I’ve replaced the whole plug all 4 of them, the error code has disappeared and I can comfortably enter speed 100. Thank you so much my Ogas ..

However as I was about driving into my compound the car stopped all of a sudden and I thought it was battery, I tried another battery but still the car isn’t starting and also my steering isn’t moving.

It’s hard and static and car isn’t starting or attempting to start. I’ve scanned it and there’s no error code showing.

Please what can be wrong as there’s no way I can move the car right now and I’m causing huge traffic already

I’ll appreciate experts in the house response

A similar issue happened to my car recently. The cause of it was one of the plug wires not delivering enough current. So you can check that also.

Your mechanic should replace plugs and clean the injectors but most importantly, You should replace mechanic if you must tell him what to do to fix a misfire sir.

Can anybody recommend a good mechanic that can fix the issue and stays around Yaba, Lagos.

Although the car symptoms isn’t showing again even when I scan it but I can notice it from my mpg, it’s consuming more fuel than usual

Good day everyone, I noticed something with my car. I was driving on the highway yesterday and immediately I hit 40mph. The car started jerking and it slowed down and the acceleration wasn’t hitting again until I had to park turn off ignition and on. And the moment it hit 40mph. The check engine light begins to blink.

I recently collected the car from a mechanic workshop. It was hit by the side but everything seem to be fine before I gave him.

Experts in the house please I need your advice

Here’s the code it brought out after scanning.. how do I go about fixing this

You have a misfire. One or more of your plug, injector or coil or a combination of any or all of them can cause such issue. Scan and post codes here so we know what to advice you on.

This is the result of the scanning

i did experience similar issue with my 2014 accord, turns out the battery terminal is not tight enough,
The glitch happens very fast like within 1-2secs the whole electrical systems trips on and off

Exactly my Oga .. the one only difference in mine is that whenever I steer it to the leftwards or rightwards it does that and I’ve replaced the battery terminal. It still did it yesterday

You explanation is not clear. What is the drivability issues you are having?

The code is related to faulty wiring, blown fuse or battery related.

Please throw more light of what happens to the car when driving

Okay.. so basically for like a week whenever I try to reverse my car. My infotainment goes off and immediately the steering becomes stiff.

Not until yesterday evening, I wanted to turn and all off sudden the steering wasn’t moving and each time I forcefully moves it, it drags me back and Almost immediately my infotainment will trip off and on too.

I don’t know if this is clear enough but in essence it felt like I could not turn, reverse or even drive the car as the steering was static, not until I turned off the ignition and on back .

Good evening house

I’ll like to know what’s making my car steering ceasing when I try to steer and immediately it’ll turn off my infotainment system and I’ll feel the car jerk a bit. I had to turn off ignition and on back before it became normal

It recently started happening. Then yesterday I noticed that whenever I turn left the car gives a creaking sound on the left tire.

Any idea what could be wrong sirs. I drive an Honda Accord 2013

Where's the thread? I'd like to know more about it cos I'm currently facing it right now.

Same here . Apparently my cat was absent when dealer bought it so instead of replacing with oem he bought the Chinese one which I currently use. However my check engine light is still always on and my mpg is not so good for a 2013 accord

That code is for either a damaged camshaft position sensor A or B (there are 2 sensors plugged in somewhere beside and slightly under your valve cover)

OR

The mechanic has somehow misaligned your timing chain or it’s accompanying components.

From the way most mechanics are very impatient and use ‘strong hand’ in handling vehicles I’d suspect he’s either damaged one of your camshaft positioning sensors or he didn’t plug in the wires from the harness to them well.

Check your sensors, you can unscrew them each (usually 10mm screws) and switch their positions and scan the vehicle again. If the scan shows that the fault shifted from camshaft position sensors A to B or vice versa then it means it’s just a bad sensor but if after switching you still get the exact same code then there’s something definitely wrong with your harness or engine timing.

I really appreciate your response and I concur with the fact the the mechanic was impatient. I don’t want to use him again. Can anyone recommend a good Honda mechanic around yaba or lagos.

The idiot that did this works at the famous Honda village in oyingbo and now I’m scared of taking it back to him. He said I should bring it over tomorrow that his Rewire will check it

Was that code there before the repairs?

Check for any loose/cut wire or connector that connects the sensor

The code appeared after repairing valve cover seal. I’ve checked but I can’t seem to understand anything.

I rescanned and it came like that still.

I think it’s the front own ..

Then for the bearing .. Yh he told me it can replaced but I’d like to have an idea of the cost of the rubber and also the bearing.

Lastly, my AC has stopped cooling and he was saying it’s the Clutch that’s affected.

Really sorry for disturbing the house as this is my first ride and I’m not really experienced when it comes to car issues

I’ve sorted the bearing and the AC is now chilling.. then I also replaced the valve cover seal.

But as I drove this morning I noticed my car was kind of jerking and the acceleration was dragging. I can feel something is wrong

I’m really confused now as I want to be cartoon before I call my mechanic

What rubber? From my knowledge there’s only 2 types of ‘rubber’ where engine oil leakages could occur from.

There’s the front crankshaft oil seal and the rear crankshaft oil seal. The front is usually easier to replace and the one that leaks more often. They are both easy fixes only that the rear oil seal might require the engine to be brought down for replacement.

For your compressor bearing it can also be replaced too. Tell the mechanic to be careful with wires and sensors as he works.

Thank you very much .. I’ve gotten the Honda 0w20 motor oil from Luvin hubby so I’m going to service it this morning

However, as I’m about to service my mechanic noticed a engine oil leakage and claims that the rubber around the place for the engine isn’t there hence why the leakage occurred. Then also my AC compressor is giving a weird sound and he said that’s bearing.

However I’ve scanned the car recently and it was clear.

Who has any idea what this is before I tell him to proceed to fixing.

Thank you

5w30 though it isn't the recommend grade , it's not too far off so you can use it comfortably anytime you can't find 0w20. Basically you can use 5w30, 5w20, 0w30 but most preferably 0w20. In the future if you can't find 0w20, please look for 5w20 next then 0w30 then maximum 5w30 in this order . If you are in Lagos you can call 0703 166 2339 for your semi synthetic or fully synthetic fluid. He also does doorstep delivery

It uses 0w20 oil. Just get any original 0w20 engine oil. You can reach out to luvinhubby too

That’s what I thought of too but I now realized that when I went to service it at Honda place they used SN 5W30.

Is it safe or can I still use that or I need to use the 0w20 back
