I just wanted to comment on a little observation, I noticed, but before that congratulations to all recent sellers.

First of all, I observed that many times as regards the geo Domains, people tend to ask questions that I may tag frivolous. Like How many endusers did you contact? Like how does that concern you, or how will that help you to get your own sale, so if someone tells you he just contacted 15 endusers and made that sale, will you also contact just 15 endusers?.

Email Template: Many Email Templates, have been dropped here, which I know are still in use by people and working perfectly. so asking sample of the template used won't get you that sale, rather having a good domain will get you the sale. Sometimes learn how to initiate a chat with endusers by dropping little lines of words.

How did you source your leads: In geo domain, your goal is to make a sale, so you don't limit yourself to few leads, anyhow you want to get your leads go ahead. Different domains have different ways of getting their leads.

I just think I will stop here for now, I know many will attack me, but let's try to minimise the frivolous questions, especially the ist one I pointed out.

What you mean is that you own a domain, and when and listing it on Dan, you made a typo error and now someone bought it.

If so write Simon and explain to him showing him the real one you own and the typo.

But if otherwise, you just listed a domain to test ground, Oyo na your case.

All of una wey they wait for person to report sales Then Modify and edit to register another version of same name to sell or outbound to other endusers.

Let me tell you sometimes that attitude is bad. There is a probability that you may spam the buyer who bought the version you modified, when outbounding.

Secondly if the person who wanted to modify and spam buyers he would not have reported the sale.

Thirdly, it a bad attitude that may make some people not complain but refrain from reporting important sales.

Also know that if you modify in geo with other cities this message is not for you, because that one is good example is Maryland tattoo, and you decided to modify to Idaho tattoo no problem. That's not spamming same buyers. Because you are outbounding to different buyers in different locations.

But when you modify to tattooMaryland it is bad though may sell, but it bad for us to modify peoples sales.

Let's grow our intellect and explore more niches, even me I have not had sale, but i still believe in the business and know that there are some untapped geo niches that I need tap.

Wow I am loving towards that crv, what's the comparison to your Civic in terms of maintainace, I know the fuel consumption of the crv will be a bit higher.

Thank you for your response, I got to this thread due to some events, unlike many here who are completely new to buying and selling of domains, I have been involved for many years but never really saw the 'business' side of it.

Let me take time to share my experience selling 2 domains.

I started getting interested in this by accident, sometime in 2021 I got a call from a godaddy rep that someone was interested in one of my domains, he said the person made an offer for $2000, jokingly I told him that people had called me for $7000 and I rejected, he said ok he would contact the buyer, never heard back from the guy for like 2 weeks.

He sent me an email if I would let it go for $5000, told him NO , 5 days or so later he emailed that the buyer had agreed to pay the $7000. I asked if i will be getting exact $7k, as I did not want a single deduction. He said yes the buyer would be paying all fees. The wire transfer got to my account 2 days after I clicked "I agree" in the link he sent me.

Fast forward to June 3, 2022 or there about, I checked an email I had not checked in weeks, saw an email from one company called afternic asking me if I was interested selling a 6 letter domain for a lower amount than I listed on godaddy. I listed it with no real intention of selling, just wanted to see what would happen, listed it for $18,000 over a year ago. I replied NO again as I wanted to stick to the $18k.

I kept refreshing that mail nearly every 5 hrs. About 5 days later, they said your domain is sold I logged into my account and saw a totally different amount from the 18k, keep in mind these mails were all coming from the afternic company, went to the site and discovered it was owned by godaddy.

I called when I figured out that these guys deducted $1000+15%, I told them I wanted to change my mind regarding the sale, he said no that I already added a buy it now price on godaddy that as a matter of fact the funds have been initiated on their end to my account.

My search online brought me to this thread which led me to asking many of the questions I am asking. I became more curious after this last sale, as I am now seeing the business side of this.

Now I am interested in getting deep into the business.

I hope you now understand the reason for my "calm questions".

If this story you penned down here is true, i tell you that domaining is your calling, invest your time in it, and you are already Like TonyNames.

Secondly what ever niche you are in, or how you select your names thumbs up to that knowledge. It is showing you are good on names selection.

You have a point. Someone reported a solar sale here about some days, I already backordered a better variant before he reported that. I wanted to cancel but just took the risk because it's a better variant and I already backordered before he reported it. My conscience was clear. Two days after the name dropped, I sold it. Same day, there's another variant on Dan. But the person doesn't understand how the niche and its endusers operate or think.

The solution for me is to stick with the best variant. And this may sound selfish and unpopular, I don't think merely reporting sales help newbies. It may help a pro but not a newbie. E.g you can check the number of MortgageIT names on Dan after the last report. You'd be shocked to see a newbie buying about 10 hoping for sale and getting their heart broken even though this is not my wish.

I now understand why most people don't care to report sales.

I have an enduser who indicated interest in a domain and requested to pay via bitcoin, I asked him to follow the domain link and click on Buy now and select bitcoin as he payment method (Epik) I don't know shall if they accept bitcoin as payment for aftermarket domains.

He replied again that he wants to pay via bitcoin, i then sent him a wallet id to pay into once he makes payment I release code for domain

He replied Yes.


I swear this kind enduser I no understand or na time waster

For domains registered with them or domains that have passed the 60-day lock. The registrars they have holding account with are few compared to Dan.

Once you contact Tony or Rob on Epik most of your problems are 100% settled.

Ah the person was so fast, as I was still researching on reasons why similar ones with "er"suffixs where unsold at Afternic.

Price factor and the person understood immediately and priced moderately.

Someone beat me to an employment law domain today in a state housing Chicago, if you are that person please remove the installmental payments, as that domain will even sell above 500bucks.

Secondly, the earlier he knows that there are over 100 new domainers birthed everyday the better for him.

Last time somepeople tried advising him about posting of names you saw the reply he gave to them.

Now the names are registered you still complaining.

Abeg I like him and my advice to him is to read up this thread, and I promise to gift him 2 Domains someday, which he would look up and register himself.

But there is a condition precedent attached, which is read up, and study the thread and show cause why we should believe that he has read the thread even if its just the last 1000pages.
