I was having a conversation with my mum this evening, and I was about scooping a portion of beans from the pot with a metallic spoon while it was cooking, she quickly stopped me saying it would burn. I have also heard this same thing about jollof rice, I really dunno why the food will get burnt because of metal. I asked her, she said she doesn't know, that it was what she was told by my grandmother when she was younger.

Please share your views on this, I need to be illuminated.

I am not in anyway tribalistic.I have nothing against the "Binis".I was happy when a Bini man became the VC for the first time in 2009 after 39 years of establishment of the University of Benin.

Mind you,I got admitted into UNIBEN,when Prof E.A.C. Nwanze was the VC and I know what I am talking about regarding tribalism and nepotism,when it comes to admission of new students since Prof Oshodin became VC.

I am a very objective person and would disregard your insults!

But frankly speaking,the standards of the University of Benin has gone down since Prof Oshodin became VC.

UNIBEN was the second best university in the Commonwealth in 2006 and the best university in Nigeria between 2006 and 2009.

But where is UNIBEN now in ranking of Universities?

Be objective! Be more concerned about academic development and excellence and not where the VC hails from. If a Bini man can take UNIBEN to her glory days,I would be very glad!

No. Pain relief like panadol, felvin, that's what i mean. Don't take drugs that a made for menstral pains. As long as you know the pain isn't caused by an infection.

you're not alone. I do throw up too. My period cramps are just hell for me. So like 2 days before my period i do take pain relief drugs to reduce the cramps, because if i don't, i'm as good as dead.
