hey guys, i wish everyone successful application to study in Germany.it has been long since i came online on this platform because i have been busy with school stuffs. As you all know,Germany has a vibrant economy with good education standard and cost of living here is cheaper than most developed countries. But, It's important to clarify an impression which we always find online about Germany(e.g Germany needs engineers,IT experts, blah blah blah ) all these are not really true, a professor said it to my face. As far as i know, so many African guys i know are still searching for jobs which is quite frustrating for them, even getting an opportunity for internship needs fasting and prayer. pardon me, i have to be frank with you guys about it not because i want to demotivate you but to tell you the truth so that your mind can be prepared for the challenges ahead.
The most interesting side is if you're coming to study medicine you have a wide opportunity to get a job after your study cos they are in great need of doctors. the education here is standard there is no doubt about it and free tuition but after your studies the chances of getting a good offer from one of there big firms is really low that is a bitter truth, there are various challenges you must face in the Germany labour force like ( Language: Fluent German which can take you approximately 1 year if you are fast. National Character EU Commision law, you will be consider after Germany Nationals, EU nationals, Eastern European before the African and the rest of other Developing Nations, you can as well relocate to an English speaking countries like Canada, New Zealand, USA or Australia if getting a job is seems difficult.
Lastly, i will advice you guys to consider Luebeck (it's a city in state of Schleswig Holstein) your last option for an admission, it is quite difficult to get a student job with no german knowledge. Good luck guys, we shall all get there

great post, very insightful and frank. Thanks, hope you can be contacted for further questions and clarifications?

Check the site very well, you will see option for English. It's usually kind of hidden at the top or right side. If you still can't find it, then use Google translator. Copy the link and paste it in Google (you will see option to translate) . Most of the sites if not all have options for English. Just check. grin
thanks man, it's a lil fun copying and pasting too google

Just a piece of advice for you and handashake and the many that would apply to schools like LMU or ULM, and even to any skool in general. You have to be careful with ur motivation letter, if possible do not put down even a single alphabet from the internet, and do not repeat phrases from the school's website, some of these skools seem to adopt the canadian approach by scanning motivation letters to check for plagiarism, so google as much as u can to get ideas, read the school's website to understand their philosophy, den construct ur words around these. It would all end in praise, Amen. Team 2016, we hope# we prepare.
thanks man.

lolz, we can both help each other get the admission, don't worry, I can share! #winks. Have you applied?

Your equivalent German cgpa is 2.37, most skools require a 2.5, but for competitive courses 2.5 is just usually the minimum to apply with. In German grading the lower the better, where 1.0 is the highest and 4.0 is the lowest. Alles Gute.
thanks man. Really appreciate bro

You are still on track but may be difficult. Just make sure to apply to uni without restriction for number of admitted students.

Your German scale is a little below 2.5. Basic requirements is this. Take GRE and also test of English.

Don't know if your course is widely done or easily offered.

Start with daad website for searching

All the best

thanks man. I would check it out

I just don't get you at all, isn't PGD for those with cgpa below 3.00? And what would the Germans do with PGD?
or better still what is the minimum CGPA that most German schools require for M.sc Geophysics when converted to Nigerian grading system

Business / Re: Profitable Businesses You Can Start With Little Capital. by prolific1(m): 9:19pm On Jan 10, 2015
mrsage:
Hello, I wish to recommend the following business ideas

1. Turkey farming business- A Mini Turkey Farm
This is an agric bizness with a short turnaround period. You can start
this venture with a room, bq, uncompleted building or any vacant space.
The profit margin is very handsome. Turkeys mature within a few months and
they do not smell like other poultry animals. You can recoup your
investment within 6 months with a very high profit margin.
The key areas are: Feeding, Where to get supplies of young animals, pest
control, housing etc.

2. Custard Powder Production
Custard as we all know is a fast moving food product here in Nigeria.
Start up capital is low

3. Grasscutter farming
4. Meat Delivery/Supply Business. Food related and very profitable. I can
provide more info on this concept if necessary. You can supply meat to
eateries, hotels, restaurants and individuals. You can also bring in live
cows/goats from the North and sell.
5. Soap making. Soap is a fast moving consumer product and production
process is not too complex
6. Exercise Book production
7. You can set up a small bakery and expand in future. Nigerians love bread
8. You can import shoes and other fashion accessories. I know a guy that
imports male casual shoes from the Uk and he sells to wholesale buyers in
Lagos. The rate of return is very high, quick turnover is guaranteed and
the products sell fast because it meets one of the basic needs of man -
Clothing.
9. Transportation. the recent ban on commercial motorcycles in Lagos has
thrown up a huge business opportunity for smart investors who understand
the Lagos business environment.
10. Supply of corporate gift items.
11. Small scale Printing press.
12. Game lounge.
14. Production and marketing of Cosmetics and personal care products

You can also consider:
Table water and pure water business
Export of agric commodities such as ginger, garlic, coacoa or charcoal.
Production of Toilet roll/ Tissue paper/Serviette. I'm doing a feasibility
study on this business right now.
Call 08024130609
please send me the details of the turkey farming to ambkola@gmail.com
