Romance / Re: GOING THROUGH A DEVASTATING BREAK UP. Please Help Me Friends!! Am Dying Silently by ptolomes: 7:40am On Jun 25, 2016
Bros, I can't blame you for falling for this woman, but the mistake started when you lost your mum ; you didn't need any emotional attachments all you needed was a friend, But you let yourself go, she on the other hand might just be along for the ride, and be that shoulder to cry on and afterwards she gets compensated for her time, from what you say she seem to be an attractive young woman who feels that she can do better than you, I mean like she feels if she can have you , she could always get someone better than you ,that's why she keeps drifting away, so far she hasn't met anyone in her life that can match your loyalty to her , so she will keep coming back to say she really loves you, when all she is doing is exploring the waters, and you keep falling back to the time she held you up when you needed so much emotional support , and keep thinking that she face you so much and deserves better from you, and that's why you keep going back, and the loss of your mother is what you need to deal with more , because you keep wanting to your own life because loosing this girl , is like loosing your mother , and you don't want to let go, so bro I think you need to give yourself time to grieve and heal, before a relationship , you used this girl to cover your grieving process to num the pain of loss, and when sh is not there you loose control, you need to let exercise more, talk more, if you have to talk to someone do it with someone who understands your grieving process and deal with yourself first, stop taking advantage of his girls emotions because she too needs some room to breath if she loves you she has to see it and know it, you don't have to teach her how to love you , cause that's what youvare doing

And those are the people who voted for change... It's quiet unfortunately Nigerians voted wrongly @2015.

I am surprised that you would stoop so low as to, blame this on change, what has voting for Buhari got to do with people targeting their own kins men , just to prove they are militants? There were militants in Yara aduas administration, even up to goodlucks regime, why sarcastically blame it on change did Buhari arm them? Abeg make we reconstruct our minds its very necessary

This is the very reason that God did not ask for silver nor Gold when He commanded the tithe I challenge anyone on this forum to show me where in the scripture that silver or gold was used as a measuring unit for the tithe, absolutely none, the thithe was always from the crops, in the fields , or goat's o sheep, and don't nobody start me off on the story that their was no currency at the time so they used their crops as collateral, bros all Na wash , the unit of money was sheckles of silver or gold, and for your info the thither was per house in order words your father if her pays tithe my brother you hae no business with tithing , because our father had done that, but we live in a time that pastors need to stay in business so they device means of making people afraid and interpreting scriptures to their advantage , make no mistake it would b profitable for any venture you us it for, after the scriptures are profitable for doctrine for reproof .....long and short bros go handle your brother matter you never reach to tithe and besides check your bible well you go see say n.a. every three years wey you suppose to pay am in the End of that third year, but pastors will not tell yu this and we suppose flex the tithe together with the priests jus check Deuteronomy sha just go handle your bros firs then we go yarn

I think these Dutch lawyers just want to seek relevance ; there was a time very fresh in my memory when Ireland wanted no part of Britain and the then prime minister denied it and told them that they were still part and parcel of the UK and that was the end of it , no Nigerian lawyers to take the case to ICC or whatever ...And Buhari has told you people that anyone asking for biafra is a reasonable offence I think we are on the right track

Well what gives me joy, is that young people are becoming more and more aware of themselves, instead of running around with bibles , and mantras in a bid to secure a husband , they are doing more soul searching and bringing out their best, funny enough there is no where from genesis to revelation that the bible actually mentioned money as a seed, it's always in refrence to seed of plants or procreation from man or animals, this seed matter na way for our men of God to rip people off , thanks to God we are waking up from the slumber sad

Religion / Re: Tithes And Offerings Are Eternal Principles by ptolomes: 1:31pm On Oct 29, 2013
idnoble135: Lemme make a little contribution to the thread.
First, i would that, it be clear that i'm not a pastor or whatsoever anyone might think. The thinking of some as regards to the subject that anyone who agrees to such is brain washed or a pastor is shameful.
That point made, i'd add to what has been said that the subject is yet in existence and is valid.
My point comes from the word of the Master himself. The words of the Master is greater than the words of every one in the scriptures. His words can never fail.
And i yet discover that the Lord did not intend that tithe should go extinct.
We know the Lord is supreme and He is greater than Moses. The authority He commands is one that Moses did not have.
And we read of how the Master showed that when He brought the law of Moses to a wrap and introduced Kingdom principles (which the law was trying to do).
The master showed it here,

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder, and whoever murders will be in
danger of the judgment.’
But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the
judgment. And whoever says
to his brother, ‘Raca!’ shall be
in danger of the council. But
whoever says, ‘You fool!’
shall be in danger of hell fire. Matthew 5:21-22

Here, the Lord showed Supremacy when He said, BUT I SAY UNTO YOU....
Again, the Master said on another occassion,

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou
shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a
woman to lust after her hath
committed adultery with her
already in his heart. Matthew 5:27-29

Again, we see the Lord's supremacy when He used the phrase "BUT I SAY UNTO YOU". The "BUT" showed He was bringing a change here.
But now, the Lord comes to the issue of tithe and behold what he said,
But woe to you Pharisees! For you tithe mint and rue
and every herb, and neglect
justice and the love of God.
These you ought to have
done, without neglecting the
others.
Luke 11:42ESV

Is it not revealing? The Lord did not use the phrase, "BUT I SAY UNTO YOU". Instead, He said, These you ought to have
done
. Thats one big reason to show the Lord never abolished it.
By this, we understand that the Lord never put an end to it, He commended it.
People ask why there was no record of tithe in the book of Acts of Apostles. And i tell them, the book of Acts shows the Church in its evolving stage. The Church as contained in Acts was not perfect, it was evolving. A good bible student will spot that maturity increased in the Church. The Church we read of in the early chapters is not the same in maturity as that we read of in the later chapters. The Church was still experiencing growth.
And the greatest reason why a thing should be done is not because the Apostles taught it but because the Master said so.
Tithing is not yet extinct. If the Master was aware of it and did not personally scrap it but approved it, i see no reason why some one should try to convince me other wise.
Shalom!
I am Glad that you made these quotations but come to think of it, did you notice that when he came to the tithing aspect he said WOE instead of BUT I tell you, why do you think He said WOE before He said this ought ye to have done, truth is tithe was never for God, But for those that He claimed as His inheritance, since they have no inheritance in Israel, and for that reason He commanded the Israelites to bring the tithes to His house for the Levites, this is quite understandable , you mention that the church in the book of acts was evolving? my goodness, did you ever read the accounts of the apostles in the book of acts? raising people from the dead, the lame walking , the dumb speaking, and liars being
struck dead instantly and buried, and you dare say evolving stage? I cant even begin to imagine what level of evolution that, you could use to compare with the church of today! do you realise that it was in the book of acts that Paul said to a man who offered him money so that the unction that was on Paul would also be on him, and paul said thy gifts perish with thee..., and he was struck blind, in your evolved church of today, people do this same thing they call it taping into the man of Gods anointing, this is your typical evolved church, compared it with the church in acts, and you will shut down for days, with your hands on your head..my dear the tithe them don turn the thing to extortion bros leave am, by the way quote on place in the old and new testament that the tithe was actually mentioned as money, apart from when it was instructed that when priest chooses a place to eat the tithe if you cant get to the venue, sell yours and send it in cash, through someone who will be going there since you cant get there, the person now gets to the venue and buys something equivalent to the cash apart from that mention one verse where the tithe was actually monetary I DARE YOU! shocked

I personally think that you breached a protocol that was instructed in the bible, Jesus said that when you go to a feast , don't take high table seats , that sometimes a more honourable person could come and you will begin with shame to go back and seat down, that instead you should seat behind and allow the host to bid you to come o the front seat! even though ushers are workers in the church you should always know that they are human beings and can sometimes allow their human nature to over ride their better judgement, but it would not be a reason for you to abandon your worship to God,I apologize sincerely for the attitude of that usher , perhaps he lacks the necessary training to accommodate the people of God. wink
Religion / Re: What Is Wrong With Paying Your Tithe In Church? by ptolomes: 4:14pm On Aug 21, 2013
FOLYKAZE:

It is either you are a thief or trying to venture into pastorpreneur. Did what you quote indicates money at all?

This is from the bible:

Deuteronomy 14
22 Be sure to set aside a tenth of all that your fields produce each year.
23 Eat the tithe of your grain, new wine and olive oil, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks in the presence of the Lord your God at the place he will choose as a dwelling for his Name, so that you may learn to revere the Lord your God always.
24 But if that place is too distant and you have been blessed by the Lord your God and cannot carry your tithe (because the place where the Lord will choose to put his Name is so far away),
25 then exchange your tithe for silver, and take the silver with you and go to the place the Lord your God will choose.
26 Use the silver to buy whatever you like: cattle, sheep, wine or other fermented drink, or anything you wish. Then you and your household shall eat there in the presence of the Lord your God and rejoice.

27 And do not neglect the Levites living in your towns, for they have no allotment or inheritance of their own.
28 At the end of every three years, bring all the tithes of that year’s produce and store it in your towns,
29 so that the Levites (who have no allotment or inheritance of their own) and the foreigners, the fatherless and the widows who live in your towns may come and eat and be satisfied, and so that the Lord your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.

From the above verse, tithe is to be paid yearly or every three years adding up all the previous years. This contradict fraudulent claims of monthly paying you and your pasthieves are spreading.

Tithe is farm produce and not money

Tithe can be convert to silver/money when you at distance place but you will use it to buy whatever pleases your heart.....meaning those farm produce you cant travel with but you can still buy farm produce when you get to the house of God. This contradict your holy-scam of opening account with the bank and sowing seed with money? Is church investment company?

Nothing like double double blessing in that verse, you pay tithe and praise the lord for giving it to you. Not the other way round, pay and be bless........you are a thief.

Paying tithe is jollyment..........your version is exploitation and ripping people's pocket dry.

YOU HAVE TURNED THE HOUSE OF GOD INTO HOUSE OF ROBBERS.

damosky12 and his team pastorpreneur are THIEVES

I wish there were more Christians like you, this charade of thieves who parade themselves as men God , have turned the house of God into something else, but am glad that there are some who still study their bible, some who make out time to read, these thieve in suits will be brought to book one day

this is a clear case of identity theft, and it should be punishable under the Nigerian law, whether they be male or female, the wise thing to do is to make it tough on her so she would know that that her crime is unacceptable in this country, that way if she is prosecuted no matter how long it takes, others will take caution.

well i was once informed that some group of Nigerians , were raising money for his first presidential campaign, and they forgot that OBAMA was American, and he would protect the core rights and interest of the American people, and If avoiding Nigeria is in the interest of the American people then let him avoid Nigeria, Lets face it our leaders are corrupt, they stink of corruption and any sane person who wants to do the right thing in their country should do the wise thing of staying away from Nigerian leaders.
