I hereby respectfully ask veteran coders in the house. Would it be possible to build a function into a web app in such a way that it wont be revealed i.e. readily accessible until much later i.e. already coded as part of the source code of a website or mobile app, a feature is built into the source code land page but is not visibly accessible until the coder decide to make it available for its users to make use of.

Example, we all know Nairaland doesn’t have a chat function or dislike button, two features which can be build into it anytime but let’s assume it has already been part of it from inception but was decided to be unlock or made available now. That’s the question I’m asking.

This is the advice that I can think of, getting Tech jobs are hard because you need to prove yourself, most companies want devs that can take on jobs with minimal training, and it's not the basic design of static sites, it's understanding JS and building applications at least.

The easiest way is freelance, a job is harder to get than freelance, I do Chrome Extension and it's actually easy than building a React Application, that's a niche to try, if not find non-tech gigs like WordPress Content manager.

As for power, that one is a difficult one.

If someone advises you, people, you people reply with insults, which is another reason, a referral is hard on this section, how can I refer a dev that insults people for no reason?

UI/UX gigs are tricky, but most of the job is done, if you have a good case study and Figma designs, without that, you're just wasting your time. The Case-studies, user research, Personas and low-fidelity and high-fidelity designs.

There is someone here on this thread who has a good UI/UX profile, I commented on it, look at his profile, any category you are interested in, always look at those freelancers from Google search and see what type of jobs they are doing, and the type of skills they have. These things are few minutes that will give insights on how to approach gigs.

We can't be repeating the same advice, page by page, which is why every freelancer is always encouraged to always do their research. this is a competitive market, don't always expect hand-outs honestly.

It's really not complex, just have a good portfolio and apply to those jobs, there's nothing a group can do for you except encourage you to have a good portfolio and apply for jobs.

Her category and yours differ, how her clients will check for portfolios is different from yours,
