oge966: Do I get more points adding my BSc on my WES application after adding my MBA degree?
Again will I get more points if I add my MSc degree which I'm currently undergoing on my application? I can’t say for sure oh. Me I evaluated just first degree and masters. I had initially put my professional qualification, but took it out. But to the best of my knowledge, the only certificate that might give you a higher point is a PhD. So it might not be worth going through the stress. I would say that if your BSc is from a Nigerian Uni, maybe don’t bother - but aim to do it in the future because you might need it for work? |

oge966: Thank you.
I have started my WES application after creating account but I'm having issues adding recipients that WES will send my evaluation reports to. I don't recognize the institutions on the pre-approved list or is this not necessary? My house address and IRCC has been added by default and I'm a bit confused what to enter on the recipients fields.
Secondly is it advisable to use residential address as correspondence address for WES and other applications considering the way mails that are sent to Lagos addresses get lost. If no what other alternatives should I consider?
Thank you for your support. For mine, I used only IRCC and my Nigerian house address. The physical address doesn’t matter so much, because you get sent a soft copy which you can use for your application. If you have alternative reliable address outside of Nigeria then I guess you can use that since it’ll be faster than coming all the way to Nigeria. |

2loadedguy: Is it just me, I noticed I can't access my Express entry account when I log in as the site keep returning me to the homepage. Has anyone else experienced this and what is the solution as I'm tired of login in and seeing the same thing happening. It happened to me once, then I tried a different browser and I was able to log in. Have you tried that? |

oge966: Thank you for the advice.
Finance is not the issue but I need more time to prepare for the exams so I can get good results except you have an idea of how I can fast track it and still achieve my goal of getting good results? 3 months is a long time - you can maybe practice for 6 weeks? Have you tried videos on YouTube? I used Lizielts and JayE2 - go through the thread from Part 1, you’d find lots of resources to study with. Based on personal experience I’d say; pick a date, book the exam and make sure you watch videos at least one hour daily. That’s what I did and it worked for me. Everyone is different though, so figure out what will work for you. |

oge966: Fantastic! Thank you.
Please do have an idea if Microsoft certifications will earn me more points and if yes, how do I go about evaluating them? I’m not sure - but I guess if you input it when making your WES application they’d be able to guide you further? Or you can search the thread to find out if anyone has had a similar situation. |

oge966: Thank you for your response.
I have checked and saw that I can use WES for evaluation of my degrees.
Would you advise I proceed with the evaluation now even when I have not written my Ielts exams?
I plan writing the Ielts exams in three months time and I don't want the delay associated with getting WES results to affect the entire process for me.
Thank you as I expect your feedback Yes, you should proceed with your evaluation now, especially if your certification is from a Nigerian institution as there’s a longer lead time. There isn’t really any correlation between ielts and evaluation. |

Dears,
Please has anyone had an encounter with getting transcript out from OSU, please share your contact.
For perspective, I need to get out the transcript from the diploma year. After sharing the BSc transcript with WES, they asserted that it only started from year 2. I reached out to OSU, and they are telling me it would take one year to come out.
Please help! |

Nukkiz: Please for married women in this group, what exactly does cic mean by legal name change? cos I have my court wedding certificate and newspaper publication for a change of name . Does it mean I have to swear an affidavit again or what? Your responses will be highly appreciated. Thanks I think to be on the safe side, just get an affidavit as well - it doesn't cost so much anyway. |

Lol, how would you hack carrying him around when you are trying to sort out settling into a new country? The real question is would you have to buy a ticket for him? |

mamatea: Nothing peculiar as far as I can tell. I applied as a single applicant in October 2018 and added my dependant in August 2019. I ordered GCMS notes in September 2019 but was advised that IRCC needed up to another 90 days to provide the notes. Emailed Ralph in October 2019, he advised that Criminality passed, Eligibility under review and Security not yet started. Medical is expired now so may need to redo that although I've not been asked to yet. So I'm waiting patiently. Oh okay. Could be because you added a dependent? I’m hopeful that you’d get some good news soon. All the best! |

ashiwajew: Please which ielts exam writing mode is preferable, computer based or paper based? Please I need advice on this urgently. Thanks It’s a personal preference and it depends on where your strength lies. I did CBT, because I’m more comfortable/faster typing than having to hand write and crosscheck for capital letter etc. It’s the same exam anyway, so it just depends on you. |

Agbeni33: Good morning all. Please I need your candid advice .
Am planning to move to Canada next year. In using EE I have used CRS calculator to calculate my point and I have up to the point that qualify me to get ITA. The problem to start the process by myself is POF. For now all my life savings is not up to the required POF.
In addition to this, there is a pastor I know and in the process of conversation I told him about my plan and he said his not an agent but he can help me out to get to Canada. He as helped one guy in the church to migrate to canny. This man said I should bring 800k for the whole process. This man lived in Europe before he came back to Nigeria.
Please I need your good advice on which part to follow. Lmao, please abeg don't pay anybody. Save your hard earned money for better things ahead. Btw, you should be on this thread instead: https://www.nairaland.com/5471101/canadian-express-entry-federal-skilled |

I plan to use my mutual fund as POF - I’m getting a reference letter from them.
Do I need to get a signed and stamped copy of the SOA in addition or I can’t just do like an email/online copy? |

Dfavouredone: Please, let me ask one more question. Because of the waec wahala, i don't want to use WES for ECA.
So I have the option of ICES or IQAS (degree is BSc Industrial Relations and Personnel Management).
My concern is ICES is faster but don't give a soft copy, so what if the hard copy get lost in transit, while IQAS give both soft and hard copy but is slower.
Obviously, they both therefore have their own limited and disadvantages, but can someone with insight advise which is lesser 'devil' to go for?
Thanks. Just FYI, WES doesn’t require WAEC anymore... so you might want to reconsider? |
