Please is there anyone already studying or applying to this school:

Hochschule für angewandte Wissenschaften Würzburg-Schweinfurt

Please is it a good choice, in respect of location to secure a side job and also cost of accommodation and living.

A detailed response will go a long way.

Thank you.

A bigger city is always better.
Jobs are totally on the information you have and how lucky you are when you don't speak the language. But, if you speak german - then na you go tire for job.

Cost of accomodation is about 290 on the average.

I have a Job - although i don't speak a lot of German... and so does many people here.

I would choose a bigger city over here anytime, anyday.

Bro I am in the same shoes with the guy that asked that question. You said some people you know have used guarantors, can you kindly link me with those ppl or their guarantors, danke

Kudus007 - used a sponsorship letter, ask him.
I can't link you up to their guarantors... cos i don't know them.

Would really be grateful if someone helps me with this question. Being that I don't have the €8640k

1) can I use a guarantor from Germany (assuming I know someone there) like someone who will front an account for me which I'll use for embassy. If yes .. is it that he would have up to that amount ? Or just earn up to 1500 euros monthly

2) must I have to be related to this guarantor in anyway or not? (My friend in Germany says he is a bit unsure but he don't think I have to be related with the guarantor .. ?

My bro thinks using a guarantor will hinder my chances... but we don't have the cash upfront. Your answer will determine if I'm traveling to get my transcript and begin admission search.. already seen my schools of interest.

Have anyone presently in Germany...ever tried using a guarantor ..please? Or if you know someone it worked for. Thank you in advance everyone.

You can use a guarantor

You mustn't be related to the guarantor - but you need to explain the relationship with the guarantor and what makes you think he/she will sponsor you for the entire study program.

Using a guarantor doesn't hinder your chances, the way you present your case during the visa interview might.

A lot of people i know used guarantor and they are in germany.

I've been following the school and definitely going there (God willing).

Their Mechatronics taught in English is starting the first set this winter.

People that have Bacherlors taught in English, do you know if they waive IELTS test for them.

Get a proof of English. It will do you good.

please sir can you shed more light pertaining to the uni assist process of this school as i cant find any explanation on their site but its there on daad.de and explain what you mean by it can be handed in later. thanks.
and secondly i already have a B.Eng in mechanical engineering is it advisable to still apply,?

I had a BSc, but am running another BSc in Business and Engineering - it depends on you.

Uniassist will have to do preliminary evaluation of your document and send to the school. You can apply to the school and uniassist at the same time . But you have to hand in your uniassist number to the school.

I will also advise you to send the preliminary evaluation cert. to the school when you receive it from uniassist.
Travel / Re: General German Visa Enquiries Part 3 by ProfSamurai(m): 9:36pm On Apr 02, 2017
The application portal for FHWS wurzburg-schweinfurt has opened, you need uniassist vpd (pre-evaluation cert) - it can be handed in later though...

Mechatronics
Business Engineering
Logistics... all BSc...

If anyone is headed to this direction, mention me...

In the house

Schoener Tag,

It has been a while. It feels good to be writing here once again. Most especially from the other side (I mean in Germany). So far, Life in Germany has been great. The system is cool and functional and everything works here. It is a buoyant economy and those who have learnt a little German would find it even more lovely.

The people are easier on you and are very willing to lend several hands once you start with the word, ''Entschuldigung''. Please learn some German at least to B1 level and also familiarize yourself with German materials, musik, documents, movies and all. This doesnt imply that non german speakers find it difficult here. I am only saying you would be more advantaged once you know some Deutsch.

There are also many things you would be happy about here. First, Uninterrupted power supply, functional transport system, and availablity of student jobs that would make life wonderful for you. You just need to learn to manage working and studying and you are good to go.

No regrets man. Feeling really good with the hope of reforming my country but not at the expense of my own life.

It was worth the struggle.

Mach Spass!
wink

My guy said it well... so that you wouldn't come to town like me saying... 'was?, was?, was?' When you are supposed to say wie bitte?... or 'bitte sprechen Sie englisch? - when you are suppose to converse in deutsch.

All in all... Life has been good thus far.

I can afford to dream again - survival mode has been deactivated.

Religion / Re: Is Grace A License To Sin? - Paul Ellis by ProfSamurai(m): 7:49am On Sep 11, 2016
No.

Grace can be likened to a mother's open arms for a child who errs all the time - hoping that s/he (the child) will grow up one day to realize what she (the mother) has been teaching him/her.

Grow up, o ye children.

Also psychologist have discovered that when someone feels perpetual guilt, the person is bound to repeat that action again.

So there's always a constant battle between guilt and grace.

You might wonder why I quoted you - but we started out this journey here almost the same time (although I did with a different Monika)

This German dream is not for the chicken hearted.

I'm not expecting an easy life in Germany - but a reward for hardwork. Not a reward for who you know or who your great-grand-father knows...

Know what you want and go for it...

I dey plane dey wait the rest of #teamwinter 2016 passengers.... I wish you guys luck.
