yeah I also don't let public opinion influence my decision, not just regarding movies but also other sphere of life.

Frankly when I watched the first Spawn, it was amazing but watching it now, hmmm I'm afraid not. Lol
Of cos na, the latest visual effects and better CGI has turned you to spoilt child.

that's why I was baffled.
One can't be the commander of Satan's army and expect to live a happy ever after life.

I just hope the gore and violence will be worth it.
Dont be surprise if after Todd directs the movie himself it will still have poor ratings.
I have abandoned public opinion a long time ago about what kind of movie I enjoy.
When the first Spawn came out I really enjoyed that movie, why? I have never seen such visual effects before, and I think it was way ahead of its time we are talking 1997 here.

Lolz, none taken. So a 7.5 is very high? and besides i rarely/don't comment on the TV series thread so how come your assumption that the series i see are wacky or are you mistaken me for someone else??
As regards movie ratings, most folks here rate movies subjectively, no one rates movies based on what it is, rather rating are done here based on how i feel & what it ought to be. No offence, even you yourself, you ain't particularly innocent of the wacky taste syndrome in movie & tv shows, so whats the fuss about mine & why the metaphoric comparison of me to a 10 year old.
No offence, but most times, you're very condescending with your comments, that's why you hardly see eye to eye with most folks here, honestly, its not a good thing. learn to let go most times its not gonna diminish your worth, there's a saying that when a man cooks for the public, they'll finish the food but when the public cooks for one man, he can never finish the food. I simply said something was average & gave my express reason why i said so, it not something that should have gotten you inflamed or rankled, you should've at least checked it out for yourself, there's this saying that a traveler is wiser than an old man, at least, I've traversed lots of DC series to know what am talking about.
I respect you a lot, but our people say that, ọ bụrụ na okenye ahapụ nkwanye ùgwù ya, ụmụaka ga-akparị ya, and also onye Emetụla agu aka na ọdụ du ya ma ọ dị ndụ ọ nwụọ ,so please am begging. Am very sorry for mentioning you in the first place, i should have just expressed my opinion without mentioning anybody, once again, my unalloyed apologizes are in place.

Not bad, not bad at all. Seeing that Jamie Foxx play Spawn is more than enough. Though I just hope the usual people who love happy endings won't ruin this. Lol
If Todd will stay true to the Spawn of Image Comics, I don't see too many happy endings there will be great loses for Al Simmons.

When some people say some people's rating on movies are shitty or not good, I kind of wonder who in this world made them the god almighty of movie rating.

Isn't all this suppose to be a matter of opinion huh
It makes you wonder,
I mean in most talent shows almost all the time all the Judges don't all agree to a particular act, most of the time these Judges are people with outstanding reputation, so if one of the Judges rates a performance very low and the others rate the performance very high does that mean the Judge has a shitty taste?
I wonder since when an individual started setting the standards for people with different outlook.

I mean a total remake of the movie. The one that starred Michael Jan White wasn't all that good to me. Though when I first watched it, it was lit, but now it's not it at all.

Can I get a link to the emboldened?.
It's no news about what Todd intends to do with the next Spawn, this news came out like last year.

Here is one the many links about it

there are multiple videos on youtube about justice league V avengers so which one do we all accept as the truth,in comic book debates the fans back their claims with comic book scans(pictures) not youtube videos where anybody can say what suit his narrative.

Have you even watched the video? am not talking about DCEU or MCU, am talking about comic books, we are talking about the first editions from the 1960s here, if this is not the source material then i dont know which one is.

youtube videos are not the source materials, anybody can make a youtube video to suit his own narrative.
The youtube video in question is taken from THE SOURCE MATERIAL, its not taken from MCU or DCEU that are both misleading.

great. I'll get to it ASAP.

Want to rewatch Into the Badlands season 1. Men I really love The Widow. She's my ideal woman. She's everything Cercei Lannister and Daenerys isn't.

Hey any news about a movie adaptation of Spawn?
Okay. Thanks.
You mean the sequel?
The first one was played by Micheal Jai White.
Todd Mcfarlane has come out to say the next one is going to be more dark and brutal than the first one, as would be the one to oversee the project.

If you have time and what to listen to some inspiration and a remainder of what the black race went through in America, you should just chill and listen this interview.

After watching this interview with Muhammad Ali, I realized this guy was even a bigger freedom fighter than a boxer.

He should be placed in the same bracket with Malcom X, if not above him.

Unfortunately Hollywood paid little attention to this part of legacy when Will Smith played Ali in his autobiography.
I learned alot from this interview, I even learned why he chooses to talk too much.
This guy is a fighter, I mean a warrior, and I don't mean in terms of boxing.

This y I love 2 present d facts as they are. They disable people like u who feel others don't have a right 2 their opinion. Whether my words are complete or not, u got d message & my incomplete words have disabled every baseless & mediocre argument u would have put on d table. My incomplete words have left u scrambling 4 crumbs in ur arsenal& latching unto irrelevancies in order 2 save face
The way you abbreviate words only shows you spend most of your time typing petty talk, cos it's now a habit.
If you have been engaging in something that requires you type complete words you would have outgrown this habit.
I won't be surprise if you will employ this same childishness when you are want to write a test in a hurry.
You want to put a political argument typing like you are having a 2go chat, and you expect me to take you seriously.

When you learn how to type complete words I will indulge you. For now you look like a joke.

That dude had it easy despite his difficult journey. Atleast he didn't lose everything unlike Tom Hanks in Cast Away.

Men, I've never felt sorry for anyone like that in my entire life. Even though it was just fiction, I still felt very very sorry for him.

It's the very reason why I watched the movie once and couldn't stomach watching it again.

Damn!.
Ah no ooo
At least Tom Hanks had an Island to start a secluded life, this guy had a small boat with a ferocious Tiger in that small space, the guy was literally living on the edge of the boat (I mean literally), if he gets too far into the middle of the boat he would have been eaten.

It was in Cast Away I learn the true value of companionship, that Wiltord ball made me feel Tom not to feel alone.

Movies like this makes me see how insignificant man is when it comes to the might of the sea.

If my lines are lame, is ur it lame? If u want me 2 give them up prove that they are lame. Produce superior argument. 4d fact that what I said doesn't appeal 2u or ur political beliefs, then I should "give them up". Are u d one 2 tell me what I should give up or shouldn't give up?

If I ramble, is it ur ramble? Address d issues raised& leave me 2 ramble. Am not using ur NL handle 2 ramble. Have I committed any crime by defending AIT? Aren't u defending el-rufai and NBC? So u can defend who u want 2 defend who u want but I can't. C urself & ur double standards. If u had ur way, am sure u will prevent me from airing my views cos they don't appeal 2 ur political orientation.

So d best way elrufaii could send a message 2 his "political opponents" was 2 tell them that they will "go back in body bags"? Who were these his "political opponents" he was referring to his "political opponents"? 4d fact that u have mentioned d governors constitutional immunity, that means u are suggesting he did something wrong. Lets assume a sitting governor plans a coup against buhari, what will b done 2 him? Would he b allowed 2 continue in office?

I didn't compare buhari 2 trump. I will b glad if u can produce that comparison. Whether he has diarrhea of d mouth is none of my business. That has nothing 2do with d discussion. By d way, what's so special about buhari that u can't compare him with Trump?

I don't no d programme u are asking me 2go &watch. U haven't mentioned any programme. And since u are referring me 2a nameless programme, that means u have watched it. And if u have watched it, then I don't need 2 watch it. U can simply outline d misdemeanors of AIT as u saw in d programme.

No I don't no how many wars d media has instigated. Pls tell me how d number of wars d media has instigated.

If ipob instigated d ultimatum 2 igbos, is d solution 2 ask Igbos 2 leave d north or 2go after ipob? Are d igbos in d north d people behind ipob?
The way you type clearly shows you are a kid, am not going to exchange words with someone that can't type complete words.

How were they heating up d polity& inciting d people against govt?

What about these?

Elrufai promising body bags 4 foreigners

D FG obtaining license 4 setting up Fulani radio

Buhari calling abuja residents evil cos they didn't vote 4 him

Hausas giving igbos ultimatum 2 leave d north
give up with these your lame lines already.

Do you know how many wars the media has started or instigated?

You keep rambling about El Rufai, what can be done to a sitting Governor under the Nigerian constitution?

If you know what hate speeches and false information is capable of you would have been comparing it with other grievous instances.

If you have not see the political programs aired on AIT, do well to go and watch them.

you compare Trump to Buhari, Trump that has diarrhea of the mouth is your ideal model for comparism,

El Rufai is was sending a warning to his political opponents not spreading lies and hate.

Your IPOB instigated the ultimatum of the Ibos in the North.

What is your reason in defending what AIT is doing?

news most marvel fan boys won't never want to admit, even if it was staring right in their faces.

Later they'll come and start giving excuses if the movie flops. You'll start reading them say, X-men isn't part of MCU, Sony owns X-men bla bla bla.

I just love the way these marvel fan boys have the right excuse for any Marvel movie that flopped. It's the same thing they did with Punisher: War Zone. Though I personally love the movie because I'm a fan of The Punisher.
I personally love that movie, am yet to see a better Punisher movie than War Zone, bar the series that was shut down.

You must be kidneying me. The Shining wasn't all that great ke?! huh That book is one of Stephen King's best books.

Take the words of a super fan who has read almost all his books, and when I say it is one of his best, it means there are others he wrote which weren't all that great. But the Shining? That is one of his unmatchable masterpieces.
I think the Dark Tower series was great, the last book of the series I read was The Drawing Of The Three.
I like the fact that racism was set aside in the movie adaptation, Roland the Gunslinger was Played by Idris Elba and Roland was suppose to be a white character.

sometimes i wonder if Stephen King is not an Alien, his mind never runs out of weird stories.

Funny enough, I too have stopped demon possession movies. I feel they are too similar and repetitive. But gawd, they are scary.

So, I can understand how you feel.

Did you know that some people vomited after watching the exorcist?

There is a reason why we are scared of demon possession movies more tha anybother type of horror.

1. Just like zombie movies, it is closer to reality. We all know a mad person that behaves as if possessed. For zombies, an Ebola like disease could cause such morbid body horror. Compare this reality to werewolves and vampires who ate just not real enough.

2. It is a hopeless situation. Once possessed, even priests or shamans might not be able to save you. The priest and your family might even die in the process of exorcism. A slasher serial killer can be stopped with a gun. A werewolf with a silver bullet. A vampire with the sun.
Even if you get cured of the possession, you will still have mental scars that will affect you for life.

3. Religious indoctrination. Many Christians and muslims have been made to fear hell and its occupants. A very primal fear of devilish things. Seeing such coming to life on a screen will torment anyone with religious upbringing.
I saw a video on youtube that some priest were brought to the cinema to bless the crowd (before they left the cinema) after watching the horror movie, it was the premier of the movie, and guess what the movie was all about? exorcism and demon possession.

This Akata thing is getting out of hand. I don't think anyone on this thread is saying that those living abroad are better than Nigerians living in Nigeria.

However, there is some ignorance that comes when someone does not travel out of his or her environment. A lot of Americans do not travel out of America and that is why many still believe that they are the most free/prosperous country in the world.

There are people who live in Nigeria that try to learn about the outside world. Very good. However, what I believe that I and other akatas (akata meaning based abroad) are against is Nigerians who only interprete things through their culture and religions like local champions.

No one needs to feel inferior or superior. I believe that our fight is against ignorance and not against living in Nigeria.

A million tnx bro, pls hope it's not illegal?, cause I know the dark web is a subset of the deep web. Just so you know, it's not that I'm trying to refute or ignorant of the fact that American is one fvcked up country(pardon my language). In fact, at a point, i used to be an avid follower of Alex Jones, well that kinda changed when i read were he made that utterly ridiculous assertion, that Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in 2012 and the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in 2018 were staged & engineered by gun control advocates that in fact, no one died. I was so so angered, how could he vomit such nonsense. In fact, after that & some other ridiculous assertions of his, i vowed that, it would be easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for me to believe that guy again.
News flash: the deep web is in fact legal, it just that its a place you can find all sorts of illegal stuff, we are just hidding our IP because we can have some bullies looking for social security numbers to sell, you need to remain anonymous (but who gives a shiit about such in naija), if you want to buy anything there make use of bitcoin, its also anonymous.
the good thing about naija is that we are so backward that we dont have such details, most kids in naija are born in backyard maternity homes with no records of who they are in all the Nigerian main frame we are so backward that we are not affected by the web, unless you are flaunting your bank accounts and your finger prints in all your email accounts and your social media accounts, i doubt you will look like a promising prospect for the hackers grin grin

you are right about Alex he could be a nut case sometimes, but he is also right sometimes, and most times he is right about what "THEY" dont want you to know.
