On a serious note, if I was a newbie I will rush the offer. This also means that they know the keywords he's registering. That alone is better than money. That is like an apprenticeship with pay. And paying in percentage is better than a fixed amount any day considering you are not outbounding for a newbie.

I don't know why most people think everything is all about money. I was a full time domainer, until this year, when I decided to go back to my profession. Buyer eventually told me they weren’t happy I didn’t transfer the domain through them that’s why they want to refund him. If that’s the case, he asked me to allow them refund, so he pays me externally.

Why will you involve in such a nasty act, if you knew you wanted to deal with the buyer directly, why then involving an escrow. If they refund the buyer now and he refuses to give you your money, who will you blame? Sometimes, let's act rationally.

I don't blame epik here, but suggest you beg them to and show them proof of the domain transfer.
