I always tell Nigerian youths that making money isn't hard, but staying focused is. One way I urge them to make legit money is through book writing.

A lot of Nigerian youths always think they are smart. Honestly, they are. Now, since you're smart, why not you write a book on that thing you're smart on and make a killing? The next thing you'll hear is, "But I'm not a writer like you."

But you're smart, so be wise. By the way, who told you I'm a writer? I'm not — I'm just like you, but the difference is: I discovered an oil and I'm drilling it with my fingers — I can't wait for shovel or other drilling equipment.

The oil and gas I discovered some years ago is: Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP). Ever since I realized mastering this business is way better than working in an oil company, I never looked back and NEVER will.

If someone like me, who is from an oil producing state/community does not care about working in an oil company anymore, why should you?

Ever since I started this business or should I say, I took this business seriously, I have never lacked money and never will.

Buhari's induced hunger pushed me into this business and I'm grateful for that. At least, the worst president has pushed me to financial freedom.

In this business, I have made 300k in a day, 200k in a day, 100k in a day, 50k in a day, and the least is 5k in a day.

Yesterday, was a bad day. In one of my accounts, I made only £21 (only kindle) which is approximately 10k. I didn't care because not everyday will be great.

I went to bed and woke at 5 AM to finish a book I was writing on my PC. Before switching on the computer, I checked my account with my phone and saw £76 — which is about 35k.

So, in less than 7 hours, while I was asleep, I made 35k. These books have no Amazon ads, promo, or review, yet they never stop making money.

Oga take this advise and you will never ever complain again. I'm a blogger too but I have stopped many times.

What I learnt
1. I was making money only when my posts were on page 1. I had two post on page one then.
I made only $46. In 2 years using WordPress and AdSense.

2. I stopp because I no get money to renew domain after the two years.

3. I made more money as a freelance writer that was why I could sustain the blog then.

4. Till date , I cant withdraw my AdSense because its not up to 100$.

5. It took me one month to make $50 in amazon kdp book publishing business.
Its better than blogging and I don't spend on hosting and the rest.

6. I will blog again for another reason. Not AdSense since I can now handle the finances.

7. I notice google favors blogger blogs in search.

Funny how, days after purchasing each of this names, I did outbound for them, no response whatsoever.
Then months after, I decided to repeat outbound for them, before they sell. Not allike name get interests on first try.I would advise not given up after a first few outbound.You could give it time then do outbound again, this time with price. Sweet price between $150 - $350. And who knows, you might just be lucky.

I use bing as my search engine, and I try as much as possible to get to page 14 before giving up.

You can just take it slow, may be one name per day. A neutral person might say outbound it's easy, shebi it's just to be sending ordinary mail. But that shit is actually tiring. But just a single purchase notification mail from Simon. And you forget the stress you went through �

Another update on squadhelp from this morning, I got $16 from another contest I participated in about 2-3 months ago as well... It was still a $100 contest and the contest holder rated my submission and 5 others' under the 'love it' category... apparently the person never selected 1 winner out of the 6 (me + 5 others) so the money was split equally among us. What a wawu

Based on this too (and quite a few 'like' it ratings) I got promoted to Tier A creative, meaning I have access to higher paid contests. Na wah...



My little advice for generating brandable names? You MUST listen to what the person wants, the name must have a deeper meaning or be clever...Also, you must have knowledge about the industry of the contest.... And you MUST 'sweet talk' the person into liking the name again, based on your knowledge of the industry (Marketing psychology). There were contests for a spare part created in the aeronautics industry which would cut down flying time of some sort aircrafts by 30% or something, so they needed a name for the spare part and had conditions like the name should sound serious, not start with letter A, not have the word 'aero' in it.... OMO I respected myself and looked for another contest



Someone asked for a name for a new brand of packed snacks they are launching in chain supermarkets in America soon... They wanted it to reflect quick, portable, yummy and fun... the winning name was munchables.com (do you see the 'clever' play on words?)... You have to use synonyms, antonyms and rhymes (for examples 'snacks' are related to 'food', 'eating'.... google the synonyms of these words and 'munch' would appear). If it were a Nigerian brand chopables.com or wackables.ng would have been good

This is similar to how musicians (or ghostwriters) write music... You must be in a state of 'creative flow', if not, na rubbish you go dey generate... and it is VERY MENTALLY TASKING... I can't participate in more than 1 or 2 contests in a week or even a month. so not a sustainable source of income for me... `just for 'fun' sort of income only.

Finally, look at the top-rated creatives, go to their profiles and look at the domain names they have listed on there. If you take time to study the names, there is a general trend that they seem to follow... try and capitalize on the trend and play around with online dictionaries and thesauruses to get positive results.
