The Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, has denied media reports quoting him as saying the withheld Dapchi school girl, Leah Sharibu, will be released yesterday March 24th. Idris said he was misquoted by the media. Read a statement from the police denying the report below
The attention of the Nigeria Police Force has been drawn to the publication on some Social Media platform and conventional media indicating that the Inspector General of Police said the last Dapchi school girl will be released soon.
2. The Statement of the IGP was misunderstood and misquoted. The misunderstanding may be as a result of the already released Dapchi School girls expected back home in Yobe State today but could not arrive due to weather condition. The IGP could not also proceed to Dapchi because of same weather condition.
3. The Force wishes the members of the public and the media disregard the purported statement as not what the IGP meant.
4. The Force therefore reiterates that it has no information yet on the release of the last Dapchi school girl.
5. This release should be taken as the true position of the IGP’s statement.

Guy, what you quoted is mostly the old testament. The old testament is Judaism. Christians are the followers of Christ and so follow the new testament. Christ made all the laws and rules and doctrines of the old testament null and void. Christ preached grace and love only and lived his whole life as an example of such.
The Matthew you quoted was a metaphor for the sacrifice Christianity entails. There is no evidence in the whole of the new testament where violence or hate was encouraged overtly or covertly.
Again, I repeat, Christians are the followers of Christ not the old testament. So which of the above two quotes is Boko Haram practicing by forcing the girl to accept Islam? I need an answer. |

All state owned tertiary institutions (with the exception of BSU) just declared indefinite strike over the intolerable suffering as a result of nonpayment of salaries and the fool is there chasing shadows.
Even BSU has been shut down over last week's protest, with the fool asking students who protested the authorities disallowing them to sit for exams over nonpayment of school fees, to go sought their fees over two weeks. Benue workforce is predominantly civil servants. You don't pay salaries yet you want students to pay fees. Where does he want them to raise the monies- prostitution and selling of kidneys?
When folks who know nothing about what goes on in Benue open their mouths and speak here, all I do is giggle. Worst off they are the same people that insulted the life out of the useless governor just last year. He's become their hero overnight because he now seems opposed to Buhari. I am sure the killings in zamfara, Edo, Kogi, Taraba etc by the herdsmen is a result of nonpayment of salary? Lets try to be objective with our reasoning. The subject here is that the army is acting as a shield which in all inferences is true. If they want to kill them they should leave the killers, run to the army, report the attempted killing, then the army will come and arrest the people who came to kill! Haba, how can the army reason in this manner? I hope, when the truth is revealed some people will be honourable enough to apologise to Nigerians. |

Good morning Nairalanders , especially doctors in the house. I have a very serious case of bad mouth odour that has persisted for a long time, at least 8years.
Sometimes I have to brush as many as three to four times a day and bad enough, it will still be there.
Occasionally, I remove some yellowish smelly stuffs from my throat and after sometimes I see them again. Also of late, I have persistent headaches even without fever, even when I wake in the morning expecting to be refreshed, the ache will still be there. I don't know if these are related.
I have seen two or three doctors and normally there give me antibiotics and recommend mouthwashes. Now it is still here an am worried and depressed.
I am in my late 20s and this has affected my life in ways space will not permit me to write. I just cannot function well anywhere because I cannot talk for fear of the odour. My social life is zero, and I am almost always alone.
Please advice me if you have or know someone who has experienced this, or you are an expert or you know something I can do to be free from this. Its so bad its the only item on my new year prayer. I don't want to spend another year in this. Thank you all in anticipation.

1. Heb 10:25, we need d gathering to encourage ourselves on our Christian journey.
2. You should not speak evil of any pastor because it amounts to judgment and only God has the deserve to judge them.
3. We live in a country where politicians with school certificate drive in a convoy of vehicles worth over 300 million naira and PhD holders trekking and jumping on bikes. Yet we want all church members to either fly a jet or drive a car like the pastor. Why are all Nigerians not living in Aso Villa after all its OUR money.
4. If you have posted negative comments about pastors in this thread I want to believe you worship in a shrine. Where speaking evil against dibia is tantamount to curses and death.
If you feel you are better, open your own church and show the other pastors how to do it. |

I want to believe that a "Christian" posted this and only "Christians" will comment negatively.
You return to church on Sunday pretending to be holy and you stay under a pastor, yet you can open ur mouth n speak against them. Do ugive offerings in church? If u r so poor to give say so n let the church enlist you for poverty alleviation scheme.

I know being overweight is a serious problem in Nigeria because since my last visit there were quite a few overweight people (mostly older adults to the elderly). I have not seen obese people yet, maybe it is because i'm comparing it to the obese population in America. It may seem to many like an advert but until we begin to take our health more serious, I think we will be the major winner. Whether under weight or over weight, its already a health challenge. We should equally learn how to encourage not to discourage. what seems to us as not a problem at the moment was where South Africa found themselves about some decades ago but I tell you, if you research and see how they feel about their condition today, you will know that its not all about culture or the way they want to see their women.
Mentality is vital to how you see your health. It is not because you acquired wealth or extra income but I believe we know there are many poor obese persons who are dying gradually without knowing.
For those who think their health is important or who think there is someone that might need these basic but important health secrets, you can give it a trial. REMEMBER, IT IS FREE! |
