I didn't send any hard copy to uniassist for my bachelor's application to Rhine waal and they have processed it already and sent to the school.

Save your DHL money or send half to me. I use nipost - it has favored me thus far.
So if you must send your application to uniassist, and since the deadline is July 15 why not use Nipost?

Besides I'm going to send another application on Thursday via reliable nipost to uniassist. grin

Finally, I live in Onitsha - not Lekki grin

Can somebody say something about Rhine Waal University of Applied science, Kleve campus,
The school, the environment , jobs , racism and cost of living .
Someone should say something please

School: I heard a lot of students complain: its easy to enter, hard to get out - mostly the party lovers though.

Environment: There are lots of blacks in the school, with a sizeable number of Nigerians. Most students live in places like Duisburg, krefeld, and even as far as Dusseldorf (ThankGod for semester tickets)

Jobs: there are jobs available in neighboring towns

Racism: Minimal + there're lots of foreigners there.

COL : Like every other places in Germany not Munich/other big cities.

NB: I'm still in Nigeria, but I have made lots of friends there from their facebook page. I thought I would be going there until they asked for a TestAs certificate which was not listed on the course/school website. So before you apply, mail them to know their current requirements for the course you are going for.

jaybmich and UncleJudax angryWhat do you guys mean? Did I come to Germany to sell Yams? I neither own nor know anyone that owns an African shop here. I am giving you the normal price that I have been buying. In some shops its far more expensive. 7€ yam should be the smallest tube sef. Don't you know that Naija foods are expensive here? Na wa o..some students contribute money to buy and cook naija food.
Whenever one comes here to drop advice it is always welcomed with attacks that's why I don't even bother myself coming here to post anymore.

Baba, I didn't see where they attacked you.

Hochschule Rhein Waal replied my mail.

Dear prospective student,

Thank you for your interest in the Rhine-Waal University.

Applicants with qualifications obtained outside of the European Higher Education Area must additionally submit documentation of a valid TestAS Certificate in the Core-Test and Engineering Module with a standard score of 100 or better.

Please register for the next TestAS exam slot so that you can apply for the summer semester 2017.

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may have caused.

Funny people angry - they couldn't even upload the new requirement on their site.

This is really a new development. Please are u aware if it is applicable to the B.Sc mechanical engineering as well?

No. It is not.

I also playfully applied for bsc mechatronics - uniassist have already forwarded my application to the Hochschule Rhein Waal.

My friend at HS Rhine Waal said I can change to MSc when I come over, but he doesn't know how possible it is - he heard some peeps discussing about it in school.

You may write to both uni-assist and Rhine Waal university (in particular), let them clarify why a certain criterion that was 'never' a requirement for admission has been deemed essential, half-way into the process.

I know you applied to more than RheinWall, but you never know, there could be a waiver.

Fight for your €15 grin

Yes I did apply to more than Rhine waal
Thanks

I have written to Rhine waal already. I will write to uniassist as you advised.

I shared my experience here to hear from others who have applied too and to make those yet to apply aware

I applied for Msc mechanical engineering at Rhine waal University through uniassist. But uniassist wrote me to say that my application is incomplete, that I'm yet to submit the TestAs certificate.
I have no idea what that is?

So I contacted a friend at Rhine waal studying my desired course, he told me they just introduced it this year. And the exam has already been written and next date for the next exam will be by November.

So i'm asking if anybody applied to the above course at Rhine waal? And whether he/she experienced such?

NB: the TestAs stuff is not written anywhere on the school/course website.

And have already paid 15euros for this angry

Modified

I googled TestAs. It's German universities' post UME -sort of. It can only be taken at approved centres worldwide (same place as TestDaf centres). And the next test will hold on October 26th sad .

First of all i wanna thank you all for your good works here...God bless.

Please i want to know the current estimated expenses for my travel to Germany. i wanna study computer sc. there at any of the university offering courses in English for free.

A neighbor of mine is using an AGENT and he said he paid a total of N1.2M for visa processing & flight (For all travel expenses). I really don't like these agents stuff cause i know they are looking for their own share or lets say commission.

please, my ogas at the top here, throw more light for your boy.

Al the light you need are in part 1 & 2 of this thread!

please for those that are on the winter train, always make sure that the course u are applying for is closely related to ur first degree in terms of modules or otherwise, I was refused admission on a number of occasion because of this, thank GOD, imagine being refused admission last year because my bsc in production engineering was not closely related with computational mechanics at uni Erlangen, though I was latter admitted for related programmes last year, just this year I have been admitted to virtually all the programmes I applied for, always endeavour to check if ur admission to your programme is not restricted or better still contact your coordinator for further info.

Please can you list the courses you applied for and the schools. I read production engineering and am looking for masters programs.. .

I have applied to some already, but I would like to apply to more.

The local market should be flooded with such goods - to kill competition and knock down prices.

That was my point and still is.. ....
