Good day, please does anyone know if it’s possible to pick up my spouse’s IELTS certificate at BC, and if so please what do I need. I would appreciate the response
Yes, very possible - let him/her write an authorization letter and go with a copy of their government ID. You can search the BC website for further information!

I think there’s a maintenance on the site, a couple of people have complained about being able to log in. So just hold on a bit!

So I will like to share my testimony about the success of my IELTS test

I contacted @blissnenye (an IELTS tutor) who tutored me on IELTS writing and I had LRWS --8.5,7.5,8,7.5 . And that this was even my first attempt and I had to contact her for the coaching session which paid off as I didn't have to write IELTS again because of writing. So I'll recommend anyone having issues with their writing to contact her, the fee is affordable also.

While following federal route, must my course of study tally with my work experience?

My question is, Pls must my work experience tally with my course of study while following federal route?

Saskatchewan found my application ineligible because I didn’t study any Agriculture related course and now I want to rewrite my Ielts and follow federal route since I’ll have 473 with band 8.

Ielts have only been my issue. Written twice and still stocked at band 6 that’s why I optioned for PNP.

But now, I want to follow federal route and I hope my course of study Verses my work experience wouldn’t be an issue in federal route pls?
Yes, your education vs work experience won’t be a deterrent in the FSW route. Have you tried getting a tutor for your writing yet? Many have been talked about on this thread.

All the best!

Pls house, I'm begging not to be referred to previous threads on my questions........ Pls what is the best way to get PNP, and how? I started this Express entry early 2015 but got discouraged because of ielts results. But I have now decided to start again before my wes expires in a few months time. I'm planning to rewrite ielts again very soon but when I calculated my crs score on the calculator (despite assuming I have outstanding results in ielts), my score didn't pass 420, (single, first degree, early 30's, no family ties in Canada, no additional point on any Canadian assessment like work or school).

Pls, what should I do? I'm seriously begging oooo
Hello there, You can do any of the following:
1. BCS IT certification
2. CIMA
3. TEF French exam

They have been greatly discussed in the thread(s). So just read through and weight your options.

All the best!

Raccoon Orientation for Canada-Bound Nigerians

By *Pius Adesanmi*

Then I noticed that Tise all along had had the same attitude as our Oyinbo neighbours.

Now she is glad that some Raccoon babies had survived and would not be moved.

I realized that only her parents had a problem.

I realized that we were two Nigerians raising a Canadian.

This is her country.
This is her culture.
These are her people.
These are her baby raccoons.

I jejely borrowed myself brain and joined the little girl in rejoicing that three baby raccoons had survived.
Please abeg me I'm happy for Tise, such a nice read! grin grin cool

Sorry that I'm late to the party lol

People of God i have a question. URGENT!!

I am the PA and don't want to fill in my spouse's Work history so he will not need to get a reference from his former work place. Can i just mention his work experiences in the "personal history" section? Will this suffice and not be seen as "Misrepresenataion"?

Please help o.
If his work experience does not give you any points, then yes just put everything in the personal history.

Have you tried logging into your Wes account from an actual desktop?

Also, on your mobile Wes account do you get to the point where it says application completed? At the bottom there should be a tab that reads download pdf report

So Nigerians would no longer send passports to Accra for stamping again. Effective 4th of November passports will no longer be going to Accra and would be processed and stamped in Nigeria. This would lead to a favourable turn around time.
This should be good news for us right? How come it wasn’t even done in Nigeria in the first place?

Good day All,

Please i am new here and needs all possible assistance i can get in gathering fact apply for a federal skilled immigration program or regional skilled immigration program. I am an operations manager currently and achieved this with just the certifications.

1, what are the differences between both programs
2, which is always better to go for
3, what steps needed to be taken to achieve same
4, what is usually the timeline to achieving this
5, Do i have to be a degree holder to achieve this
Hello Raahym, you’re welcome to the thread.

The first step is usually to read Page 1 of this thread, as it gives you loads of insights on how to go about the process and you might be lucky to find other people that have been in a similar situation like you.

My suggestion, is that you read through Page1, and then the preceding threads as well. Then you take it from there.

All the best!

Thank you for your insight. This was almost 5 years ago so I'm not too clear on the details. But I seem to remember exiting the vehicle and going through a search. Also the border officers taking our biometrics (i think so?) and issuing each one of us with a stamped white paper indicating our entry and exit. It took us about 4 hours for the whole entry and exit process.
Ah! Your initial message sounded like you guys just made a U-turn and were back into the US lol.

If the process took 4hours, you definitely have to put it in your application. Perhaps use an LOE, to give as much as information as you can remember. Maybe even call the friends you were in the car with to give their own version of the story so you have something coherent.

I just read your initial message again, it was not your intention to enter the country but you sha entered lol. cheesy

kryptonyte729:
I just remembered that at one time while living in the US, my friends and I were driving to a nearby city to visit friends. Unfortunately, we took the wrong turn and soon found ourselves headed to Canada! Once we realized we were going the wrong way, it was too late, we could not turn around or reverse (road signs indicated it would be illegal). So we had to approach the border and were instructed by the border officers that we would need to enter and exit Canada first and then re-enter the US in order to continue on our way.

My question is, do I need to include this in my travel history?despite the fact that it was not my intention to visit Canada on that day neither did we go past the border office and also we did not carry our passports only our school ID was used for identification.
Might be a myopic view, but if your passport was not stamped/if there was no official documentation that you got into Canada then I’m not sure it is a problem. No need to talk about it.

Pls, when is the next draw?
No one knows, it comes like a thief in the night. cheesy grin

Well, according to the cic website, draws occur every fortnight on a Wednesday. There are rare occasions of back to back draws though and could be on any day of the week.

It is totally up to them - we are hopeful for one tomorrow, so that the scores can at least come down.

We plan to spend xmas and new year in the US before hard landing in Canada. We plan to book a one way ticket for this purpose and then book tickets to Canada from the US (reason being that we cannot make payments from Nigetia for airlines that ply the US -Candada route).

Now our questions are
1) will it be a problem at US immigration because of the one way ticket. Bear in kind that I will be visibly pregnant at the time.
2) Aircanada and their counterparts all have lesser baggage allowance than our regular Ethiopia airlines etc. Can we just send our bags via DHL? Or are there other options available.
I have not landed yet, lol. But based on how pregnant ladies have been treated in the US I suggest you already have your Canada ticket booked and confirmed, just to avoid any stories that touch really.

On sending your bags, I think there are other cargo options, maybe you can search the older threads to see what people have done.

All the best, and congratulations on your bun in the oven!!!

Thanks for your reply. This might help newbies so pay attention.

For my question on whether all International Passports are needed, I have concluded that they are. However, I have four International Passports and scanning each page with a stamp, then saving in one PDF file might make the file size too large. I'll still go ahead with this given I am unsure on whether the system will accept this and/or whether it's "overkill" to scan each page (over 30 pages of stamp in all my passports).

Thanks to all the elders in the house. Abeg no vex for my comments cum questions.
Whatever you choose to do just make sure you put the most recent as the first page so that it doesn't look like you've uploading an expired one.

Me i'm not uploading the data pages of my old passports.

Hello people. I wrote the computer delivered IELTS on Friday 25 October. I read results are out 5-7 days. Do they stick to this?I'm so anxious!
As at August when I wrote, they stuck to the 5 days, but in recent times not so much. For perspective, my hubby wrote on the 12th and didn't get the results until the 21st.

I wonder if they have such a huge workload now or what?

Wishing you all the best, for a great result!

It depends on the individual. First you have to be willing to learn the language. Secondly, do you Iike group classes or private sessions? I started learning French off and on since 2013 but finally focused on it properly last year and attained a B2 level here in Lagos. This year for my TEF I studied past questions from YouTube, attended the classes at Alliance and ALSO had a private teacher. I wrote every single day and ensured it was proofread. So if you’re a beginner your timeline could be 6-12 months. It may be faster for some people. If you're intermediary then maybe 3-6 months for TEF. Hope that was helpful.
Yes it was, thank you very much! So it’s not a quick fix to my CRS score then. undecided
