Not that am trying to defend DPR faults in this recruitment but the way things are unfolding in this thread is very funny....Now we have people complaining about the integrity of this recruitment, some even call the country a sh*t hole country(which am partially in agreement with), but the moment DPR calls again and one or two of them receive the call, they will go awol another set will emerge with the same complaints(remember the last week protest group).....am also an applicant and I have not been called by DPR but my cousin was called when DPR started calling successful officially. me, I don't know any SH candidate but the only one am sure of is that of my cousin who was called mainly on merit, am not saying there are no SH candidate but i don't just know any personally....if u cannot wait like me for God's grace, kindly follow elbangeez advice about using long legs also, the lamenting is just too much on this thread. |

today, people have started receiving the call and they are also saying they didn't know anybody in DPR.....if you are not called, just take heart and move on, don't start another unnecessary movement and another "the recruitment is scam sh*t". Those people that got it on merit today (especially onyidirike) shld stress their testimony more on how they got it on merit. not that after complaining and u got urs, u will now leave everything in bad shape in here. |

I understand the essence of a protest, but what I don't understand is the real motive behind this particular protest. 1. since after the exam and most esp. after the interview we are all aware there is going to be SH and Merit list (the % is the only issue). 2. SH candidates have testify(though with hesitation) and Merit candidates have also testified (% still an issue) 3. do we expect everyone or half of us on nairaland to dominate the two list? we are not even upto 200(guests and followers combine) 4. some of us are even saying they did well both in exam and interview, yes according to ur own assessment....even if it's purely merit, u might still not make it. 5. some of the protest organisers are even ignorantly assigning SH candidate status to anybody against their proposed protest. are u kidding me... 6. Am not the one to debunk or affirm the list, but i will advise all of u going for the protest that u shld not use the list as the only hiding card u have. 7. you shld also know that if u are planning or praying for this recruitment to be cancelled , the end result will affect the chances of the Merit candidates already been called and are still going to be called (esp EH) even more than the SH candidates 8. lastly, to tell u protest organisers what u want to hear. go ahead with the protest but make sure, I mean make absolutely sure u know what and how u are going to do it. thanks..... |

elbangeez: this is what happened, people were called from Lagos to go to abuja to collect their APLs, the APLs were mailed to abuja together with the names of the owners of the APLs, the list is nothing serious because no zonal office has the original list, the original list is in Lagos on oga shakurs desk. The merit list is sealed, if you are in you are in and it will not be changed. The candidates that will likely be replaced are the stakeholders candidates, thats why their aponsors were quick to collect their APLs for them as delay is dangerous. stakeholder list replaced by who? another stakeholder list? |

The candidates course of study in relation to the position applied is the first thing considered before other factors. This factor wasn’t applied when candidates were shortlisted for the interview. Therefore even if a person with BSc. in computer engineering that applied for an Electrical Engineer position aced the test and interview, he/she is more likely to be dropped. If it’s allowed it would be unfair to the Candidates that hold a Bachelors degree in Electrical Enginerring if a computer engineering guy that aced both test and interview with high score is dropped for an electrical engineer with low score because the post applied for is electrical. then quota system/federal character concept isn't bad. hello guys, I commend us all for all our patience, even when some have reach their broken point, others are still halfway, while others are optimistic some are pessimistic while some claim to be realistic. this is just how we approach the world because we are built different. the reason why am writing this is because I recently just came across a thread on DPR (2010-2013) recruitment on *naijahotjob* that is when I come to terms with everything that has been happening on this forum..after reading through most of their pages (I think a little more than 400) these are some of my observations.
1. it seems like different individuals playing the same role in the two recruitment(i.e. theirs and ours ) and everything that is happening in this forum is so consistent(with little deviation though) to their own
2. one of the deviation is that, unlike ours, most of their Generals (people who supply information just like Tami, Smartgrid etc) didn't deactivate their account in the face of heavy criticisms till the end
3. there are always people, mostly with new account who will try to rubbish the Generals information
4. there is also constant date changing due reasons like budgets, FCC letter of compliance, PIBG etc. even when the then minister of petroleum specifically fix a date for Apl distribution on media, they didn't get there letters until almost 9 months later
5. some of them were able to see the list of successful candidates when the list was compiled and sent to FCC..may be the guy telling us that our list is not yet with FCC might be right. if it is, we should have seen somebody who should know and able to check
6. passing of budget may or may not be the only reason for the delay of calling successful candiates because even when budget was passed, they still have to wait for almost 6 month before the distribution of apl
7. and lastly, the journey was not easy but majority "claimed" they got in on merit |

mancongroup: Everyone can now see that the list is not ready. When TAMIHAWT said it here people attacked her. They never knew that the list they were talking of is the OND list. They we all can now see how accurate TAMI have been with her info. The ' I too know' members here have ended up chasing her away from the thread but we thank God some people have her contact. We can now relax our nerve and pray. hey man, not everybody is happy with how TAMI was treated but it's enough time u people stop bringing up her name everytime...since she has deactivated her account u can deactivate urs also, so as to follow her as herds if u think there is no more reliable information on this platform...I as a person have always respected her opinion in deactivating her account so let's not dwell much on her matter. |

I think most people used their residential lga...they (dpr) shld be aware of it, since I can't be from one state and have lga in another state. maybe it doesn't mean much (state of origin is the real deal) or maybe not..there is not much we can do about it |

For each job role, top candidates would also be considered then... 4. There would be a careful selection of each of the selected candidates to make sure FCC standards thrive. (I would not specify the number of candidates for good reasons). 5. In each state, two candidates cannot be recruited from the same local government. 6. For states having numerous DPR staff in service, they might not get that many slots. 7. Amongst the 3800+, there are several applicants that missed the interview. 8. Class of degree would be a yardstick for shortlisting. 9. Selection is still ongoing but the process is rigorous due to many factors. 10. APLs will roll in between now and March. 11. Relax and pray. 12. The recruitment would be merit-based, it's being monitored closely. wow, those are very rigorous screening criteria/ process, that number 5 really caught my attention in a negative way..shoo |

I hv heard the list will be released from no where because they don't want unnecessary last minute pressure. So i doubt if the process will be known to share but fingers crossed. keboxxerxes: Good morning. What I am about to say might be offensive to some candidates on this thread. A lot of candidates here have raised some very interesting points as regards to the FCC factor. But before that, a lot of candidates by their actions already disqualified themselves from being successful in the interview. Before the guys in DPR pick out the list of successful candidates as approved by the FCC, they have to firstly weed out the unsuccessful candidates from the ones that have a better chance of being successful. 1. They would probably weed out candidates that missed the interview outrightly. 2. They might also weed out candidates that were absent on the day that they were to be interviewed and instead went to other venues to be interviewed. 3. They might also weed out candidates that came with incomplete documentation, or fraudulent documentation with regards to age and qualification. (Check your interview invites, proper documentation was labelled as a requirement). Putting these factors into consideration, more than half of the candidates invited fall under at least one or two of the aforementioned categories. By time they might have reduced the numbers, factors like interview/ CBT test performance, quota system or stake holder slots might now play a role in who may or may not be successful. In all, Gods grace is the ultimate, but come on, *if you didn't do what was expected of you, like for instance, honoring the interview invite, then it would be unfair on other candidates that honored the invite,* if God favoured someone who missed the interview outrightly. My opinion by the way. Please guys, no insults. though ur analysis seems alluring but it doesn't holds water... 1. ur claim that it won't be fair if those who doesn't honour the interview invite(including those who missed their date I presume) are successful and some of those who honour their invite are unsuccessful..now my question is this *will it be fair if those who didn't attend on their stipulated date but did very well in the CBT and interview altogether than those who honour their invite and didn't perform well enough are not successful? 2. but since u already mentioned that wat u want to say might be offensive, and I happen to fall in one of ur assumed unsuccessful candidates, I had to write this to correct ur assumptions because some people are starting to believe ur analysis because it favours them. 3. and lastly, myself and those that falls under those categories will hope and pray that the people in charge of the recruitment wud not THINK like u. Tamihawtt87: I don't know how the final shortlisting will go but for this interview those shortlisted were majorly on merit and others were based on stakeholder list. However, I presume the final after interview will aslo include quota system, stakeholder slot etc but ultimately i believe alot of merit candidates are being given a high fighting chance. Yes quota system falls within competing for top scores with your fellow state candidate so i think it's one man for himself and pray to be favoured. pls I receive a text message(no email message yet) from DPR this morning telling me how impressive I performed in the test and that I should logon to my profile for interview details, but when I log in my profile page kips showing me error message even wen have tried using different browser both on phone and PC, pls can u give any explanation on this or maybe u've seen or heard someone with similar case. am asking u this question because of how reliable all your information on this platform have helped so many people and have been proven to be genuine. thanks |

DPR is recruiting jus close to 300, and expect most of d selected guys to b from the north, if ure from the south wt no connection, beta go n sleep..
cutoff is yet to b decided, it would be set base on geozones, if dey r to select 5people from ur zone, jus d top 5 goes.. the course of study also matter...

When you begin to see my handwritten "summary", you'd think I'm the best students in that department and this is how everyone thought, but I'm not. When I see people using my work, I get that feeling that is or'gasmic in nature.
There was a day I sat with a guy writing geology of Nigeria, the supply was so torrent or came like a torrential rain that he came downstairs and said a prayer that no one has ever said to me before; I can never forget that day. It pays to help when you see someone who genuinely needs that help.
Those who kept their answers or solutions away have not used those solutions to solve real life problems. So u still kip on comparing school exam to recruitment exam...don't u knw that the latter depends on some other people failing while the former did not and will never be affected if ur colleagues fails...so it normal for u to help during school exam(I did so too, more than u can even imagine)...and u people kip shouting DPR should employ on merit wen u kip giving out questions, do u think that is how to call for merit employment. Jst stop going against my argument when u are clearly talking without fact and logic but jst on unwarranted and illogical sympathy to feel good that u are helping others *jst sit down quietly and think about it for a moment b4 u reply* |

People like you, while in school, kept every material on a particular subject hidden and make it available to peeps 30min to the exam just to be the only one scoring "A" or making first-class. Those guys who got E or F when you made "A" because you had a pq or a material that all the questions possibly came from are possibly doing better than you right now. DPR did not manufacture those questions-what's original about them?
Having those questions doesn't mean one could get exactly the same. Success in this test is subjunctive , so save us your theory on "advantage". Life is about what you share, not what you keep to yourself. Use ur head bro...u don't know hw I behave in school and moreover school exam is different from this because to be frank, ur success on this test depends on some others scoring below u, so don't start as if u are all righteous....I am pro share. I live for that....We just have to recognise the line. It's a different thing to share my experience at an exam or test,It's another thing to be telling you questions and helping you prepare especially when we're in a race.
