let them retire na. d police force aint even rewarding again. no more upward floating egunje. aggrieved persons shouldnt sabotage efforts of those promoted in a bid to make them look incompetent. |
u neva wake? |
Natashia BIS don expire, send she go hustle recharge cards. by d way where is KISTESHIA? NLanders don pursue d canadiene with thier foul mouths, now nobody knows what came of her romance with her beau in Mexico, if d dude is d real deal or one badt sharp guy Natashia, Kisteshia,,, |
only tribalism/bigotry gets u mad at NL. only good times (sex mostly)gets u happy with girlfy and this comes only when the right cocktail of hormones r running through her system twice a month. haba, its a no brainer. drop d insecure babe, she think say them dey ping for NL |
@ OP u don dey brag now *mimicks "I just slammed d hell, " which one b dat? na news? and if we ask d lass, she would say u r what dey call a "2 minute man" na by slamming? |
we dey complain say them too buy brand new cars and d writer is drinking panadol for new appointees wen no dey enjoy d smell and feel of leather interiors in cars. what happened to d wisdom in cutting non salary expenditure? I tire for people o. then about the LG chiarmen, the LG level of Govt has been so bastardised that most new govnors (SE especialy) dissolves elected, appoints TC's to reward cronies, maintain that system till its almost time up, then hold "F & F" LG elections enabled by d SIEC's. and yes, the guy talks too loudly and too often, but compared to d past gov, he is a saint. Ohakim wasn't that far back na, we can still remember his media blitz |
David mark was also born in that town. not too sure of he should b called a TITAN sha (@ least not yet sha). but wait o, d 2 + 2 in d story doesn't add up. his his parents left in 1916, yet he was born in dat town in 1933 and it was also sed he left soon after he was born,,, *scratches head* somebody help, clarifications please |
Congrats everyone. dragnet has shown y they r better than workforce and phillips. as for d cut off, I would say its performance based. I have seen a situation where they planned on 50%, d results were instant and other peeps sent home yle 50% and above stayed behind for an essay. on d interview day, they notified everyone above 40% to come and they wrote thier essay before interviews commenced. don't despair. |
LEASE VS BUY the lease versus buy scenario is a little more complicated then this. there r calculations to do where the cost of buying is compared against the cost of leasing putting things like expected life span, depreciation etc. its a little easier when it applies to land as there is no terminal end to life and whatever depreciation there is to it can b cured using the normal one year rest/bush fallowing (I stand to b corrected as there should b technology to prevent this in today's world) but in all, u have to furnish us with the costs of leasing and outright purchase to help u. leasing will definitely b better if it can b leased for just d 4 months of planting. buying will definitely b between if d total cost can only lease d land for 7yrs or less. |
*furiously scribbling, taking notes*. 2 2D notebooks filled already, need to get a higher education 80 leaves ASAP. about d quality of naija grown versus well polished imported rice, had an Arewa based roommate back in school whose part it was to come with rice, yam and foodstuffs while I brought provisions and lagos stuffs. learnt after three years that it had been Naija rice we had been enjoying for 3 years. all along, d fabled abakaliki rice with rocks outnumbering grains made it imposible to believe rice could b processed to near perfection locally. maybe cos it was planted and processed for private consumption in the family farm. point is, its possible. great thread, learnt a ton (most Inimportantly, tread carefully) thanks Everyone esp TKB for awakening d farmer in us. pls lets kip it coming, class is still in session. |
"Sneaky Ass Women", running around town trying to get drafted for valentine. |
nice write up, it sure pays to stand out by being creative but I think d mood of d recipient at the time plays a role and Lagosians/Nigerians r always cranky might not appreciate your creativity. my own experience; I noticed most interviewers flip over my cover letter and go straight to d CV attached behind. I have been asked "y r u giving me a LoveLetter when what I need is ur CV" I was once called "sabinus", and in one situation, the cover letter was crumpled and used to show me his rainbow shot. |
Hey house, does anyone know anything about Fidelity Bank and when they will call. Test was November 2011 (Kano/FCT and co.), Interviews, December (Kaduna) and then its been info black out no thanks to d hols, strike and security probs. really loosing it here. its not easy waiting. the inactivity is killing. bits of info will help my condition. I must commend u guys. Good job. |

the gates of hell shall not prevail. Let us do our part. Watch and Pray |
This sounds better. I was appalled when I read somewhere that they would b given just a mass burial knowing what mass burials and graves sounds like in Africa. it aint dignifying to put it just like that. |
this is bad. they ignored the warning signs. the guy needed help and didn't get it till this gruesome murder. |
afam4eva:unbelievably ridiculous. they people open thier mouths and the wrong things come out. spending the much needed scarce govt resources to "launch an investigation" into a mans motive in his country after already quelling rumours that he is not a bomber and wasn't found with any IED as earlier rumoured. |
No. we the masses r being asked to sacrifice for our nation in form of subsidy removal so they should bear too. the woman is a prof and I don't think they give that title honourarily so she should have another source of income (or pension if retired.) they also had over budgeted first lady pet project kick backs to last for lifetimes. hell, Turai can take care of all of them with the money she made during her husbands absence. on the other hand, what grounds do those legislators have to Trim budget of the SGF when it took them months after SLS blew d lid on thier bumper pay. the sixth reduced it only because the time was up for some of them but the fact is some of them r still in the NASS so it might have gone up subtly withouth our knowledge. cant they c that the purse is so lean now that our leadership is saying they can't pay the largesse to d subsidy cabal but we d pple should squeeze out the largesse from our already lean resources |
@bizbooks, thanks for opening our eyes to the fact that they r coming with salvage and likes. now we know its a sweet and sour thing. but then the tone of ur writeup shows a hint of displeasure. all in all, I think I will rather but a toks that's openly declared "salvaged" from a major auctioneer, fixed by pros than buy naija used that might have been bought as salvaged, and driven mercilessly on naija deathtraps for years and still put up for sale at an outrageous amount. ![]() |
honestly, there is nothing wrong in that statement. it was perfectly put. the bomb factory explosions were reported. the damaturu offensive was also reported. my only grouse with this administration is that they are tackling this thing from the wrong side. replacement for foot soldiers will not b exhausted anytime soon. they should go for thier leaders/sponsors. @Nchara, +100 |
hmmmmmmmm. Nostalgia. I really wonder what common ground kids of today would have to share in d future. I remember it all. playing *nearest to d wall* with rubber bands and having your palms flogged with flip-flops (dunlop slippers) for being the furthest from d wall after every round. then the level of trickery employed to make the hits sting more by hitting flesh or dodging the blows if I won or lost. walking d streets with a long chain link of rubber bands won from *slippo* the guy or gang with d longest chain was crowned local champ, bragging rights and all. watching my them girls play 10-10, with young feet flying in d sand and after hours of play, they would b standing in an unintentionally dug ditch from stumping feet. would like to go back just to have a taste of innocence. @all, nice thread. nice memories. something to take out mind from the carnage. God bless us all. |
@francis247 Bros the thing tire me o. but i was talking about creating a wifi-hotspot with the gaga for multiple PC's. i have been trying to do the calculations in my head about sizes of the ads and the pages in total but it all doesnt add up. except say etisalat don dey thief like other networks. was planning on using it for the three wireless PC's at home but if one can devour 50MB in minutes i wonder how the 500 MB @ 3000 will fare. now i disabled the data and am using wifi from mobitel. i thing i will just go dig out my Izap from where i bury am. starcomms, though a lil epileptic are still a head taller than others in service. |
Rotating the screen to Horizontal solves the small typing screen to some extent but still a little awkward for typing. the Nigerian in me is complaining about the loss of other freebies from etisalat (Easy Starter and that was why i moved to the network compared to other networks that takes and never gives, e.g the 600 seconds, the one for three minutes recieved and the needlessness of easy life 2.0 with the 20 free sms daily. one more thing, i just discovered how costly easy blase is. 50MB was exhausted while reading only 7 emails (no attachments of downloads, ads should be the culprit i think) wanted to try the Wifi-Hotspot badly) so i wonder how long the 500MB for N3000 will last. now rely on WIFI Do i Regret buying this fone? Hell No. this little droid is so sleek (almost too feminine) my only downside is the WIFI-Hotspot which was the main reason i got it cos i didnt want to be left with a piece of hardware when ISP's start messing up so i thought why not go for a multipurpose stuff. battery aint that bad, its a smart phone. no camera flash. but at that prices, its a good buy. |
Hey Guys, thanks for information provided, and thanks for breathing new life into the thread (Abayomi in focus). Please i need full information about the fees and payment for a newly admitted (2011/12) plant science student. what are the procedures (acceptance first and co,) the full fees breakdown and when is the dead line for payments. |
naijaking we are saying the almost same thing: it takes more than tree planting to fight it. the thread has been turned to governor plant trees versus governor no plant tree and i am saying there is more to stopping it than just tree planting. please dont get me wrong. and from the little i have read, most erosions (gully like those in the southeast) start at the base (stream or river), and when the highland around it cant be supported anymore, all falls down. and but then let me not spend time teaching he who reads. |
This our revolution fit no come o. we never get the lifa yet. saw three assault riffle totting black-on-black local policemen in conjunction with agberos, beat breakfast, lunch and dinner out of a conductor @ orile for trying to negotiate the flat charge to use the JBN $ CCECC lanes so as to avoid the after work traffic. funny thing was onlooker knew they were wrong, everyone was filled with after work frustration which should be sufficient fuel for intercession but we watched(me inclusive). that scene made me see that the much touted discipline of soldiers is nothing but noise as we had two standing by and they couldnt risk summary dismissal from service for sparking another police-army fracas in an already fragile lagos society. we go dey here, our revolution go die for our minds and our pastors lips, PDP wins again (as always) naija spirit, i hail |
Dont know why this bashing must continue here. i hope this is going to bring reasoning back to us all. tree planting is not the complete solution the erosion in the Southeast. pictures of erosion sites on this thread has shown that the soil is not exposed directly to the unbroken force of the rain. that zone has a problem that starts from its soil make up. not everything taught in elementary science and biology is what it seems. gaping sinkholes appear in the middle of forests. if it is just be the presence of trees, what will we say about the northern parts of the country where u drive for hours before seeing greenery? the trees present in some stretches of land in Niger State are so thinly distributed that u can build four Palms Shopping Malls without having to fell trees. |
just finished a 2nd re-run of King of Torts; okay read, finding the perfect balance between greed and fear is all we need. just laid my hands on "why we struck; a story of Nigeria's frist Coup" will try it again. HNosegbe:whats the book like? heard him speak sometime ago, wasnt too impressed cos he turned out like most "motivational" speakers. would like to see how he writes sha. |
Some people who called Okonjo-Iweala lame for adopting foreign policies are seeing tree planting as the only solution to the erosion problems facing the southeast. seeing the greenery in the backdrop of the picture posted by the OP should silence such voices. i went with a friend to a Village ceremony somewhere in Imo state and saw how giant sinkholes appear in the middle of thick forests. the trip to the erosion sites came up when i disputed that Imo didnt suffer from gully as much as anambra and enugu and he told me to forget what people wrote in the papers. i think the MIX of high hillsides and deep valley with streams running has made the south east erosion problem one that is beyond mere tree planting. |
na by slamming?
