Sports / Re: 8 Cameroon Athletes Go Missing From Commonwealh Games In Australia (PIC) by puyaca(m): 8:15am On Apr 12, 2018
"I just hope they're out enjoying the delights of Queensland for a little while and will do the right thing and come back to the Games and go home appropriately." Now this sounds funny a bit , but the actions of the athletes is a bit sad . They are going to be caught eventually . And if they are caught . are they going to be allowed to remain in the country ? Very doubtful ..

Sports / Re: Nigeria Vs Germany: U20 World Cup (0 - 1) On 11th June 2015 by puyaca(m): 9:35am On Jun 11, 2015
This team is supposed to be our proverbial "Dream Team" . Untouchable ! domineering !! But for some reasons the team is turning out to be a mediocre team . Not because of lack of players , but just for some reasons probably best known to the coach . Whatever eventually happens to the team , win , the coach takes the glory , gets knocked out , he takes the blame .
Sports / Re: Throwback Photo Of Stephen Keshi As An Anderlecht Player by puyaca(m): 1:04pm On May 11, 2015
How dare somebody refer to Keshi as an average player
The longest serving Super Eagles captain from 1984-1994
A player with a good goal scoring record as a defender , both at club and national level
A player that was so important to Anderlecht then that it was a tug of war to release him for international matches ( then the clubs had a final say on the availablility of players for national duties .
Even when he was released Anderlecht will provide a private jet to fly him straight back to Belgium for crucial games ( An average player ? )
Mind you , Anderlecht was on of the top teams in Europe then .
Keshi was nicknamed the big boss as far back as his playing days , cos he was the most influential Nigerian footballer then , more like he was the richest amongst his peers then . He paved the way for other Nigerian players to play professional football in Europe .

Keshi an average player ?? Please , Keshi was a brilliant footballer by all standards . I may not be his fan as a coach , but as a footballer , Keshi was outstanding . From his NNB days when they made Ogbe stadium a slaughter ground with the likes of Sunday Eboigbe , Bright Omokaro , Humphrey Edobor ........ till when he left the shores to ply his trade abroad .

Education / Re: July 10 1999 Massacre In Obafemi Awolowo University Ile-ife by puyaca(m): 3:26pm On Jul 10, 2014
The cult attack was a retaliation for an incident that had occurred some months earlier , when some cult members were apprehended at the staff quarters having harassed some students in front of Mozambique hall (a female hostel ) in the early hours of one Sunday morning like that . The cultists , about 10 of them were given maximum shi-shi as was the norm . Few weeks after ,the school was closed down (and i think all tertiary institutions ) because NANS had threatened to disrupt Nigeria 99 , (under 20 world cup that Nigeria hosted ) primarily to press for the re-reinstatement of Tony Fash former SU president of OAU.

When school was re-opened after Nigeria 99 , the crack that existed within the ranks of the SUG had deepened , there were accusations and counter accusations , i think from the Faro faction , that NANS sold out and collected money from the Govt , so that there wasn't a disruption of the tournament.
If not for the crack within the ranks of the SUG it would have been difficult for that incident to take place , cos there were enough evidence to suggest that something was going to happen and nobody took action, i remember even when school was re-opened we had rumors that cultist were planing an attack , and they were going to strike during exam period . On the day of the incident there were too many suspicious movements , funny plate numbers and the fact that Kegites were having gyration did not help matters at all . This was a SU, an Awo hall that would have mobilized and reacted over the slightest hint of suspicious movement . Yet nobody made a move until the cultists struck around after 4 in the morning . Everybody was caught off guard . There was a story that Faro (PRO) , tried to wake Africa up from sleep, ( Africa had left the kegites gyration and retired to his room , with Tunde Oke after taking some holy water i guess ) ran through the bush path from Faj to Awo hall , woke Africa up , but because of the holy water he had taken , Africa would not follow him . The story then was that Africa told Faro that they'll deal with it in the morning . So Faro left and ran for his own life. The cultists killed Africa and Tunde on their beds . Later Faro was accused of not doing enough to wake Africa up and then there was another counter accusation from Faro that Legacy , the SUG president was complacent in the whole matter . I really do not think Omole (the VC ) new anything about the attack , although Efosa , one of the prime suspects that was caught in the aftermath , did mention Omole's name , he later said in an interview that he only said that as he knew that was the only thing that will make them spare his life . Of course Omole was enemy number one within the whole university community , so everybody wanted him out and it was that event that led to his removal as VC . Efosa's case dragged and dragged as far as the Burkina presidency (that i know of, as i was in school till then ), OAU students were always going to court whenever the case was for hearing . I am not sure what eventually happened to the guy . The cultist that attacked were believed to have been selected from various tertiary institutions in the country then and they were apparently led by the ones from OAU that were caught earlier .

Romance / Re: Meeting A Guy For The 1st Time And The Next Day He Calls Baby Or Sweetheart by puyaca(m): 12:30pm On Dec 21, 2013
I think the word 'baby or babe ' has become more of a word used to compliment girls and ladies , these days , cos you always see the delight on their faces when somebody calls them that and the person calling does not necessarily have to be somebody they are having a relationship with . or have you not heard of girls calling other girls baby/babe ? Am sure there are a lot of girls wishing somebody meeting them even for a second calls them baby .

So @ op , its possible that the guy fancies you enough to call u baby , but in my own world it doesn't guarantee that he likes you enough to even ask you out . So see it as a compliment . But its possible like somebody suggested that the guy is just jumping the gun . And if you LIKE him ( which is a possibility ) and you ask him not to call you baby again you might just end up driving him away and preventing what could have been.

I know most ladies will deny it here , but they love it when they are called baby or babe by anybody .

Blazinraj01: Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage make good music but their video concept is the problem.

I think the video concept is cool , though i always believe there is always room for improvement . But Seriously , I really respect your opinion ,and i like people who can actually look at creatives and see something that every other person is not seeing . That said , what other direction do you think the video should have taken aside from this ? kindly share .

Greatest Ife ! Articulate IFe !! Ever conscious IFe !!! Greatest gbo gbooooo !!!!! ......... I remember the the days just after the attack , most parents have come to whisk away their wards , few of us stayed back in skool . Awo hall was like a grave yard(i was in block 4 then and i stayed in Awo throughout ) and you cant just go out to go and pee in the middle of the night , although the student vigilante group was always on patrol singing and trying to raise the morale of students , by the second day after the attack , you will just hear shout like ... greatest Awoites ! e jade e je ka lo to ooo ( everybody come out lets go and pee ooooo )in the middle f the night, the next thing doors will start opening and you will see everybody coming out to go and pee.

How will i forget the congress @ Amphi later that Saturday , particularly the rendition of the school anthem, i was so , so , so solemn .

A lot of credit to Legacy the SU president then , Faro the PRO , these 2 escaped death just by a whiskers and all other members of the exco for standing very firm after the attack .
