elampiro: I don't think I need to argue again after learning that Platini supports Ribery. How about the fact that Sepp Blatter is a fan AND honorary member of Real Madrid? |
Ihedinobi: Just the "gayness". *shrugs*This isn't true. |
MyJoe: Lol.Point taken. ![]() |
Ihedinobi: You gay too?You have something against gay people? Plus, according to your logic, dislike for weapons = gay. ![]() |
elampiro: Before this Swedish match, Ronaldo had performed well against all the big oppositions he played against, including Barcelona. In the classico matches, Ronaldo eclipsed Messi in all of them. You gotta wonder how Portugal ended up having to qualify via play-offs if he was all that. Don't get me wrong, I think he's been fantastic and would actually be deserving of the ballon d'or. However, I don't quite buy the increasingly poplar notion that he's clearly the favourite to win it. Messi and Ribery have just as much chance, and left to me, I'd vote for Messi over the other two. |
Ihedinobi: Why do you think I don't know about him? You're gay is all. What human male does not like weapons? We may, for moral and other reasons, not care to use them to hurt others, but we like them just the same. Ihedinobi: Act macho kwa! How? I'm just saying that human males tend to like things that involve strength of body and mind. From childhood we play with wooden swords, toy guns and stuff like that. It's always weird to meet a male who doesn't like guns or knives.WTH?? ![]() |
elampiro: He is the president of FIFA, hence he shouldn't been seen to be taking side. His comments go a long way to influencing people's decisions.I hope you realize the same Blatter is both a fan and a honorary member of Real Madrid. |
I think it tells a lot that it's now that Messi has been hampered by injuries that Ronaldo now has a real chance of winning the award. Looking at the periods they were both fit, I genuinely think Messi edges it and thus deserves the award (yes, for a 5th consecutive time). However, we all know we football fans are often easily swayed by the most recent performances, and that's why after a series of great performances recently (in the absence of a fit Messi) which culminated in a hat-trick against an average Swedish team, all the media world over suddenly believe he should get the ballon d'or. |
by the way, all this talk of lusting after Kay 17. I could have sworn I'd seen (m) beside that username at some point in the past. ![]() |
Uyi Iredia: Gatz contributions here ?Not at this time; I just dey observe. This thread is such a comic relief though. ![]() |
Uyi Iredia: Wlecome PuristThank you, thank you. You're far too kind. ![]() |
Manchester United have completed 44 interceptions in the opposition's half this season, no team in the Premier League have completed more.Anyone else seeing what Moyes is getting at with this squad? |
lol, last I checked, anyone is free to start a discussion of their choice. Come up with something more interesting, and elampiro and coogar will abandon their argument asap. ![]() |
elrony: With those two unfit ninjas??...might be catastrophic tho!!!Except that Lord Rooney will not entertain that possibility. My only worry is we'll probably see more of Giggs in CM in the coming weeks. ![]() |
chamotex: Carrick out for 6 weeks. My worst fear.or maybe it's time to revisit the Cleverley-Anderson combo. |
I don't mean to join the coogar-elampiro argument, but pardon me if I'm mistaken -- isn't Rooney expected to have more possession, more passes, higher accuracy, and more assists than RVP since he's played mostly as an SS/AM or even CM at times? RVP is the one leading the line, who do you expect him to be assisting or passing the ball to? The opposition goalie? |
Rumour has it this is the actual reason CR7 left United. btw, anyone has an idea who's sporting that böner? ![]() |
Eurosport: TALKING POINT |
I'm particularly happy De Gea got a clean sheet today. |
coogar: 5th on the table - thanks to sunderland & newcastle. We should be 4th, but for Ramires' dive. |
Glory Glory Man United!!! ![]() |
VAN PERSIIEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!! |
I'm feeling very confident about tomorrow's game. In fact, I expect an emphatic victory. |
coogar: i am a vet!Little wonder! ![]() |
Gaddem coogar. Are you a biologist or something? ![]() |
jayriginal: @Op ![]() |
Well, luckily, the other teams in the group also played a bore draw. |
Ashley Young has been impressive. |
Just look at the number of chances Kagawa has created since he moved to the middle. |
Young wins us a penalty again... as usual! ![]() |
The fact that Valencia appears to work like a donkey on the pitch does not mean he performs his defensive duties more than Nani. Nani is a better player defensively. The problem with Nani is just that he loses the ball just as much as he recovers them (and that's because he's a risk taker), that's why people think Valencia "helps out the defense". However, if we consider Valencia's tendency to blast the ball at opponents when attempting to cross (and losing possession in the process), he's not any better in that regard either. |

This thread is such a comic relief though.
