If there's one institution on under serious attack today, it is marriage...it has been reduced to almost nothing and some of the stories in the media are all the pointers we need to establish this. RAYS OF HOPE To all those who have shared beautiful and inspirational stories about their homes, I say thank you and May God continue to bless your homes. amen. obrigado! |
Whatever our perceptions about the two main kogi gubernatorial candidates are, a choice still has to be made. the balance is tilting more to audu's side at the moment. #keepingfingerscrossed# |

@op, stay calm, I'm sure he is on the look out too. If gold is found everywhere, it wouldn't be valued the way it is. Best wishes from here. |

Nice idea, it would achieve the desired effect only when you're both operating on the same frequency. At least you'll get a momentary smile for your effort. |
@you made a good call, stick by it please. A bird in hand is better than two in forest, there is a good chance it's a plan to lure into sexual slavery. keep being the good sister's keeper you are. |
nothing lasts forever, not even power. The table will always turn, till then I think they should let the end justify the mean |
The demise of Dr. Nelson Mandela some days back has opened floodgates of encomiums in honour of the former leader and hero of the african continent. He has inspired many like me to believe and aspire for a life of greatness even if it is against the odds. Truly, his long walk to freedom isn't easy, but for a man so patriotic and selfless to a fault, i think he deserves every bit of the adulation ringing out in his honour. Enough said about madiba, recent happenings especially that, in which Dr. Doyin Okupe opined that president Jonathan is our Mandela, brought these questions to my mind. Is he? How do we differentiate a truly deserving politician to that whose praises are being sung to repair their not too good image? Call it the power of the incumbent, you hear more of these praise-singing sessions on government owned broadcast stations and I'm not particularly their fan for that. He who pays the piper dictates the tune afterall. In my own opinion, I think if praise has to be sung, it should be at the end of their tenure, the end they say justifies the mean. I do believe it is then when their power of influence (which I think lies mainly in their status) is relinquished that their true mark on the sand of time could be judged. That's just a man's opinion by the way, I'll love to read yours, I'm all ears. |
The definition and understanding of marriage to people differs from one person to another today. I'm sure they have their reasons. CHOICE |
He's got his answers there. As for who goes to hell or heaven, he should leave that to God. Good work padre. |
I can't remember the last time I took my time to read each and every contribution on a nairaland trend, on this particular occasion though, I certainly did. I had a first hand experience of what the state of education in Nigeria looks like during my service year(especially in the camp), and honestly, I didn't find it interestly. It's good to know many Nigerians share the same view, I've seen lots of suggestions here, I just hope we're contributing our little quota too. 'After all has been said and done, there is much more said, than done' My humble advice to all is be a 'doer' not just a 'talker' GOD BLESS NIGERIA |
This nairaland virtual stadium full no be small o... |
nah! I agree it's a step in the right direction, but it doesnt guarantee heaven. He could as well end up in hell for many other reasons. |
booqee: so many things to gain. You'll be surprised then, that quite a good number exists here in Nigeria. CHOICE |
