I am not saying borrowing is entirely bad. Yes, taking calculated risk is allowed.
What I am against is telling newbies or people who have not made sales to borrow and keep buying domains. How are you so sure they even understand the basics. Atleast, before you borrow, see that the thing is working for you and you need capital to expand.
Even the rich people in the world sometimes borrow to finance their businesses. But they don't do it blindly.

sir, what message i tried passing is if you see a domain you cannot let go borrow and buy it, i didn't say they should borrow to buy stupendously.

My ist four figure geo sale, was bought for me by a friend that day, and it sold that same day after he transferred it to my epik account.

So basically what am saying is, you make it a hobby of going through expired domains every day despite how busy i am at work. And if i see a domain i like, even if i don't have money, you see where am busy looking for where to get money or who will help me buy it, and then i always buy with a positive mindset.

This sold for me wella, when i mean whella, wella. But this was back to 2018 2019 pre covid. But now i dont know or understand what happened to the niche. I also sold some boudoir, maternity, newborn photographer/photography Domains then.

Lastly, if you will take my advice, Geo domaining is going corporate, i mean big, is time for us to focus on those big businesses that can be geo, and not just service providers. It must not be a tattoo artist or carpet cleaner or barber that needs your domain.

Let's look at the Big corporate businesses.....

Your subject will scare them off. Use the domain name as the subject. There are over 200 dentists in Houston, u can get their emails on gmap… the houstondentist hashtag has over 35k hits on Instagram, your endusers are there too or you can also ask one of these guys to help you scrape emails from yellowpages. Next time when buying dentist u might want to lean on these keywords more; cosmetic, family, implant, pediatric, sedation might be kinda hot too I guess… Goodluck boss.

On knowing how to price your name, could you please elaborate and what do you factor in before settling on a price?

Sir, there are many factors i consider before i price my name.

1) Service being offered: what kind of service is my prospective buyer offering, and what's the basic cost for such service. Eg Photography, i price between 250 - 350. Because the industry is yet to bounce back from covid.

2) Demand: The demand for the service offered, if the demand is high, I price high but if demand is low i price low.

3) Competitive: if the service being offered is a competitive one, i price high, but if its not i price low. I want to use photography to elaborate more on this, Wedding photography is more of high demand than Boudoir and Senior Photography.



These and many more and things i consider in pricing.

You know, sometimes when i see the brandable guys, make four figure sales with Brandables. I just wish, and be happy for them. I never knew GOD had my own plan, of breaking my four figure with a geo domain.

For example this year i had my first $xxxx sale, and it came from a geo domain. Yes a city in Texas Domain name, i priced it four figures yes and the buyer just sent an offer removing just $500bucks, and payed the $2000 immediately.

They’re confused. If you ask their customer care agents you’ll get different answers. $50, $100, $300, $1500. Same way they are charging 550/$ on some cards and 480/$ on others. But I funded my dynadot with $70 this morning and was charged at 550.

Maybe it's to ask them on an open platform like twitter.

Access Bank have increased their limit to $1500 per month as well. I was at their branch to get a new card yesterday but I was told that it is not availabe at the moment as they only have Verve cards. So you might want to get that handy as well.

But i tried purchasing some Domains today with access bank, it refused, i had to make use of other banks $20 limit.
