Lol typical afonja that has never traveled out of Oyo state speaking, oyo Ibadan big for nothing city full of sh*t
During Biafran war every structure in the East was destroyed we single handedly rebuilt it, come to the east and see how beautiful it is, you will be ashamed of the west region that never experienced civil war living in mud houses , our villages are like towns in the West, it is a law for every Igbo man to have a well built house in his village before getting married, Yorubas inherit mud houses from their parents and live with their grandparents under one muddy roof house
Lol I have been to the East and I Know what I am saying

I served in the East and the East is still the Toilet full of shit

You guys think you can use the fact that Yoruba don't travel to your region to circulate propaganda

The only place with some things in all your states is the Capital and the Capital is still even a shithole, you still have hut houses with raffia roofs in this century in your region and there are still as much mud houses and brown roofs In your region.

What are you building lol?

Your whole region is not even bigger than Oyo State and that is what you have been building shamelessly for more than 50 years with the allocation and resources and with all your building you still can't wait to evacuate it to other place in the country or outside the country.

This is South East below with as much brown roofs I even saw hut houses in your region

Keep deceiving yourself, the joke is on you

Nairaland GeneralLagos Govt Gives South Africa Returnees N20,000 Each by PureFace1(op): 3:34pm On Sep 19, 2019
The Lagos State Government on Wednesday gave the sum of N20,000 to each of the 315 Nigerians evacuated from South Africa.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the fresh batch of returnees arrived a week after another 187 Nigerians fleeing xenophobia came back from South Africa.

The joyous returnees arrived at the Cargo Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 7.21p.m aboard an Air Peace B777 aircraft with registration number 5N-BWI.

The flight, which originated from the OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg was received by Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission and Air Peace Chairman, Mr Allen Onyema.

Also on ground was Mr Jermaine Sanwo-Olu, Senior Special Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Diaspora.

Presenting the token on behalf of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Mr Jermaine Sanwo-Olu said that the money was a palliative measure for the returnees.

Sanwo-Olu said that the returnees from Lagos State would be transferred to the Lagos State Employment Trust Fund, where they would be trained on skill acquisition.

Dabiri-Erewa told newsmen that the returnees would be profiled according to their states and Local Governments of origin to complement the Federal Government’s effort in reintegrating them.

She said apart from giving the returnees stipends to get back to their respective states, there was also a medical team on ground to provide assistance to those with medical conditions.

Dabiri-Erewa also noted that the Nigeria High Commission was working with the South African authorities to reduce the unnecessary delays which had so far characterised the evacuation exercise.

On his part, Onyema told newsmen that some Nigerians had been stranded in South Africa for over four years and could not return home due to financial difficulties and lack of proper documentation.

He said, “What Air Peace is doing to freely evacuate Nigerians from South Africa as part of our support for the President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration and we are doing it wholeheartedly.

“The airline is only asking the government to do what it has been doing to facilitate the smooth return of the Nigerians.

“We are not asking for any refund because we knew that the cost of evacuating the Nigerians will exceed N300 million at the end of the day.

“We are so happy that even our pilots and crew that went to South Africa refused to take their allowances saying that it is their own way of showing patriotism,” Onyema said.

He commended the Nigerian government for the matured diplomatic way it was handling the xenophobia issue with its South African counterpart and called on other well-meaning Nigerians to assist in the resettlement of the returnees.

One of the returnees, Chuks Okoma from Delta State, thanked God for sparing his life considering the ordeal faced by Nigerians in South Africa.

Okoma said that he had been in South Africa for six years without a job and sleeping on the street.

Another returnee, Michael Udoh, narrated how some foreigners were burnt in South Africa, adding that they were unable to move around.

Udoh, who had been in South Africa for six years, said that the country refused to renew his work permit after it expired, thus making him jobless.

Nairaland GeneralFemi Otedola Reportedly Takes Over Majek Fashek's Hospital Bills by PureFace1(op): 12:06pm On Sep 18, 2019
Respite has come for Majek Fashek as Femi Otedola reportedly takes over his medical bills.

Help has finally come for Majek Fashek as his hospital bills have been reportedly taken over by billionaire business mogul, Femi Otedola.

According to blogger, Linda Ikeji, the benevolent businessman has decided to foot all the medical bills for the reggae music icon who has been admitted at a London based hospital. His manager, Uzoma Day confirmed this to Linda Ikeji during a chat.

"We really appreciate him for coming through and taking care of the hospital bills. Its a huge relief and we are grateful. We however still need more support from well-meaning Nigerians to take care of other expenses," he said.

This latest development is coming days after Majek's manager had debunked the claims he was dead.

According to him, he was still in the hospital and only required prayers and funds from well-meaning Nigerians.

"Majek Fashek is not dead" - Manager confirms

According to him, the reports on social media about Majek Fashek's death are mere rumours.

He made this known via the reggae music icon' Instagram page on Sunday, September 15, 2019.

He also said the singer is responding to treatment and would require more donations and prayers from well-meaning fans and individuals.

"9:30 PM from London in Queen Elizabeth Hospital. Today is Sunday, this is to inform all the well-wishers, fans and lovers of Majek Fashek back in Nigeria that Majek is not dead, he is very fine. I just stepped out now because of this ongoing music that people are saying that he is dead. Let's not wish him dead, let's join hands and pray for him.

"For those of you that are praying, prayers are working, every day there is a gradual improvement. We need funds, we need money for maintenance. The notable Nigerians that deposited for his medication...but we still need money for other things. We also heard that people are raising money which is without our consent..." he said.

Umenka Uzoma's statement is coming after news of the reggae icon's reported death started making headlines. It would be recalled that a few days ago, the manager announced that Majek Fashek was gravely ill and hospitalised.
