Januzaj's presence alone on the pitch is a big advantage. A few seconds in and he's won a freekick already... and a GOALL!!

dademola: prior to last season's 7-0 demolition by bayern, wasnt barca's defence statistically impressive??
City are no Bayern.

I don't get where all these myths about Barca's defense is coming from (probably due to the Bayern drubbing last season). They still have one of the meanest defense in Europe this season, having conceded only 10 goals in La Liga so far - bettered only by Lille, Roma, Bayern and Atletico Madrid. Man City, on the other hand, have conceded 18 goals in the league alone. As for the attack, City have only scored 3 more goals than Barca this season (which isn't so bad considering they haven't had Messi for a long time), so there's really not much to separate them in that aspect. If someone's got their stats for all competitions this season, that would be more interesting I guess.

I feel so sorry for City come February/March, especially if Messi would be fully fit. I can't believe people are writing Barca off. smh.

superstar1: attitude, commitment and leadership -- Yes
Class --- N-O.
Katsumoto: How many classy midfielders enter the pitch wanting to fight everyone?
Okay, I retract the 'class' part. But you get what I mean: his personality certainly wasn't the most desirable, but as a professional, you could trust him to get the job done.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Purist(m): 11:45pm On Dec 10, 2013
superstar1: which nonsense model professional. he is an agbero without class. simple.

he thinks being a manager is that easy, well it is easy but being in a successful one is the one that is not easy. he saw how easy it was in his stint at managing a championship team.
He might be a complete ässhole, but you really can't question his class, attitude and commitment to the job.

Guys, Moyes will come good. No matter what happens this season, I refuse to join the bandwagon of those that want Moyes sacked after only 6 months in charge. Fergie in his wisdom envisaged this situation well ahead when he enjoined the fans in his farewell speech to "stand by your new manager". Having said this, Moyes (and the board) really needs to buckle down now and assess the situation critically. A 15 point lead at this stage isn't insurmountable, and while I no longer expect us to win the league, I firmly believe a top four finish is more than achievable. Glory Glory Man United!

by far the most talented young english player in the UK. he's just taking the piss now on the premier league as if it's his bread & butter. to think fergie allowed a precocious talent like this slip away is criminal.

Moyes:

"Sometimes Wayne might need to play up front and Shinji will play behind. We have to make sure we have alternatives if Wayne or Robin [van Persie] are injured. Shinji was excellent tonight but he's also good on the left."

I guess this means we'll keep seeing Kagawa on the left than in the hole. undecided

elampiro: Does Madrid need votes to win trophies. Being a fan of Madrid or Cameroun or England or Germany doesn make any difference, but being a fan of one of the two players who are vying for the world best and making it open has so much influence on the voters from the FIFA boss. He has already given the direction the votes should go.
They might not need votes to win trophies, but it can always be argued that the affiliations of football's top-dogs can influence outcomes of games and eventual success of the team in question (going by your logic). Not long ago (and even till date), people were accusing Platini (and/or UEFA) of favouring Barcelona due to their ridiculous dominance. Imagine if Blatter were to be a self-professed Barca fan and even a honorary member of the club, the footballing world would have gone berserk with all manner of conspiracy theories, especially given how Barca have been so successful in the last 5 years.

We can only take some little consolation from the knowledge that whoever gets on the final short-list, gets there on merit and that is recognition enough in my opinion!

You are living proof. You sound hella effeminate, despite your noticeable attempts to disguise your state with your supposed love for weapons. If anyone's in doubt, they only need to observe the manner in which you've emphasized your points repeatedly, as if to suggest that you're trying so hard to convince yourself that you're a man. grin
