strong livestock sector producing dairy (Gidan Madara), as well as hides and skin allied businesses. These initiatives should be revived. 4.*Yobe State* has constituent parts that used to be famous for the cultivation of groundnut and grains. The Nguru Oil Mills readily comes to mind. Potiskum and Fika Emirates and parts of Gujba were renown grain zones. Ngalda and Potiskum grains and livestock markets still keep the legacy. The Bade land flood plains can support modern fish farming and potash-based fertiliser production. Gypsum is also available in large quantities that are being consumed by neighbouring Ashaka Cement and others. 5.*Gombe State*, then Gombe Emirate hosted one of the earliest irrigation projects in the North called, Khayasi Farms, it was located at Dadin Kowa, where fruits and tomato cultivation took place all year round. A tomato puree and mango juice factory called Vegfru was established at neighbouring Jauro Garga Town for canning them. The water body is still there, now utilised for electric power generation. Gombe along its boarder with Borno (Biu), to their east, lie uranium deposits. And, petroleum to its western border with Bauchi in the Kolmani basin. Gypsum deposits in the state have been feeding the famous Ashaka Cement factory, Ashaka. These are huge opportunities waiting to be harnessed. 6.*Bauchi State* is home to Yankari, one of the premier tourist destinations in Nigeria. In the past, it attracted both international and local visitors, thereby boosting the state's economy. The state currently boasts of huge gypsum deposits around the Alkaleri and Kirfi axis. With the discovery of oil along its border with Gombe, economic activities are likely to get stimulated given the right attitude. 7.*The Plateau State* holds the honour of being the largest producer of iron ore (Kuza). The rise to prominence of its capital, Jos, was to a large extent attributed to the minning activities on the Plateau. The potential is very much still there. Plateau's near temperate weather has made the state famous for potato, "acchcha," apple, and fruits cultivation on a large scale. Tourism was equally a huge earner of resources for the state before insecurity undermined it. There should be a plan for the day after. 8.*Narasawa State* enjoys most of the mineral resources endowments with its cousin Plateau. The state has as its mantra, the Home of Solid Minerals. Endowed with huge and fertile arable land Nasarawa can take its place as one of the food baskets in the North. Crops like maize, yams, rice, and sugarcane are heavily cultivated. The Dangote Group has recently shown interest in undertaking large-scale agricultural production in the state. The success of Nagari Farm owned by Adamu Abdullahi is further proof of Nasarawa's agricultural potential. The state's proximity to Abuja, the Federal Capital, has had a huge impact on its economy via border towns like Mararraba, Nyanya, Masaka, Kuru, Keffi, etc. It only requires a little more commitment and right policies to get things right. 9.*Benue State* undoubtedly remains one of the major contributors to the nation's requirements. It is the largest producer of yams. Places like Zaki Biam and Katsina-Ala are well nationally (even internationally) as yam centres. Having derived its name from the famous River Benue, the state enjoys a huge capacity for the cultivation of palms, cassue, oranges, mangoes, and bananas that are traded outside Nigeria The agricultural sector in Benue state actually sustained the famous Taraku Oil Mills before it went under. The state equally owned the Benue Cement Company, Gboko, now acquired by the Dangote Group. With the right mindset, things can get right. |
Okoroawusa:I don't know why they are even going to ARISE TV to explain. What is so special about NNPC producing PMS at Old Refinery. No where in the world PMS is sold as produced from distillation processes. It must be passed through blending processes to meet up predetermined standard. |
opes:Don't mind that ex convict and ex prisoner called Bode George. When Yaradua sent him to prison, after Yaradua fell sick and it was clear the transplant he did had come to an end of life period. Backdoor negotiation set him free. During the Thanksgiving Service, Obasanjo was the Guest of Honour, Obasanjo publicly said he cannot attend a Thanksgiving Service of an ex convict. Bode George said he handed over Obasanjo to God judgement for that statement. Today he is saying another thing. General Olanrewaju and Lagos elders should have allowed him relocate to Cotonou. |
FuckTheMod:The frustrated people comparing Obasanjo to Tinubu are very confused. I pity that Olujonwo very much. I just picked something in what you wrote. I pity him. Nearly all the people here don't know the background of this marriage except, ednut because he pointed narrowly towards that direction. Is Madam Taiwo Obasanjo still alive? Is she very healthy? That guy must have passed through many things. May God see him through. If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?. |
atiku4President:Which achievements? He said ABIOLA is not the Messiah Nigeria needed because of ABIOLA's higher intellectual power, exposure and connection. He hates anyone with higher intellectual power and exposure. The same phobia he has for ABIOLA he has it for Tinubu. 1. He sold Federal Secretariat Buildings in Lagos to his people instead of being sold to Lagos State Government as Lagos State Secretariat Annex on the Island, the buildings are now highly dilapidated. 2. He frustrated the reclamation of Victoria Island from Atlantic Ocean encroachment until it claimed half of Ahmadu Bello way and the entire Island on the threat of being submerged by Atlantic Ocean. 3. He called Lagos a jungle and frustrated efforts to rebuild Lagos from an abandoned city with most infrastructure in ruins. |
Dominion2021:Most of you are confused. What is so special about Portharcourt old refinery producing Petroleum products? My fear is sabotage. Federal Government should protect that Refinery. What happened in Manufacturing sector can happen to that Refinery. A friend of mine who worked with Flour mill (Golden Penny) some years ago accused DANGOTE Noodles as being responsible for Poisonous Indomies noodles they claimed killed some children in Lagos that time to blackmail Indomies noodles which is not allowing DANGOTE noodles to sell Also, I have a friend who worked at an Industrial Gas company with huge presence in Portharcourt where the management sponsored the destruction of an Industrial Gas Production unit of an organization so as to remain as the Industrial Gas Supplier to that Organization. They did it Portharcourt and Lagos |
CapitalBank:It has to be by Armed struggle. Estimated $100 billion looted. Nobody can just say divide the Nation. They have to account for the looted money. South West elites are being liberal by keeping quiet. The recent forensic investigation of CBN under Emefiele exposed so many things. Again, it was retaliatory of what transpired under Jonathan. The South West will go into Guerilla warfare to demand for justice of what transpired under Jonathan and Buhari. The call for Yoruba nation is anchored under this misrule. |
NikoWinaman:You are a baby adult or a child fool. Why compare Jonathan and Trump Scenarios. You are too primitive. The first tenure of Jonathan, after he lost election and few days to handing over of power, on National Television Broadcast, he said nobody should probe him, if they want to probe him they should start from 1960. He was making fresh appointments few days to handing over. Few days to handing over of power, some of his key Ministers and officeholders fled Nigeria including the Minister of Finance, DG SEC and others. KANU insisted he must not be probed. That was the beginning of Kanu's Biafra struggling. Estimated $100 billion dollars looted under Jonathan. Obasanjo left estimated $60 billion. They spent almost $25 billion out of OBJ's savings. For Jonathan to come back, he should invite Diezani to Nigeria first. What has Trump Scenario got to do with Jonathan. They sold oil at $140 per barrel producing over 2 million barrel per day and saved no one Kobo, spent all, borrowed heavily and spent part of OBJ saving to the tune of almost $25 billion. They empowered their kinsmen to buy Lagos and Abuja and invested heavily on their businesses. It was in retaliation Buhari people using humanitarian ministry, Agriculture, Justice ministries , CBN and other avenues to loot. The Yorubas have never participated in retaliatory looting, rather came to power to meet a dying nation. OBJ came in 1999 to meet a dying nation with foreign reserve of $5.5billion. It is even good Jonathan comes back and let Guerillas groups from Yoruba land start Freedom War group like I P O B S and unknown gunmen in Lagos and entire South West. It would be very sweet Yoruba groups go into Guerilla warfare like Niger Delta militant and IBO unknown gunmen and I P O B S. |
turmacs:Which development? Did I not warn nairaland moderators yesterday to suspend DANGOTE Refinery propaganda on nairaland for some weeks? Every day, there must be DANGOTE Refinery propaganda on nairaland. We know it is a sponsored news, they should stop it for some weeks to enable the refinery focus on the completion of the refinery project. We are not all fools. Monday through Saturday, everyday, every week, there must be DANGOTE Refinery news. Please, as from next week Monday, they should suspend this propaganda. |
Christ4ever:Nairaland should stop all the propaganda of DANGOTE Refinery. Nairaland should stop any news about this refinery. There is a coverup by DANGOTE Refinery. For how long will it take before everything is blown open. Instead of working to meet up with what they promised they will deliver but cannot, they resort to propaganda, blackmail and court case. They should collect loans from AFC to complete the Refinery project so as to meet up target and let us rest. Are we all fools? |
JagabanBorgu:Obasanjo is a frustrated man. He is a coward. From my various submissions on him when I was using my account (babaolofin) to post on nairaland I have given a total description of him as given to me by some Yoruba elders who knows him very well. Most Yoruba elders and elites never had any value for him. He seeks for relevance among failed people and among lower intelligent people that are celebrated by fools and blind men . He believes he is a SPIRIT and not human being because they call him OWU Spirit. He said he is a General, everybody must take order from him. Tinubu demystified him and humbled him and defeated him seven times. He is a coward. After his several humiliation and defeat by Tinubu he has now chosen the blackmail and falsehood against Tinubu. He will fail woefully. Only mentally unstable person will invite Obasanjo to give a speech. He was invited to give a speech in memory of Achebe an envious and bittered person full of vendetta against Soyinka and Awolowo. In his last book "There was a country" he denigrate, blackmailed and assaulted Awolowo that it became a political battle between Awolowo movement and the IBO elites led by Professor ABC Nwosu. No wonder, such avenue is where Obasanjo is needed. I regretted buying that book through friend in UK. I later set the book ablaze. OBASANJO has forgotten Nigeria Jaga Jaga, everything scatter scatter gun shots in the air, gbosa gbosa by Eedris Abdulkareem is a song that summarized what Nigeria became under him. Tinubu inherited a failed Nation which started from Obasanjo. |

snowball11:You are mentally unstable. |
EmekaA125:Obasanjo is a failure. Only failure celebrate him. Whole Soyinka can never associate or celebrate him. What economic impact or achievement did he achieved in 1999 to 2003 compared to what Tinubu has achieved less than two years? In 1999 was there an economic crisis where there was no cash for citizens for economic activities? Did you have to buy 5K cash (new currency notes) with 10K electronic money? Were you in a situation where 96% of budget was for debt services? He is envious of Tinubu intelligence. The Yoruba elders and elites are aware of this. Tinubu frustrated him severally. |
Obasanjo is a frustrated old man under Tinubu. He likes playing to the gallery. He fought Tinubu and lost. Tinubu is his nightmare. For 8 years as President he fought Tinubu and lost. The most painful thing to him is the frustration Tinubu gave him over his purchase of the old Federal Secretariat buildings in Lagos by proxy. Nobody dares him, nobody challenges him but Tinubu dares him and challenged him and won him. Till date, the person Obasanjo sold Federal Secretariat buildings in Lagos cannot take possession of those buildings and the buildings are in very dilapidated state. Obasanjo can never forget Tinubu. Obasanjo called Lagos a JUNGLE while he was a President and was fighting Tinubu and Lagos. He frustrated the reclamation of VI from Atlantic ocean encroachment thinking the Atlantic ocean will submerge Lagos. Tinubu is more intelligent and exposed than him. He is very jealous and fearful of Tinubu and the Yoruba elders and elites know this. |
Akwamkpuruamu:Dangote Fuel may be of higher quality than the imported fuel but what is of utmost importance to marketers is how to make profit under this hard economic season. The youths of this generation never knew that in Nigeria, several years ago there are different grades of PMS being sold at Filling stations at different prices. We have 1.Super 2. Ordinary, later we have Five Star. With modern technology now, there are Blending factories. I think what comes out of Dangote Refinery may be of the best grade. |
Akpaamunsi:I intentionally refrained from writing anything here because I have done that thrice when I was using my account (babaolofin). Firstly, I can tell you 99% of those claiming Yorubas on nairaland and other social media are IBOS. Nairaland moderators deleted, my posts and suspended my account whenever I bring critical issues to my people's attention. Speaking Yoruba, writing Yoruba is a normal thing for those in South West. I have seen them registering NIN with Yoruba names. In 2007, I have seen IBOS with International Passports with Yoruba names. The issue of Obasanjo is purely known by Yoruba elders. Obasanjo is suffering from Inferiority complex. Tinubu is more than him. Obasanjo said ABIOLA is not the Messiah Nigeria needed. He never wanted ABIOLA to become President but ABIOLA won. He now joined forces with anti June 12 element. He said ABIOLA is not the Messiah Nigeria needed. Obasanjo destroyed Lagos, Tinubu developed Lagos. Obasanjo sold old Federal Secretariat through his people, Tinubu vowed never to allow him have his way. OBASANJO is a coward. He likes to intimidate people but he knows he cannot intimidate ABIOLA his master in School. He tried all his power to intimidate TINUBU, but TINUBU resisted him Seven 7 times and each time OBASANJO fell down yakata. Now, he is using blackmail. The Yoruba elders and OGBONI and OSUGBO elders in general know OBASANJO have inferiority complex problems. He hates being challenged and when resisted he doesn't have courage, intellect, stamina and goodwill to move on, the next thing he will do is to go to Minna to meet Babangida and Abdusalam Abubakar. He is afraid of Oduduwa Republic because he will have no place to run to. |
adams123:We know CNG will explode in car in Nigeria as they have started anticipating it. CNG has been in Benin since 2014 and CNG filling station, Prayer City, IBAFO, Ogun State was built in 2014. Few vehicles have been using CNG since 2014, mostly vehicles brought from abroad. No explosion. Immediately, progress is being made on CNG usage and there was concern about explosion, I know there would be explosion to BLACKMAIL government. I have witnessed explosion before at Air Liquide, Ladipo Street, Matori, Lagos. For a Cylinder to explode at the boot of a car and there is a survivor in the car to explain, he should be invited for questioning about conversion and cylinder type. |
lexy2014:I tapped into the Grace that is upon Papa David Oyedepo. Ask Dr Paul Enenche and the Sons of the Prophet about GRACE upon Papa, they will tell you. Ask Bishop David Abioye or Bishop Thomas Aremu, they will tell you better. The GRACE that makes a person not to have a better yesterday, the GRACE for life to be ever brighter and shinning. The GRACE of Dominion or Kingdom Prosperity. The prosperity that is not dependent on any economic theory or economic policies or government in power. |
Wasky101:I totally agree with you. Fortune 2024, several people have made fortune they have never made since they were born. I was at the Redemption Camp during Convention, Friday and Saturday were ecstatic, beyond explanation. The excitement and the aurora of joy at old Auditorium and environ were so much beyond what I ever have witnessed in any RCCG Convention and I believed Daddy GO must have also noticed it. When I told people about the marvelous events I saw at the camp, they said Simawa was also very gorgeous. This is quite different from negative comments on nairaland during the convention. Surely Divine Repositioning took place in the homes of many Redeemers as Fortune 2024 took place in the homes of many Winners. Many members of MFM (Mountain Of Fire) are already enjoying Open Doors and Divine Speed. Those that are complaining are doing that for Political reasons. The Bible says there was a FAMINE in the days of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Each generation passed through FAMINE but Abraham, Isaac and Jacob were exempted . I am enjoying Divine Repositioning of my Daddy GO our Big Daddy, enjoying Fortune 2024 as a Winner and unrestricted Open Doors and Divine Speed by the Covenant of the God of MFM. Tinubu Government is a blessing to Nigeria in Jesus Name, Amen. |
