Politics‘IPOB Members’ Attack In South Africa Disgraceful’ - IPOB by PureFace1(op): 8:06am On Oct 04, 2019
The Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) has condemned what it described as barbaric and disgraceful the attack on peaceful protest of its members by South African police.

The group said the act was an indication that state sanctioned politics of savagery has taken firm hold in Cyril Ramaphosa’s South Africa.

In a statement on Thursday signed by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the group linked the attack to President Muhammadu Buhari who “influenced Ramaphosa to order his police to open fire on peaceful Biafran protesters.”

“The crass display of primitive police brutality and anti-democratic antecedents of the South African police is confirmation if any is needed, that black Africa is hopeless and doomed,” it said.

The group hinted that its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, would in a broadcast later in the day provide in-depth examination and analysis of the unfolding events in South Africa.

The cinematographer couldn’t hide his joy after organisers of AMA Awards rolled out nominations for the 2019 edition and his film had 12 nominations.

In a tweet, the filmmaker appreciated the organisers for the nomination saying it is such a great time for him.

Nodash also revealed that the nomination is coming barely a week after he got a message from the Nigerian Oscars selection committee saying his film, ‘The Delivery Boy’ was being considered for nomination at the 2020 Oscars.

Adekunle ‘Nodash’ Adejuyigbe’s ‘The Delivery Boy’ picked up 12 nominations including Best Actress, Best Achievement in Production Design, Best Achievement in Visual Effects, Best Achievement in Sound, Best Achievement in Cinematography, Best Achievement in Editing, Best Achievement in Screenplay, Best Nigerian Film, Best Young/Promising Actor, Best Director-First Feature Film, Best Director, and Best Film.

Since its release in 2018, the film has won "The Best Nigerian Film Award" at the African International Film Festival and "Best Supporting Actor" at the Real-Time International Film Festival (RTF).

'The Delivery Boy’ tells the story of Amir, a teenage orphan boy, who runs into a young girl while trying to escape a mob. She is a prostitute with an agenda and he has a bomb vest under his dress. They are both running out of time and they soon realise they need each other to achieve their goals.

Before the night ends, they will have to contend with each other, Amir’s group, the knowledge of the terrible secrets that made them who they are, and the consequences of living in a society that doesn’t care. Their journey takes them through the underbelly of the city exposing the hidden backside of the African Society and its dangerous culture of silence in the presence of evil.

They like anything yellow. Which is why that region has the highest bleachers in Africa trying to meet up.

And then you hear things like "Igbo women like to pursue Yoruba men".
And then you wonder if it is Igbo women in lagos that do the wooing in the first place.

Or maybe they expected Igbo women in Lagos to reject them when yoruba men who are everywhere approach them in the offices, schools, or on the streets.
Inferiority complex all the same.

BusinessNigerian Customs Sabotaging Igbo Businesses - Ohanaeze Youths by PureFace1(op): 10:29am On Oct 03, 2019
Ohaneze to FG: Nigerian Customs sabotaging Igbo businesses

…Wants CGC probed

The Ohaneze Youth Council has raised the alarm over the ongoing, relentless extortion and exploitation of Igbo traders and businessmen in the country particularly Lagos state by corrupt officials of the Nigerian Customs Service.

Embittered by the rampant extortion, intimidation and harassment of businessmen going about their legitimate businesses, the Ohaneze Youth Council, led by Comrade Igboayaka O. Igboayaka, has also called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Assembly to investigate the activities of the Comptroller-General of Customs, Col. Hameed Ali (rtd) and his field officials in the Lagos area over their alleged bid to strangulate Igbo businesses.

He group regretted the rot that has eaten deep into the very fabric of the Nigerian Customs Service whose officials no longer hide their inclination to extortion and corruption perpetrated especially against Igbo traders doing legitimate business.

According to statement issued by the group, Ohaneze Youth Council alleged that through verified complaints, officials of the Customs Service has continued to request some undue and illegal levies from Igbo importers as a condition for clearing goods.

“They also stop Igbo traders on the roadways and demand illegal fees. They employ the use of coercion, threats, closure of shops and seizure of goods, to unlawfully extract money from their victims,” the statement read.

They end up smoking and drinking their lives away with the money the made and go back to beg again with sticks and bottles.

Its only population that makes it a mega city. And nothing more.
Check the definition of a mega city if you can read and comprehend

A megacity is a very large city metropolitan area, typically with a population of more than 10 million people. Precise definitions vary: the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs in its 2014 "World Urbanization Prospects" report counted urban agglomerations having over 10 million inhabitants.

kayjay69:
To call Lagos a megacity is an insult to megacities.
What would we then call Singapore, London, New York, Vancouver, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Munich, Barcelona etc

You see this is my problem with Nigerians. Even in this day of internet where you can simply go on the web, type in "megacity" on google and see what comes up, we still have this ill-conceived notion that Lagos or any other city in Nigeria is a megacity. Dubai, a city in the UAE, fast and still developing, possibly at the very least 100 years ahead of Lagos, is still not satisfied with the level of exposure and development. They want to do more, they aspire to do more. The evidence of what they are doing and what they plan to do is there for all to see. You do not need to pay some unemployed fool (such as This OP) to go write a blog about the city, it is there for millions to testify to both now and for the foreseable future. Megacity without meaningful development. Transportation Zero. Quality Housing Zero. Airport Zero. Hospital Zero. Security Apparatus Zero. Ambience Zero. Roads Zero. Cleanliness Zero. But yet some fools will argue, i simply don't argue whether its gullible, stupidity or a combo or both with an extra serving of madness.
We have got to start calling spades by their names.
Lagos is a slum and Nigeria as a whole is a shithole. Our leaders both past and present have made it to be as it is and we the followers are not helping matters.
You are just an Illiterate

Lagos is a mega city according to Google and Wikipedia
