our increasing occurence of cancer have been traced back to the chernobyl nuclear disaster and the fallout of the radioactive matter on farmlands all over europe. the contaminated food. (mutton, pork, beef, maize, etc) were simply proccessed in cans and exported down to africa. some years later, all kinds of cacer breaks out.

hard to belive but there is a possibility.

why dont we learn from things like that.

exams as a test of knowledge, its a lost cause. a defeated agenda.

in universities in nigeria, with so much pressure mounted on the students they read just to pass and not for the knowledge, embracing all methods (by crook or by crook) cramming their heads so full that any jolting movement b4 the exams will result in a loss or memmory. after the exams, they forget everything they crammed to make space for the nexr paper.

other means of test of knowledge should be devised and these should be based on interaction or/and practical methods.

on the reverse side, upon the completion of thier terms, will the ex-convicts remain in nigeria, or will they go back to the UK. the increasing population of hardened criminals is not welcome, as it is a known fact that the corrections system leaves little or no change in the criminal minds (it even makes them tougher and smarter).

Check this out: the govt claim tha they spend approximately one million on each youth corper for their service year. imagine what will happen to the economy if this money is used to give these young people 2 months training program on Leadership, Enterpreneurship and self development. These young people will turn out to be employers of labour and most of the ignorant people who keep complaining about the government not providing jobs will not do so co there will be jobs. the economy will be better for it.

service should be improved in terms of allowance, (9500, is pittance in the face of high cost of living in the country), safety, secutiry, good transportation plans, access to medical facilities etc.

norwegians give thier father land 11 months of military services as national duties, and the incentives in place would make you want to continue as a military personnel.

didnt believe it till i tried it.
i kept expecting hidden charges to pop up from no where till i landed in mma2. ever since, its bin aero or nothing 4 me. thier services are excellent. the only complaint i've heard is that for 7000 naira passenger, gate closes 40 mins to departure while thos paying that day pay as much as 19000, but get away with late check-in.

the journey by road from lagos to owerri is a nightmare and u pay as nuch as 4,300 to be comfy, spend @ least 1,500 on meals and snacks, and no less than 8hr on the road and when u disembark your feet are swollen to twice the normal size, not to mention risk of accidents highway robbery, the list is endless. for a price difference of 2000, my choice is, go figure.

but on the flip side, compared to the low air fares airlines in Europe NA asia, 7000 is still on the high side, as a hop from barcelona to amsterdam (low fare) goes for about 29 euros and this is across borders. domestic goes for about 20 euros.

I prefer slow songs to upbeats/fast tempos.
