Happy birthday beautiful. Your parents did well for you. At least, in the future, no man will come bragging that you want to have what your parents were never able to give you (that’s one of their excuses). It is important for parents to have a good background story and standard for their girls, so tomorrow they won’t be intimidated by someone claiming they want what they’ve never experienced or eaten. Parents, do all the great and expensive stuff for your girls so that when they grow up, no man will degrade them. That is, in addition to raising them well with good values. |
Horrific and sad. I hope the cause of death will be investigated. Asides that, on another matter concerning manholes, something needs to be done about all these ones in Nigeria left open. Some years ago I fell with one full leg into one due to the cover being stolen by these street boys … Abi is it pothole… the round metal cover was missing sha. I didn’t fall through as my other leg was out. Quickly picked myself up. Taking the round metal covers off the holes in the street is akin to murder. People don’t care for life here. I can’t even walk down some streets without fear, you will see big holes that the ends of go several feet down. So it’s either you look out for yourself or fall in and nobody will know your whereabouts, those in charge of the roads or who opened the holes don’t care. R.I.P to the girl. |
adecz:Taking the chips and eggs and I’m out. I don’t know what the rest are. |
There are too many male dominated spaces in this country. In my opinion, there are not enough hang out spots for women alone. Everywhere you look, it’s a bar or disguised bar for men. Even when it’s a place that women can go and not be approached, harrassed or disturbed, it’s usually ridden with so many kids. Any place that kids don’t overflow in, someone will come and create alcohol business in that area, next you will just hear ‘don’t go there, it is a man’s hang out spot.’ Women need places that are majorly occupied by them to hang out and feel safe in. Don’t tell me about gender discrimination when it comes to this, because - aren’t men discriminating against us by having so many hang out spots that are not safe for women to also exist in? Based on all the harassment, this woman’s story included, I wouldn’t bat an eyelid if some beautiful hang out spots, bars and clubs were created, where men are not allowed or made to pay extra, and it’s not for kids due to it being an actual adult space, though for women alone. That’s one solution I see, because this needs to stop. This oppression needs to stop. |
This is beautiful ❤️ It’s a wonderful start for her, a booster for her self esteem. From this she can have that confidence that she is meant for greater things and go for them. |
Please don’t avoid them o, marry your spec. Before you will marry one innocent middle aged woman and start making her life miserable because what you actually wanted was gen Z. |
nnamdi640:You are angry that they have expectations. Don’t worry, you will understand why it isn’t criminal for a woman to have expectations when you’re older. |
autoez:Leave the agbayas. |
Most men would not tolerate this from a woman - if it was the other way round. |
Sallah food. We thank God.
|
Moi moi and garri … seems to be many peoples’ Sunday food.
|
JayEdm:God will heal your heart ❤️ and give you a better perspective that appreciates your effort. |
Wananonly:Don’t mind the African man who like many other African men is looking for a superwoman to save him - while other races are supermen, saving their women. |
Jollof rice with vegetable soup containing fish. Choose how you want to be served. We like veggies, so I just made the vegetable soup, to give a different edge and variety to the taste and the preparation of the jollof rice.

Spaghetti mixed with spinach and fish. ‘Pomo’ added.

triplechoice:My post didn’t cover all reasons and was directed at men whereas women are involved - its good that you pointed that out. Personally I don’t feel that my opinions on men are wrong though. You are right about the women and the variety of reasons, but I’m also not wrong. |
I think men only care because they fear the loss of pristine virgin vaginas, the scarcity of pure brides for marriage. You know, because they only see women as a commodity to be preserved until needed - not a human being with a sense of style and a beautiful being that just wants to try out so many ways of looking good, enjoying fashion trends until they outgrow them. On the other hand some men promote this kind of thinking, because they need it as an excuse to prey on little girls. Many of these kids just feel cool, they just feel like they’re having adventures and following fashion, but it’s the men crying about it that make all they are doing to be dirty. By the time some of these kids get lied to and taken advantage of sexually, they will face a world that tells them what they never knew - that they were mistreated due to the fact that some sex oriented, sex obsessed people believe that the only reason for that dressing is to seduce them. Some men think you came to this world only for them, if you are dressing with skin showing, it must be to catch their eyes. Funny enough, I have nothing against covering up, I even think it protects the body more and protects kids from pedophiles, but these pedophiles exist amongst people who focus unnecessarily on the bodies of strangers, getting aroused and therefore reading sexual and dark meanings into their dressings which match the pedophiles’ obscene fantasies and triggers. Imagine many men here saying that these kids are all having sex and doing hookup… kids that watched cool kid shows and just felt like dressing like those they watched… Men involved themselves in a dirty lifestyle that doesn’t allow them to think straight. Now you men that immersed yourselves into a dirty lifestyle that gave you a dirty mindset will go and inflict these young kids with suffering based on that. The assumption made on these clothes is a suffering inflicted on children by those with dirty minds and lifestyles. The girls have to hide themselves because of men who chose to corrupt themselves and now won’t let little girls and women live in peace. |
chidiokay:What were your examples of how to be a woman and stay a woman, again? You mentioned that we should not misbehave where we are squatting. Made references to Churchill getting another woman so fast (to me that seems like I’m being reminded that I’m easily replaceable, not valuable and should behave, having that in mind. And now - Adam was lonely. Hinting that we women are only here because of men. I think making someone’s existence worthless, and only to be worthy when they completely live for someone else’s pleasure alone, is slavery. Btw I don’t know about your primary six. There are other ways blacks have enslaved other blacks, which don’t include colonialism. |
chidiokay:Slavery exists from white to black From black to black From light skin to dark skin and vice versa From men to women And from women to men So don’t give me no talk about not being white. Especially with how you want to claim it’s a mens world like women were born to be slaves to them. |
chidiokay:Okay ‘massa’. We be good an’ docile. Juss don beat us with the whip, massa. |
pocohantas:😂 I love your cutting sarcasm. Like flipping the script. The thing they tell women to do when it’s them that got cheated on. And this went right over many dudes heads. |
Shidinky:Here’s your crown 👑 and your glass slippers 🥿 Princess Cinderella. |
Kaczynski:How about those learning Japanese? |
My own is to no longer tell people my age but give my birth date for them to calculate. I’d rather ask a question than answer yours. Why are you ‘age watchers’ so fixated on people’s real ages, looking for liars all about, why are you so suspicious of everybody? It’s just so annoying for those of us that don’t lie about our ages. You never accept the truth even when told. |
adecz:I didn’t think of sharing o, just ate and enjoyed 😄 fair to say I forgot. |
adecz:Your post made me cook plenty fresh okra soup and stew, with eba. ![]() |
People don’t understand and may never understand that power is transient. I will find it hard to believe in the authenticity of any old persons humility, because my life experience includes mostly people that stick to certain groups and have a lot of pride mocking others as much as they can just because they have it all now. |

i can use slippers
