More Gaming Companies are going to make more improvements in gaming to make their games more interactive including the micro transactions you talked about @psychodavidovic @dewhaley PUBG is the shit and I know data issues are always major but 115 - 120 ms is still relatively good. @dewhaley how would you like to test a smilar game to PUBG and give your own opinion about it or rate it?

115 to 120ms is good but people with 25 and below will always have the slight advantage and in fast paced games like Fornite and Pubg, these little things can meant a lot.

Micro transaction are good but they have to keep it purely cosmetic. Not pay2win which ruined games like Modern Combat 5 on Mobile. I'll keep saying it, the reason why PUBG and Fornite are this big is that everyone is given a fair chance in the game; no matter how much you spend in the game, someone new that hasn't spent a dime can still whoop your ass.

Just imagine people paying to land with level 3 helmet and armor with AWM and M24. I would have stopped playing a long time ago.

Any known bugs? Because from my experience when I was using Samsung s4 (gt19500), changing roms virtually every month, I realised that every custom rom has bugs especially AOSP-based roms. Most developers even go as far as stating the bugs on their XDA pages. So pls those on AEX and Pie Experience etc, what bugs have you noticed? This thread is about Xiaomi tweaking, hence reviewing Xiaomi roms will be nice and greatly appreciated.

You're right, changing ROMs every now and then comes with it's fair share of bugs experience as new features are being added constantly (and in some cases, some features are removed). However, if you're not a fan using the latest features you can simply stick with the last Oreo Build of each ROM, i would say that's the "stable" one.

AEX's last Oreo Build was what I've been using sincen mid last year and i had no issue. The only reason i jumped to Pie was simply because it's Pie.

Might review some other ROM sha. Have my eyes on Pixel Experience and if Samsung Experience makes it way to Redmi 5 Plus then I'll also try that.

I would prefer the punch hole or even the water drop to be honest, sliders just ain't it - both motorised and manual.

yours is obviously not working from the box, join the tweaking thread. There are many nice people that will help you and suggest a good rom you can port to and all the things you should do to make the porting a fun and stressless experience.

Xiaomi offers good specifications which gives really good value for the money spent and by specifications, I don't mean the software. Everything asides MIUI on Xioami is great.

Most of what the OP said up there is true, especially the RAM management of thing was the straw that broke the camel's back for me and made me root the device to try out other softwares(ROMs).

I'll admit, just like you said, MIUI has the best battery Life but at the expense of you occasionally closing running apps which i think can be turned off in the settings Menu. (Didn't work for me though)

My advice ? Get a Xiaomi Device (which still gives value for money) Root and Flash a good ROM or if you're not into that, you can simply get any of the Xiaomi Devices with Stock Android.

Looool anything above 150ms is not recommended, unless you're playing against only your fellow Nigerians. If not, you can still play, but you'll be at a slight disadvantage.

If you play with people abroad with 300+ms then it's almost the same as playing against someone with a speed hack; one moment there are there and the next they are not - your network is registering their location at a 300 milliseconds interval and trust me, a lot can happen within that time frame.

As soon as i saw this post i thought maybe the launcher was the cause so i found a way to get to the launcher settings (Long Press on home screen and click on settings), from here i was able to remove the search bar. Thanks anyway.

I usually just drag and delete but i guess that has changed.

Not necessarily how good or how bad. It just states how long it takes for an action you take in game to register/deliver to the server.

Phone feels a lot more snappier and faster now, guess it's because of the removed genom kernel. They said they've also fixed the batter issue but it's too early to tell.

Clock Icon is stuck at the left side now and there is no way to change that. Also, the Google search can't be removed from the home screen.
